If it was personal, Daenerys would have went straight after Cersei.

If she was always evil, she wouldn't have tried to end slavery or made sure the Dothraki and Ironborn stopped their violent ways.

If she was always Mad, she would have burned everyone to the ground at the slightest amount of opposition, disregarding all innocents every single time.

If too much power corrupts, she would have been corrupted once the slaves worshipped her... when the dragons were grown... when she was Queen of Meereen... when she became the Khaleesi of Khals... when she had the power to go after Cersei whenever she wanted... when Jon Snow gave her the North...

If she went off the deep end because we cheered her on for doing bad things to bad people and for answering injustice with justice, Jon, Arya, Sansa, Cersei, Tyrion, Jaime, and Brienne should have gone crazy too.

Daenerys Targaryen deserved better.

now that the dust has settled I can finally say with full confidence that, despite everything
