ok this post was a pain in the ass to write since both of my cats went into heat for the first time and they keep running up and down in my room, knocking stuff down and the whole thing where they lick each others genitals so yes excuse any typos it is also 1 AM and I’ve been up since yesterday  The coronavirus thing. Is it blown out of proportion? Yes. But rightfully so. Right now, over 7k people are infected in Italy as of March 09. Less than 2 weeks ago there were fewer than 50. A lot of people are completely asymptomatic, showing absolutely no physical signs of illness whatsoever. Yet they can still infect hundreds, who in turn can also turn their homes into breeding grounds for the virus. So just another heads-up, if you have any symptoms and you know you’ve been close to people who have been confirmed or are suspected of suffering from the disease, see a healthcare professional ASAP. WASH. YOUR. HANDS!!!!!!!! If you have any other illness, WEAR A FACE MASK. OTHERWISE DON’T AS YOU’RE JUST WASTING RESOURCES. If you’re not sick, the face mask won’t do shit. You might as well wear a thong. Moving onto the social impact, I must say Jesus FUCKING Christ. I knew that some people are stuck up, BUT NOT THIS MUCH. I’ve seen post after post about people of Asian descent being kicked off public transport for absolutely no mother fucking reason. Sure, if they’ve been back in China lately, you can call authorities. But if it’s the friendly neighbor who just happens to be chinese but hasn’t been home in ages, then there’s literally a higher chance that you have a brain tumor than them carrying the virus. This pandemic is not an excuse for people to be xenophobic and racist. To all the people who actually take the time and read this, I hope you’re safe. And even if you didn’t read this, I also hope you’re safe. To all the asian people out there who are facing discrimination, insults and hateful speech, be strong. You’re worth so much more than this entire circus. Have a quiet, nice evening.
