Todoroki feels numb. Midoriya should have known better, should have been paying more attention to his surroundings, and not solely focused on one person. Todoroki doesn’t care that the woman is safe. Why wasn’t Midoriya paying attention? Why did he have to put himself into unnecessarily dangerous situations in order to show he’s not afraid of death, not afraid of what could happen to him? Does he not think about his mother, who could be watching the same thing and frantically trying to get into contact with the agency to find out if her son is alive? Does he not care that Todoroki is on the verge of a panic attack, thinking the worst and wondering what he’s going to do if Midoriya doesn’t come walking through the front door in three days when his internship is over?
