the biggest downgrade from season one to two is leaving the salt that comes from Alec and not having him stand up for himself more. Alec in season one talks about how everyone is lying to him and how he sees things clearly. that shouldn’t have disappeared in season two. that’s just three business days from 1x13-02x01. Alec looking at Jace and seeing the real Jace should not have been abandoned. Alec deserved to stand up for himself more and not be treated like some lap dog.
