Blog #77: Hamilton Tiger-Cats Beat the Montreal Alouettes in Final Pre-Season Match

Yesterday the Hamilton Tiger-Cats beat the Montreal Alouettes 57-20 in the final game of the 2011 pre-season. This game was the first time that the projected starters took the field as the Ticats played their rookies in the previous match. Given that it was a very foggy night, life was difficult of starting quarterback Kevin Glenn, who finished the night 13 of 25 passing for 118 yards. However, the fog was unable to stop the Ticats special teams. In the first quarter, Marcus Thigpen returned a kickoff for 100 yards and a touchdown to start the momentum early on. Special teams would strike again in the third quarter as Chris Williams returned a punt 91 yards to make the lead 30-17 for Hamilton. In addition to special teams, Quinton Porter, Marquay McDaniel, and Terry Grant also had Touchdowns for the Tiger-Cats.
