idk how many people here have seen Three Thousand Years of Longing, but Alithea is one of THE most autistic-coded characters I’ve ever seen. Honestly I don’t think it can even be considered subtext when she straight up says the way her brain is wired makes it hard for her to read people’s emotions, but that she feels them strongly through stories

I did not like that woman in three thousand years of longing😕 rather just an entire movie with the djinn and his stories and that one dude who got a man to tell him stories after the perils of war. Does that make sense???!
