This is Almalkit (alternate name for Malachite), another corrupted gemsona of mine. She takes on the form of a weird-ass quadrupedal raptor-like bird.
Before her corruption, Almalkit was a member of the Crystal Gems. She loved birds very much, and would regularly shapeshift a set of wings to fly through the sky with them. It was that love of birds that greatly influenced her form when she was corrupted at the end of the war.
As a corrupted Gem, Almalkit is generally pretty calm, but that calmness is unstable. She likes to take charge and be a leader, but when she isn’t allowed to do that she becomes agitated and has been known to strike at other monsters over it.
Almalkit does somewhat resemble another corrupted gemsona of mine who I have yet to introduce (and has markings and colors similar to yet another gem that I have introduced who isn’t a bird), but they are not related at all. Almalkit ties directly into Gomedha’s story, being part of the reason Gomedha left the mountains 4000 years ago.
