Y’know, I just realized something.
Captain America is still Lawful Good in Civil War.
He’s fighting a law which he believes is detrimental to society, which is something that people don’t really take into account that it’s okay for LG people to do.
At the end of the day, Lawful Good is altruism. As long as a law benefits and protects it should be followed to the letter. A law that will tie up the world’s greatest heroes for days while people deliberate about the potential hazards? That won’t fly. It neither benefits nor protects the people and will allow for more damage to be done.
Tony, in this case, is Lawful Neutral. He follows the law because it’s the law and it has a point.
For the longest time I was team Iron Man because I thought that was the LG route, but now that I’ve taken a moment to step back, I think I’m with Cap on this one.
