Kay so with the alien!John train of thought: Sherlock starts noticing things. Like really weird things. Like glimpsing John out of the corner of his eye and he's blue?! And was that a tail? So he starts documenting all of the weird stuff happening and like its some weird shit going on. This goes on for months, and involves Sherlock being a weird little shit and following John all over and sneaking into his room when he's not home and eventually he finds like John's gun from his "army days" (p1)

but it doesn't look like any gun he's ever seen so he waits for John to get home and when John finally walks up the stairs to the flat Sherlock is sitting in his chair in the dark and he totally pulls the turning the light on thing like the dramatic little baby he is, and John sees his "gun" in Sherlock's hand so he's just like... What's that you got there except it's really loud because he is the king of trash and Sherlock starts rattling off the things he noticed and John is just like okay FINE IM A FUCKING ALIEN OKAY and long story short they travel the Galaxy together and are in Love and everything is happy and gay
