Shes super patient with him, actually. She handles the important paperwork and politics while encouraging Alistair to hype people up after the final battle. He's amazing at morale, he can make you feel like the crisis isn't that bad and you can handle it!
She sits with him while he learns about all his responsibilities, patiently explaining the documents they need to look at and review and why. Explains every position in court , why they're important , and what is expected of them.
He learns she's obsessed with coffee and goes out of his way to buy special roasts from the market district.
She laughs at his jokes , they're corny and hilarious and no one else really jokes around her. He treats her like a human being and she is stunned by it.
He's so jovial, so good-natured and goofy, but beneath it he's sharp, he's down to earth and he knows what must be done. He's a commoner too, more so than Anora even if you consider their upbringing, they become very popular with the people.
They go out drinking together. They push for elven rights together, the alienage gets repaired and rebuilt. They support Bann Shianni without hesitation.
She makes a point of deferring to him, so he can get used to making decisions too. She emphasises that his voice is also important and that they are ruling TOGETHER. She encourages his self confidence.
She doesn't force him to consummate on their wedding night. They'll do it when he's ready too - if he's ready too. It's politically stupid maybe, but so much has already been taken from both of them.
Slowly, she falls for him. He's beautiful, he's amazing, he's everything.
His feelings develop slower, she's tall, strong, and supports him. He notices early on she tends to forget to take care of herself - especially right after the blight. She doesn't eat, hardly sleeps, and exercises to the point of exhaustion. He steps in - he is always there with food, with company, with a drink or an ear whatever she needs. And maker help her if she doesn not retire to bed when he does and she's not there in the morning. She will get an earful.
They have to share a room. The bed is huge so they have space. He gets so sued to her presence. He'll just start to talk about whatever is on his mind, and she'll listen.
