August was in the cemetery, not far from the mortuary - in sight at least as he was heading back from refreshing the flowers on some of the graves of people whose relatives were still living to pay for such a service. He could see Allison approaching from the distance and August called out to her, it was a niceish day, evidence enough that spring was allegedly here or around the corner or however that saying was supposed to go.
She clearly had things with her, and absently he wondered what the fae might have brought him. August hadn’t seen her since the Sarau and while she’d saved his skin, Allison had also done the witch a pretty decent solid. The book he’d whisked away from the High Court’s library was tucked neatly among his personal belongings, in with the few books that the witch held a bit closer than others.
“Allison!” August called out as he jogged to a stop, just short of the mortuary and a bit away from Allison, “What brings you out here?”
