"Want a glow stick for the fireworks later?" Essie asked, wiggling the red, white and blue stick in front of Allison's face with a laugh. She hadn't cracked it yet, but it was tempting to run around the carnival, glowing from head to toe, capturing that youthful feeling. And while she didn't need the gigantic handful of glow sticks she was holding on to, she hadn't been able to say no when the guy selling them offered her a good deal. "I accidentally bought way too many and I have no idea what to do with them all."

One thing that Ashleigh had made a goal of: eating at every restaurant in town. July was turning out to be a good month for that, with all of the deals and steals around town, not to mention the money that was going back into getting the Benefactor all riled up or... whatever it was that they were doing. Sometimes, Ash still got a little confused on that one, no matter how many times Kennedy explained to her who the Benefactor was, and what they were doing. She knew Benefactor bad, food good, and that was why she was plopping herself onto one of the bar stools at the Garden, the cool breeze from the open patio wafting by as she looked over the specials that they had.

"Are the burgers here good?" she asked, glancing up to the person next to her and then breaking into a grin when she recognized Allison. "Oh, hey stranger!"
