Spencer Lloyd: Such a cool dude!
Two days before leaving for Alive Festival in Mineral City, Ohio, I found out that Spencer Lloyd, from season 13 of American Idol, was attending the same festival. I ran through my house with glee and a giant smile. I couldn't wait to meet the handsome guy from TV that was friends with John J. Fox! However, when I finally caught up with him before his performance on the Woods Stage, I realized that he was just like everyone else. As the week continued, Spencer's love for God radiated over the people around him, including myself. I stood next to Spencer is the pouring rain worshipping God while Kari Jobe sang. It was one of the coolest moments of my life. I was eager to take a selfie with him that night, but also knew that it would completely defeat the moment we were all sharing with God in worship, so I decided against it. I told my mom I was disappointed that I didn't get a photo with him, even though I just stood next to him for an hour, and she literally turned to me and said "You were standing next to Spencer Lloyd?" Mom, what other Spencer Lloyd did you think I was talking about?! The next evening came and I was upfront again waiting for FF5 to perform when I saw Spencer...again. I ran over to him and guess what? I got the selfie that I wanted so badly the night before. He was so sweet and I can't wait to see him again in the future.
