so here’s a hot take I kinda hate the way Jon Snow learns about his real parentage and by kinda I mean yeah
here’s my thing: Jon finally knows his mother’s identity, and it should have been his moment, but instead any emotional satisfaction from learning what he’s spent his entire lifetime wanting to know is immediately overshadowed by Iron Throne bullshit — like seriously he hardly gets a second to soak in the fact that his entire childhood was a lie before it’s like: “SO yeah buddy you’re king, fuck Daenerys, and unless she’s willing to give up her crown 0.34 seconds after hearing this news, she’s a tyrannical lunatic”
so Jon’s forced to question his entire identity—particularly as a bastard which defined his entire existence growing up—while also having to deal with the fact that his girlfriend is his aunt and she unknowingly ordered the death of his best friend’s family + he’s heir to a crown he’s never wanted or cared about
and you just know that Bran orchestrated that shitty timing too because fuck if I know what’s going on in Bran’s head
