Slightly better pictures of the #wfCoquelicotSkirt by @wildflower__design i sewed up for myself. I found the sewing more or less straight forward. This is size 22-24, but a size smaller would have been plenty! Instructions are mostly clear. Sometimes i wished for a bit of a better visual cut through sections, it felt a bit crowded even though the written word was just enough. I think that’s why I accidentally skipped over the finishing of the side seams and had to go back to that later… not really an issue though. All in all a nice skirt. Next time I will lengthen the ties of the front waistband so I can wrap them back to the front if I want to. that’s going to be my outfit for the christening... next week... i couldn’t decide wether to wear a dress or a skirt or pants for the longest... as it will be end of september i decided to go with #peppermintwidelegpants which i made this summer and i quite like how they fit me. i chose rust colored (rather light-weight) corduroy. then an #allwellboxtop without sleeves to go on top out of some deep blue cupro — which was the most expensive fabric, but i know that is the pattern i’m least likely to screw up 😂 also made before already, so i know i will add a bit of length. lastly the #peppermintwraptop to go on top for in the church in that cute leave-patterned double gauze fabric. glad that i‘ll only have to print out one pattern, glueing the print at home versions together is my least favorite part right after ironing every step (even thought it is so worth it). alas have exactly 10 days to make those three pieces... go! #sewing #nähen https://www.instagram.com/p/B2j3q0bn8Xx/?igshid=11cjr8pzmmh6

Felt incredibly ill this morning so I couldn’t go to work, but I’m terrible at doing nothing so...

I made an All Well Box Top from an amazing hand embroidered linen table cloth I got at a car boot sale for £2!! Very pleased, it’s going to come on holiday with me at the end of August!

Also, my desk is always super chaotic but I like the middle photo because it has lots of yellow yarn, a half-finished Pica Pau cheetah (also v proud of this) and lots of lovely fruit that I’m snacking on as I work on a new Box Top in navy linen and more thrifted white linen table cloth!
