He takes the earbud and presses it into his ear, pressing his head to hers. Very 2008 of you, Jamie. "What'd you say this was again?" He's always been adventurous with his music taste, willing to listen to just about anything that his friends put on in the gym or the car or at parties. He's never complained about music in his 25 years before, and he absolutely doesn't plan on starting now.

"Yeah, it's peaceful, innit?" Jamie asks, his hands folded between them. He's led them to the very top row of the stands of the Dogtrack, looking down at the quiet pitch. It won't be quiet in the morning, when Richmond hosts City for the first time since their treble win, but, for now, Jamie lets himself relax in the temporary peace and quiet of his second home. "I never had this, as a kid. The experience of watching a match from all the way up here, I mean. Especially not before I started playing. But... tomorrow... there'll prolly be a little lad in blue and red and yellow, sitting right 'round here, with the money he's saved up from doin' the dishes or... or however kids get money, I don't know, and he's going to have the time of his fucking life. And I'm gonna be way down there," he points a finger, "and I'm gonna be thinking about that little boy, and... maybe his dreams of bein' a Greyhound someday." He digs his toes into the ground in front of his chair. "I play for 'em. The little boys with dreams. They're what motivate me. And... fuck, Power, I wanna win for 'em. I really do."

Jamie had to force himself to keep a polite smile on his face. This shit kept happening to him. City - Tom Power. Fucking England, Tom Power. And now, he's face to face with another Power sharing a team with him, a building. And he has to be kind. Because it's fucking good to be kind. Because Jamie would've given just about anything for Tom Power to have been kind to him when he first got his call up for City's first team. "Penny Power," he greets, standing in front of the women's side's dressing room, not about to cross the threshold and go inside, not without knowing who was inside [ and how dressed they were - something about boundaries ]. "Jamie Tartt, welcome to Richmond. We're lucky to have you."

He immediately knows that she's serious, though, so he returns to his forward-facing position, legs crossed up against his chest. "You making me look all pretty, then, 10? I always look pretty, but. Prettier?" He fidgets with the seam on his trackies just to have something to do with his hands. "D'you mind handing me my bag? If I ain't allowed to move, I need my phone and a piece of gum."
