Ripley 8, Alien: Resurrection
Look, I'm just a geologist. I like rocks. I LOVE... rocks. Though it's clear you two don't give a shit about rocks but what you do seem to care about is gigantic dead bodies. And though I don't really have anything to contribute in the gigantic DEAD BODY ARENA... I'm gonna go back to the ship. If you don't mind.
Fifield, Prometheus 2012
In the end, I discovered that audiences supply their own answers to missing information, and it's usually just as good as what the filmmakers had in mind, or better. Tell an audience too much, and they grow bored with the film because it's spoon-feeding them. Tell them not quite enough, on the other hand they become alert and start guessing and supplying answers, which is a more enjoyable way to watch a movie because it engages your imagination.
Dan O'Bannon, Something Perfectly Disgusting 2003
Something I remind myself of when I watch the prequels, and the Ripley chronicles, so many unanswered questions and plot holes are there to keep us engaged -MUTHUR 9000
