something stutters in his chest when jason looks up at her. ❛ kori– ❜ he starts softly. people shouldn’t be allowed to just say things like that. things that make his heart twist behind his ribs. he doesn’t think he’s ever brought light to anyone’s life ever. he doesn’t think he’s capable of it. especially not now. not when his hands are stained too red to ever be cleaned. not when he’s more rage than person.
and yet here she is. an alien princess insulting him and paying him compliment in the same breath. telling him he matters, that he’s important to her.
