oh no
not a rebel
never a rebel
only a believer
of strangeness
and magic.

I don't want sanity.
I want adventure.
Little adventures.
under a willow tree
cross legged
and brimming
with silver threads
of untamed questions
sit. here. wild. creature.
in an alternate universe i could be running wild barefoot in the cobbled streets of far away and maybe just maybe dreaming of this life
it almost happened almost where i'd have been bundled up in scarves and buried in cotton snow.
so so close to answering all those questions and the wanderings of this restlessness that carries my toes
so so close i can taste the nip in the air there i can see the cheery cherry blossoms scattered and trailing the hem of my dress
of the rock structures cold pierced with stories where i may lean my head against the wall old and the memories that may permeate my skin
and may i then be there with you to absorb the magic of it all?
and may we kiss sweet and tender against that rock cold and take some of that beauty with us to wherever the winding road goes
like an anthem
i sing
of you
the evening before last
was all supermarket treasures
giddy with mirth
we floated about
in biscotti aisles
bashful glances
at each other
snuck from in between
pretty pickled cones
and noodles
champagne grey
protesting growls
by the stomach
what do we eat
after we devour
each other?
