Lavenders, 1946
"Lavanderas" is an artwork of a national artist in painting; Cesar Legaspi. This artwork depicted the life of a woman, the lives of women. Cesar Torrente Legaspi was known for his artworks’ depictions’ which is depictions of anguish and dehumanization of beggars and laborers in the city. This artwork shows the misery of the women’s faces, they do not like that they are just doing the laundry, it’s written all over their faces. In this generation, gender equality is there already. Women can do what they want just like the men do with their lives having freedom. They can also have a stable job and of what jobs a man have, have their rights just like the rights of the men, education, and so much more. But the problem is, there will always be a person out there who will never acknowledge women, a sexist person who will always pull down the women from what they are or have now. Just like these three ladies in the art of Cesar Legaspi, they are forever chained of the sad story of what the women are in the society. This art piece of Cesar Legaspi's "Lavanderas" is very astounding, it just shows what women are in this society.
