okay let’s talk about aliens and their famous invasions
By meaing famous invasions, I mean all the typical scenarios we see in movies, videogames, books, etc.
From what I’ve seen, most of the scenarios are more than just the same or being over-used. Let’s take a closer look.
Aliens try to colonize our planet. They either try to enslave the humanity or wipe them all out.
Aliens invade the Earth. Complete annihilation of humanity begins.
Aliens invade the Earth in order to kidnap humans to use them something as harvesters for the aliens’ new generations.
Same as No. 1, just that the alien colonization is because of the aliens trying to take a control all over the galaxy. They offer us to live only if we accept our new leader. If not, death.
There might be many other reasons which I haven’t included here, but these seem to be one of the favourites among directors and producers.
However, what I’m trying to tell here is that I have never noticed or seen or even read a popular book, movie, TV series which is about aliens trying to destroy us because we, humans, could be a real threat to ALL other alien races out there.
Okay, this is already getting lenghty, but listen; humans would do anything so it would benefit their species and especially to those greedy people, people of power, etc. We stil wage wars against our OWN species over resources, religion, power and other. We still judge people based on natural color of skin, our media are telling lies to our faces, there are many things on this list I would love to include here. And that shit is indeed scary.
Also the fact that we improve and develop new technology rather quickly is another reason why aliens would be actually afraid of us. Imagine that some alien race indeed observes our development and how we change - they must be thinking we are fucking scary. Why? We kill each other in wars because of fucking resources, we are destroying our own planet and yet we still want to contact with aliens.
You know what, I just want to see a movie, where an alien race decides to destroy us because they fear that if they didn’t do that now (while our space technology isn’t the best for humans to travel from one planet to another), we would have enough time to develop technology to colonize other alien planets. And unfortunately, “kill” the planet out of our own greed, selfishness and hunger for power. I want to see those aliens giving us a legit reason why they want to wipe the humanity. Because they are afraid of us. Because they doubt we would change to better beigns. Because they fear that the same thing would happen to other habitable planets in the space. Because they fear the same 1492 thing would happen on a planet with a less developed alien race. And with no other choice left, they decide to exterminate us - like some disease.
Because who knows, humans are a disease to the planet Earth.
Also last words to end this ramble - if you do know any movie, book, TV series which is about this scenario (aka, aliens trying to kill us out of fear we would destroy other planets and colonize already colonized planets), please, don’t be afraid to tell me. And also, don’t be afraid to tell me your opinions about this, I’m willing to talk about this topic.
