・・・ [IN BETWEEN LIGHTS] Lia Saile: Day 6. Worst day. So many bad news, even stuff that was good and working suddenly fell apart. Custom info came in time and we even had an extra half day for ship loading tomorrow but the custom news were bad/negative so the ship will leave without the lantern. They say a piece from the ministry is missing and it can take many days to get it (if one gets it..). Also, the next ship would be soooo tight in schedule next week that we probably won’t be able to take that ship either; too late.then, one of the boxes we built is too high and we need another professional caroebter to build it - takes time and is extra costs again - and also the 2 poles that were first said to not need a box? They now need a box. So tomorrow morning I need to decide - based on very loose and contradicting information and new prices - if I can continue (and let my flight back expire) the project or we need to cancel it all, after 4 months of almost daily full time work for me and over 25 people involved in Germany and Tunisia. Thanks at this point for @collumina_lightartproject Interference festival director Aymen Gharbi and the members of @voicesofjasmine for helping wirh all their passion. The project is nerve wrecking and in 12 years I was only once his close to canceling, which was with Largest Common Divider in 2013-15 in Vienna, building life size frontier walls in concrete and steal to be placed in 3 locations in Vienna in public space. You have no idea! This is a smaller project in budget but much more complex in other ways so....today was a day that felt like quitting (yes, some tears). (hier: Tunis, Tunisia)
