Another illustration of Mara Jade and Talon Karrde by Allen Nunis, pulled from the pages of her introduction in chapter 3 of “Heir to the Empire” by Timothy Zahn.

In this scene, Karrde has just proposed Mara take up the mantle of Second in Command of his organization when their business dinner is interrupted by the arrival of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s Chimaera.

When I asked illustrator Paul Daly about the art, he told me, “To be honest I don't remember this but it looks like I could have either inked this or penciled it. Allen and I were just doing boatloads of spot illos and I have to admit I have no idea…”
