Do you still have that White Noise-devoted sideblog you used to have? I think it was called Grey-Static, or smth like that?

I do (it’s @tape-hiss) but haven’t had much time or energy to do much with it as of late. Since the whole Tumblr exodus I’ve been using Tumblr much much less anyway, so there’s that as well.

However, I did just reduce my workload some by changing up how my Patreon works, so maybe I’ll be able to get back to it again soon.

Hello, I would like to ask a likely very stupid but yet earnest question: In the Meatball discourse post (your post 172199283032), why does the meatball photo look like a hamburger patty rather than a spherical meatball? Or at least, what hamburger patties look like around here if you shape them by hand and don't press them enough. Are meatballs not actual balls in Germany, like they are in the US? Or is it just a picture?

Meatballs aren’t actually round in Germany, no. Well, if you make them at home they aren’t. I have seen perfect meatballs, as in actual balls (that’s what she said…) at the butcher’s but other than that… I mean, they’re just easier to cook this way. And they cook quicker so it makes more sense to make them a little flat and not completely spherical. :D

Also: They’re not actually called “balls” in German, so……..
