What a night! It was such an honour to work at the screening of Hulu Series 'The Handmaid's Tale'. Absolutely amazing pilot episode that made my insides and nether regions feel so many emotions. How timely that it comes at a time where it is crucial for us to keep having conversations about women's reproductive rights. Highlights of this screening include : Seating Kimiko Glenn in the dark because she was late. Overhearing Jonathan Groff and friends talk about the Met Gala. One lady said she's trying to skip it to which Jonathan said, 'Don't you get blacklisted if you do that?'. Michael Moore (if you knew me in film school you know I love him) and I exchanging smiles and laughs during the panel. Later he thanked me for letting him exit a different way. Telling Michaela Angela Davis (not the Black Panther, the other one) who has always been at the forefront of the natural hair movement that I admire her work. She put her hand on my heart and said, 'Aww thank you'. Taking off the 'Hulu Reserved' paper that was stuck to Jonathan Groff's friend Ricky's foot. Jonathan said, 'Nice catch'. I told him thank you and said I adore his work. He smiled and then I pointed him in the direction of the exit. • • • Pre-@handmaidsonhulu screening at #tribeca2017 Phenomenal show catch it April 26th! #AListLife #universe #actorslife (at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center)
