Elsie's dress fits Alice quite nicely. turns out she's actually a knockoff? the original costs $120 and she was $50. OG is from Ashton Drake, which is a big company, not an independent artist, so I don't feel too bad about that. I actually like her better than the original. another baby should be here in the next few days, and I still need to get pictures of my micromini. I may have a problem

the girls have arrived!

the alien is hard vinyl and the kit is called Greyson. the little girl is silicone vinyl with glued mohair, from a "10 inch sleeping girl" kit that is very common but has no obvious source? if anyone knows where it's from let me know. they are both by NPK, and I bought them here and here. they are both much nicer than I was expecting for the price, and do actually match the listing pictures pretty well. the eyelashes on the sleeping girl are noticeably different, but they are still cute. her clothes don't fit quite right, and her headband doesn't fit at all, but that's not a big deal. her hair was a mess from shipping and not trimmed properly, but I had a lot of fun fixing it, so I don't mind one bit. I brushed it gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush, slightly wet it, patted it dry, and brushed it again, then trimmed away the uneven spots and wild hairs that stuck out. now it looks how it should. really happy with that, wasn't sure if it was fixable at first!

I will do more pictures when the sun comes up, but I had to do one now 💕 these are my first reborns. I had only ever seen the full silicone type until recently. I did, and still do, desperately want one, but I was so happy to find out about less expensive options! I still know very little about all this, and I'm not really sure where to start learning? are there online communities or something? or something like Wikipedia for reborns? if anyone can tell me where to look to learn more I would be grateful
