He never thought he'd want to leave his new home. Xephyr was perfect and he didn't have to worry about anything. But sometimes the boredom became unbearable when Xeph left, and today he'd decided to go for a short walk. Unfortunately that walk was turning out to be not so short. He was lost. Maybe he'd just go back the way he came. He turned and--promptly bounced off something huge and living. Sep landed with a grunt on the pavement, all the air knocked out of him.
Just because it was summer now didn’t mean that he couldn’t take a class. If it helped him get ahead and save money on tuition… then so be it. Reuben shifted the textbooks in his arms, on his way back from campus to his apartment where he could put the books down, freshen up, and then go to his night “job”.
There were other people around, too, though not many – it was around dinnertime after all. He was walking behind a young, auburn-haired Reploid, and he turned his gaze to his books to make sure that he had all of them.
Of course, that was when the boy decided to turn around, and bumped right into him. Not only did one of his textbooks fall and land on the ground, but so did the boy.
…The boy was more important. So he knelt down, setting his other two books on the ground and checked the boy over. “You okay?”
