that’s going to be my outfit for the christening... next week... i couldn’t decide wether to wear a dress or a skirt or pants for the longest... as it will be end of september i decided to go with #peppermintwidelegpants which i made this summer and i quite like how they fit me. i chose rust colored (rather light-weight) corduroy. then an #allwellboxtop without sleeves to go on top out of some deep blue cupro — which was the most expensive fabric, but i know that is the pattern i’m least likely to screw up 😂 also made before already, so i know i will add a bit of length. lastly the #peppermintwraptop to go on top for in the church in that cute leave-patterned double gauze fabric. glad that i‘ll only have to print out one pattern, glueing the print at home versions together is my least favorite part right after ironing every step (even thought it is so worth it). alas have exactly 10 days to make those three pieces... go! #sewing #nähen https://www.instagram.com/p/B2j3q0bn8Xx/?igshid=11cjr8pzmmh6
#peppermintwidelegpants are da bomb. totally wearable muslin made out of some kinda shiny blue cotton curtains from #ikea (is this an #ikeahack ??) i used a size smaller at the waist then the hips, but next time (and i’ll definitely do a pair in a different fabric) i’d totally go two sizes smaller at the waist... to make this pair fit better at the waist i just took in more fabric at the two darts in the back. installing the fly was actually easier then i anticipated... and as always i just had to redo part of the waistband because i’m an idiot and waistbands are just not my forte 😂😂😂 anyways instructions are top for this and now i’m probably never buying pants again! also i now own more self made pants then bought ones (3 vs 1) #sewing https://www.instagram.com/p/BxPRBREli5f/?igshid=1o34syh98ekno
i‘m sick of buying pants. they never fit quite right and it‘s just a very sad experience being in the store. also i have to say the last few pairs of jeans i bought never lasted quite long, the quality of the fabric just not made for ma thicc thighs. and yeah i often mend them, but it gets old when you barely wore them a handful of times. sad statement of the fast fashion industry. #sewing #peppermintwidelegpants https://www.instagram.com/p/BxMpd_-l1vN/?igshid=a7i4gnuthz6l
