After posing that huge, huge group shot I was so sure I was done with Moonfire, especially since there was less than 5 hours before the boat disappeared for another year and would dump me out of gpose regardless. AND YET I decided I wanted to /gpose one more (really self indulgent) time anyways!!!
I've been turning around the fact that both Kizuna and X'vahl have Irish-coded roots and accents for a loooong time. Since music is also a passion for both of them, I wanted to do something incorporating the two! I didn't have a ton of time to plan this out(and originally it was only going to be Kizuna, but... I changed my mind after getting this idea lol) I basically took as many shots as I could think of and finished 30 minutes before the event ended, and trusted I could find a fitting song and figure out exactly what I wanted to do later. Almost 6 months later, here we are >>
I wanted an Irish love song, and more importantly I really wanted to find the right sound I was thinking of for Kizuna, that matched X'vahl as well. Between the general complications of being the WoL and what that might mean for your loved ones, and that this was after the wake of 7.3 MSQ announcing Erenvilles intent to leave heavy on my mind(also that the Moonfire Faire, which I had SO MUCH FUN and inspiration posing, was ending) that's kind of the vibes that I went with.
I'd like to think that X'vahl heard him singing this song Kizuna learned from his da, on the back of the boat late into the last night of the Faire and joined him. Kizuna's voice is probably higher than X'vahl's, and I think X'vahl would sing the lower harmony anyways. Apologies for all the rambling, I’ve had a lot of time to think about this one xD
