I never used to understand the phrase 'when the shit hits the fan' I mean, why would shit even be up there/thrown there, and I didn't understand what would happen when it did hit there. Luckily I have never actually witnessed this, so to day, but I do now fully understand the phrase at least. Still, they could have picked something nicer, to describe something so bad...or something.
To me it's like, something happens, it starts of good, no issues, and then, it slowly but surely, snowballs. Okay...so, things ar getting a little tense, but there is time to fix it. You hope. Then something happens so quickly, almost unexpectedly, something you should have been prepared for, but weren't, and now life has taken that little shitty filled snowball, and is hurtling it full pelt at the fast revolving fan about your head and then BOOM!
In other news, on a hot day, a fan can be a great asset to have. The buffeting air and constant motion from the blades does offer a little reprive from the hot, still, muggy day. Just don't get too close. Don't put your fingers ( or hair ) near the blades.
I sat for about 20 minutes, with nothing, then thought sod it, and just started typing.
