The evidence seems to crash down like some intense weight all at once. These words, the ones that have come so easily before are now putting up such a struggle that I don't even notice that the rain has stopped completely. My eyes are fixated on my hands as I am perplexed by how meaningless these words could potentially be. I am so engrossed that I don't even hear the woman when she comes to tell me the worst is over. The dog is barking, but I can't pull my focus towards anything else. I stop for a moment and suddenly I can't breathe.

I am laughing uncontrollably. Because, life is funny.
