a) So nearly 2 years since they spent a stupid autotunes car chase together where he clearly just annoyed her like a year since out of nowhere Peter dropped hints that he liked her before several months ago hinting at them going on a date together Peter and Bobbi finally kiss. I sure did enjoy all that great organic build up we had. Remember all those times that the two of them would sincerely connect, or spend time together show casing how they were good for one another, enjoyed each other’s company or did normal life shit that would clue people into the fact that they cared about one another at all?
It sure does put to shame those 20+ issues worth of build up to Peter and Mary Jane’s first kiss. Remember how virtually every issue dropped a scene or two indicating they were growing gradually closer and the effects they had on one another’s lives. And how they were dating for a few months before their first kiss in the airport which was the culmination of all that build up and was a beautiful and powerful moment? And remember how that was written...40 years ago...by a guy in his early-mid 20s.
Thank god we have this clearly superior romance writing courtesy of a man who’s close to his 50s writing in a day and age of obviously more complex, layered, realistic and all round more sophisticated comic book storytelling.
b) It is OOC as fuck for Bobbi to go for Peter, even putting aside her relationship with Hawkeye
c) It’s OOC as fuck for Peter to try hooking up with Bobbi or Rebecca after MJ
d) It is OOC as fuck for Peter to be attracted to someone like Bobbi at the very least because he gravitates towards non-costumed women
e) It is OOC as fuck for Peter to hook up with Rebecca London because FFS the entire reason he HAS a secret identity is to protect the people he cares about in his life. He’s basically engineering a Superman/Lois Lane situation right here except he isn’t bulletproof or faster than a speeding bullet and has no super hearing in order to respond to any danger Rebecca might be placed in via public association with him.
f) It’s OOC as fuck for Peter to go on a date with Rebecca London because holy shit Zdarsky in the Free Comic Book day story you established that MJ is RIGHT THERE! She is in his social circle. They are friendly again. The ONLY reasons they were not together after Superior was because she said she couldn’t handle life with a superhero and later because Peter figured that she’d get too stressed out over his safety. Putting aside how much bullshit that is based upon...literally their entire histories together actually, between her now being back in his life as his friend and working for Stark industries BOTH of those reasons have been blow outta the water so WTF is Peter doing hooking up with Rebecca?
g) Oh and btw it’s OOC as fuck for Peter to basically string Bobbi and Rebecca along by kissing one whilst going on a date with the other!!!!!! Holy shit Zdarsky/Slott/Allison Stock/Nick Lowe do your fucking jobs!!!!!!!!
