I read a book for fun for the first time in years. Years.

Truthfully, I haven’t had the “energy” to read since highschool. College was draining—emotionally and physically. Every book I’ve read in the last 4 years was for an assignment, or for a class. Textbook stuff...not fun.

And now, after entering the workforce for my first year, I’ve realized work equally draining (or more) and I don’t know how to make time for myself.

I’ve forgotten how much I loved reading. Fiction, fantasy—anything that takes me away into a whole other world. I’ve also forgotten how easily absorbed I get....like, badly, lol. I’ve forgotten how amazing these fictional worlds are. My life feels so mundane in comparison to some of these fictional characters’; but I guess that’s why we read, right?
