Teaching Artist of the Week: Mary Ennes Davis!

  One example of Mary's workshops is a Mixed Media Collage, where students explore using recycled materials to create collage art. It involves drawing, painting, and collaging onto canvas panels. Students work together, and in doing so learn that they play an important role within their community! Mary likes to use the student’s ideas because they are amazing and it gets them to take ownership of the project. She believes everyone has art to contribute! Teaching Artist of the week! Textile Artist, LaVera Langeman!

LaVera Langeman teaches textile based craft projects, and believes the process of art should always be a positive, confidence-building experience! In her Felt Doll making workshop, kids will create an imaginative doll from felt material, each in their own unique style. After finishing, students also can write stories about their creations!
