Alien story idea I've been toying with...

I’ve been thinking about a mid-size space station, nothing special about it. Maybe it’s a relay station or a way station or some kind of mediocre, not-highly-military-or-science place. Anyway, all the space stations have a kind of virtual reality plug-in network thing, where you can talk to others but they don’t know what species you are and you don’t have an avatar or anything. It’s just voices. Not entirely sure how it would work or what it would look/feel like.

But anyway. There’s this species of alien that’s kind of looked down on by others because they’re known for being very aggressive and warlike and kinda shitty, especially on their home world, but obviously not all of them. They’re also kinda freaky looking, with angler-fish/deep sea vibes, going on - pointy teeth, big eyes, chitin, danger bois (gn) - so most people find them repulsive or frightening, particularly humans. (Inspired by Mass Effect's vorcha)

Our human plugs in one day just to chill out after work (working in the refectory or something) and they get talking to someone who they really gel with. They log on again and again and talk and share music, and the human talks about earth and describes it and shows their friend videos and simulations of their favourite places but their friend never reciprocates, saying they don’t have anything like that worth sharing.

Human overhears a fellow human talking about that ‘freaky deep sea fucker in engineering’ and thinks it’s shitty to talk like that about someone but doesn’t follow up, and that night when they clock off and plug in, their friend is really low.

Long story short, they fall in love without ever seeing each other. Alien boy rejects the idea of meeting in person on the space station and freaks out, and isn’t online for a week or so. They reconnect and move past it, but finally, after a lot of persuasion, he agrees to meet up with the human. He does warn them beforehand and they’re like… that's why you wouldn’t meet??? Because that’s not a problem for me… 👀

Earth an egg???

hear me out this is a very very dumb sleep deprived idea that may have Been done before but I no care. Planets are just alien eggs with the sun as a heat lamp like earth has crusts than a core the core is the alien yoke state, Jupiter as a gas planet is more like spider eggs but alien a larg gas sack keeping alien baby safe all the planets are eggs are moons also eggs or just snacks. The sun heat lamp or fire egg or even a secret 3rd thing you decide

ALIEN IDAE!!

alien idea you know how humans identify each other by their face. and you know how internet celebrities often get pressured into a face reveal.

well what about changing around that crucial identifying body part.

what about an alien species that looks basically the same to each other, like some kind of fucked up clay doll. they all have the same face, they're all the same height.

but their hands are all completely unique.

sometimes they have long fingers sometimes they have short fingers sometimes their hands are bright pink sometimes they have stripes or spots that go up to their armpits sometimes it looks like they're wearing gloves sometimes they only have three fingers sometimes they have thirty fingers sometimes they have claws sometimes they have no nails. and they tell each other apart based on their hands in the same way we recognize people from their faces.

and thus internet celebrities are pressured into doing a hand reveal instead of a face reveal.

or instead of hands being the identifying feature it would be funny if it were their feet instead. so like. their entire fanbase is just spamming SHOW US YOUR FEET SHOW US YOUR FEET

I had this idea for a type of Voltron LD alien species

I remembered once I created my own Alien species called Azuriens. They were bird type creatures living in the planet Azurie which was mostly made up of deep seas and floating islands. Most adapted to flying everywhere but others decided to go to the sea making the planet be a mixed species yet not mixed planet. The ones in the sea are called Zuriliens because in their native tounge "zuri" Meant water. The appearance of the Azuriens had large bird like wings with markings engraved into the feathers naturally from birth. Each different Azurien had a special marking, since its mostly dark in that planet they had to adapt to seeing in the dark while still being able to see perfectly when there is light and to have there own made body warmth since they are warm blooded creatures. They have small swirling markings across their bodies as well which indicates their age. For example: if you see and Azurien with swirling markings all across their bodies they are old, they may not look like it since they keep their appearance once they turn 30 or 23 years of age, but If they have swirls all across their bodies it indicates they are at least a couple 400 years old. These markings also create heat and warmth because once they pass the age of 56 their body heat starts becoming cold due to a mutation that happened when the first Azuriens were around, they told in their stories that this was a punishment from the gods because they advanced at an early stage of their evolution. Their skin can range from many different colors including forest green, aqua or ocean blue, and a light rose color. They are peaceful creatures and use the natural power of their planet to use magic for good deeds. If an Azurien uses it for bad then the planet punishes them by drowning. Their markings usually stay at a bright orange or yellow color when needed and stays a dim orange or yellow color when not needed. The markings can also change color if a huge amount of positive or negative energy is in the Azurien. Positive being a light blue and negative being a dark green, if it's a light blue the markings will glow lightly, but if its a dark green then the markings change into a very dim state. With the Zuriliens they had the same markings but the didn't have wings with the markings, they've adapted to live underwater, so obviously they had fins and tails like mermaids. Their tails and fins had the swirling markings instead of wings and the way they work is the same. They don't need to see well since their senses have evolved into incredible heights. Zuriliens and the Azuriens live in harmony with each other, they trade each other goods and are very welcoming to each other along with other travelers as long as they don't cause harm. They don't have a king or a queen, they don't have any type of emporer or empress, they believe that they are their own empress or emporer. They are the only ones who make decisions for their lives, not anybody else. Anyway, just wanted to leave this here because I thought it was a good idea.
