On April 11, 2014 I was admitted into the hospital Critical Care Unit after going into respiratory distress at home and flatlining in the ambulance. I was hooked up to machines, diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, Congestive Heart Failure, an Enlarged Heart, and had a death sentence hanging over my head. I was 49.5 years old with a teenager still to raise. Six years later I am still alive ( obviously), having lived longer than they thought I would, I no longer have CHF, my heart is healthy and the correct size, my 5 kids are all adults, I have 2 precious grandsons, I have a sweet mini home gym, I bodygroove daily, I have fulfilled a life long dream of living at the coast thanks to my husband's job transfer, and soon I hope to fulfill a dream I have had for 2 years. If that comes to pass I will let y'all know. The short version of my story is this: Six years ago I lay dying in a hospital bed and today I am living my best life ever!!
