Evaluation

What I think went well in my project is that my first time drawing pixel when pretty well. I was able to make some sort of a game that does work and play. I thought unreal coding was a bit less confusing than I imagined it to be. I thought I did quite well at pixel art for my first time round. And that I understood most of the coding without real struggle.

I could have done more work on the aminations and spent more time trying to develop my skills. I could have added more mechanics to the game which I was playing but ran out of time. And definitely added some sounds to the game which I didn't even begin to start and try.

Next time I want to improve my drawing skills and level design and definitely start to do sound design and improve animation. I want to start doing more mechanics. But overall I think the project went well for my first game my pixel art was pretty okay and the game does work and there is something to play and I'm ready for the next project which I think ill do better in.

First I made a start screen widget added a purple image then a button over it. I added a start text box on top of the button. Then i coded the button and added the widget to view port.

First you make a new level.

Then you open level blueprint

Then in the level blueprint I added my start widget to the display port. Which then opens the actual game level. I've done it this way because I feel like the player having to press play every time they die would be very frustrating and no enjoyable to play.
