My mind after 9pm…

3:23am: 32 on 2023

I had a dream I was in a city. From the surroundings, it looked like it could be midtown of a major city. There seemed to be a party of carnival going on. I see Amisha walking up towards me in a happy successful mood way like she just won something. We find a bench to sit on & start laughing/ cracking jokes like we did. The conversation was not perfectly heard or remembered but there was a change in the conversation about living downtown. She looks at the city. I turn my head away from her to see what she is starring at. When I turn my head back, it’s a different young woman w/ more fairer brown skin like she was mixed w/ two ethnicities. She has short dark hair w/ maybe a hint of color change in it. She has on a believe a black jacket w/ a flannel shirt. Her jeans were blue w/ wholes around the knees. One of her legs was on the bench, still facing the direction of the sky scrapers. I stair at her for a second to take in her presence. As I lock my attention on her, the thought about asking her to be my girlfriend or wife comes to my head. I didn’t say it to her but in my head I remember thinking, I could spent the rest of my life w/ you.

I pray that I can be that friend you need The friend that is always checking up on you, Planting words of wisdom in you like a seed Annually wishing you happy birthday & telling Merry Christmas Reminiscing on past loves & how we still wished it work even when it seems pointless The one that you turn to when things seem frustrating Or when weight of life gets too devastating I pray I can be there for you On your darkest of days And when your shine brightest of rays I pray that can be more than a friend to you I pray that I'm that trusting soul you who you talk about all your fears Share your life journeys And everything that brought you here When it matters most, I pray I can be there when you need me to put your arm around my shoulders Just know I'll always be there for you From here & the days we older Our lives will takes us to different destinations but I'm glad I was there for on some part of the ride.....
