this kid. ❤️ third of the lot and constantly pushing me into growing myself as a parent. she’s the best and worst of me, and I’m so grateful we have her. this week, dropoffs at daycare have been hard. she’s been crying and refusing to go. her educators were struggling with COVID and staff shortage, and the kids feel stressed too. they are doing their best, and we have to do our part as well. trusting that the kids will be OK and resilient. when she refuses to get out of the car, i used to be so frustrated. but now, I make the decision for her, that going to daycare is non-negotiable. and me staying calm through her angry tears and holding her tight to lend her my calm instead of getting frustrated has worked repeatedly and with great success.
