In the gloriously delightful film "Roman Holiday" starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, their characters share two kisses, one by the canal and one in the car as they say goodbye to one another. In his apartment, they share a very emotional and tender hug and some cheek and forehead kisses. I recently discovered this image of them kissing on the lips in the apartment scene, which is not shown in the movie.
Does anyone know the story behind it? Was it from a discarded take? An alternate version of the scene? I'd love to know!
