this might be an unpopular opinion in nd/bpd tumblr but i really do think people should spend less time writing long pieces and guides on How To Date Someone With BPD and more time encouraging people with bpd to talk to their partners about their specific feelings and needs and things they are or are not comfortable with. because we still are, after all, people too and every person is different. every person wants different things, needs different things, feels different things. (this means every person with bpd will experience bpd differently too.) something like a guide to deal with us shouldn't be normalized. this isn't to say that people who don't have bpd and are dating people who do have shouldn't learn about bpd, ever. but we're not machines. we shouldn't come with manuals.
