12) What does your URL mean?

My URL is in reference to a character of an unfinished science fiction novel of mine. Jactack was short for the protagonists main name. The character has since gone through some revamps and a name change, but I always like the handle so I kept it!

42) You are at the doctor’s office and she has just informed you that you have approximately one month to live. a) Do you tell anyone/everyone you are going to die? b) What do you do with your remaining days? c) Would you be afraid?

Most likely I would tell A about it, she would take off of work for a month and the two of us would travel Europe, elope, and do all the crazy things we’ve been talking about doing. I’d come back home, tell my family that I have a week to live, and spend the last days of my life cooking, watching my favorite movies with my family, and playing games with them. I’d be afraid at the very end I think, but only because it would mean the end of some beautiful things.

54) You accidentally eat some radioactive vegetables. They were good, and what's even cooler is that they endow you with the super-power of your choice! What is that power?

The power to accurately see the future. Most people who get this power only see glimpses or fragments. I want to think, “Who wins the lottery on this date in this state” and see it clearly. It would be great for political issues, seeing potential hot topics before they happen, observing market trends and plotting accordingly, so on and so forth.

We’re close, but he’s definitely closer to my younger sister. We get along and talk all the time, but I’ve always been pretty hard to talk to casually and he pretty much knows everything I do when it comes to conversation topics. We’re almost too much alike which can be an issue...10: What are you listening to?

Magician: List 3 of your talents.

I can do a wide range of impressions. My favorite is Stitch & Elmo, mostly because reciting lines from Silence of the Lambs in Elmo's cute voice is way to much fun.

I have pretty good recall on historical and scientific information. I can't tell you where I read it, but I can tell you pretty much anything you'd want to know if it happened pre-21st century.

I can read pretty much any style of writing. And by that I mean I can read upside down, mirrored, slanted, scrawled, pretty much any sort of method people use to try to mask their writing I can see through it pretty quickly.

Moon: Do you have any recurrent dreams?

I do. Or at least, a recurring theme. It always involves being somewhere in Raleigh, the setting can vary but it always involves an event or politics or a meeting in a busy location. Inevitably I will be nervous or worried about said event or meeting, which is always occurring in a place that is filled with people. But I'll be powering through it, when she shows up. Luna, my ex. She always is there in my dream. Sometimes we talk and catch up, other times I see her in the corner of my eye, or across a crowd. Most of the time she never notices me, whether by choice or because she simply doesn't see me... I don't know. But that's how the dream goes. Almost every night. Important meeting, nervous, then I see her. Inevitably, she's always there...

Anyways.

Allium: What's the best thing you can cook?

The best thing I can cook right now would have to be my bang bang shrimp. It's quick, easy, delicious, and still relatively healthy! Plus, I can mix it with pretty much anything and it comes out tasty!

Daffodil: What's the most thoughtful present you've ever received?

The most thoughtful present? That's a tough one... although there is one that stands out the most in my mind. Two years ago, it was my first Christmas with Luna. We were in my room at my parents house exchanging gifts. She gave me a beautiful scarf she had made me, a gift card to Barnes and Noble with 'To the most intelligent man in my life' on the inside, and a set of watercolor pencils and paper. It was the most touching present I have ever received to this day, added on by the fact that we shared our first 'I love you' just a few minutes after.

Hibiscus: Did you ever play an instrument? If so what?

I used to play the Guitar. It's been a love/hate story between me and that instrument to be honest. At least once a year I would attempt to practice and learn how to play it, make some decent progress, then slowly miss practices and lessons, eventually just dropping it and fading away. My therapist told me that it's a side effect of the depression, making me apathetic towards the practices. I feel miffed because I actually was pretty good at it when I tried. Might pick it up again sometime.

Locust: What was your favorite book as a child?

My favorite book? Ouch... that's a tough one. I want to immediately jump to say Harry Potter, because honestly it was. However, I feel like there is another book series that deserves some serious love and that is The Last Dragon Chronicles. It was a series of books that were just phenomenal and I loved each and every one. The characters were complex, the story was just amazing, and I loved the dragons in them. I highly recommend those books... I actually just donated my copies to the neighbors little boys for them to enjoy. I loved those books but I realized that they deserved to have a chance to find that same pleasure!
