Ally Wilson flew from Japan to Seattle to watch her partner Amy Atwell play for the Mercury
Ally just helped Australia qualify to play women's 3x3 at the Paris Olympics
So one of the really cool things about the WNBL is that the scheduling and location of most games means that players can often go to games that they aren’t playing in
So Alex Wilson played her own game in Bendigo on Saturday, and went to see her gf Brooke Basham and Adelaide play Melbourne the next day (it’s a 2 hour drive between Melbourne and Bendigo)
Anneli was also at the same Melbourne vs Adelaide game (Marena plays for Adelaide)
And went to see Adelaide vs Sydney when Bendigo had a bye because of a rescheduled game
Anneli’s also been at both Adelaide games at SBC, against Southside and then Melbourne (don’t have proof of the second without using photos with fans, sorry)
Just something cool about the WNBL that doesn’t happen as much with the WNBA (as far as I can tell)
