okay, so that fight ask reminded me of this popular scenario ask: how would the ros react [doubly for the polyams ;-P] if mc during an argument lashed out and said 'i wish i had never met you/i regret meeting you'. [i THINK that's how the ask when, someone please correct me if i am wrong!]

Jade/Jean- beneath the shock, J’s confident foundation is strong enough to shoulder the weight of your words—strong enough that their outward reaction is tightly kept under wraps—and J calmly stares at you. They’re not exactly calm, their eyes are intense, and so is their voice, “Maybe you’re right,” J’s voice is the very definition of cold.

Uma- sensitive and emotional, Uma doesn’t need to say or do anything for you to see that they’ve taken the comment to heart—and then their eyes fill with tears. Uma’s eyes are downcast, they fiddle with their hands. With a little chuckle, they say, “That’s a little harsh.” They roll their lips, “I think— I’m going to give you some space. We can— We can talk tomorrow.”

Statler- frowns, swallows a lump in their throat—Statler can’t seem to meet your eye—and they quietly stammer, “I’m sorry.” You can tell that’s not all there is, that there are dozens of things they want to say (“Why? But— You don’t mean it. Tell me you don’t mean it”) but Statler manages to stay quiet. They put on their jacket, bid you a mumble that you think is a goodbye, and leave.

Wanda- “What? You’re— You’re really gonna say that? Seriously?” Wanda lashes out angrily. She clenches and relaxes her fists—does so a couple of times, she also rubs her eyes furiously—and then Wanda storms off. You don’t know how much time passes before she returns, red-eyed and chewing on her lower lip. Wanda’s upset, but willing to talk and stick by your side.

Kai- with a little shrug, Kai pats their pockets—groans when they find no pack of cigarettes—finally turns to you and says, “Well if that’s how you feel,” sarcasm laces their tone “I’m not really gonna do anything to change it.” Kai scoffs at themself, hovers awkwardly—the more they remain in your presence, the more emotions manage to leak, which Kai seems to realize—and then they leave, slamming the door on the way out.

Travis- [spoiler] but it gets really ugly.

Alofray- “Well,” Kai snorts—the way they nudge J feels almost mean, “That’s straightforward, huh?” J shoves them back, glaring at them, at you, mutters, “This is a fucking waste of time,” and you can tell J wants to storm away. Before they can, Kai says, “Wow, so [Name] isn’t the only one regretting shit, huh?” And J doesn’t deny it.

Camarat- more worried about Uma’s pain than his own, Travis lifts a wall so high you almost feel the physical force behind it. The defensiveness behind it is clear, it becomes clearer when Travis steps between you and Uma—their eyes filled with tears—when he says, “How about you fuck off?” his head motioning toward the nearest exit.

Back to Kai's nude photographs... What would it take for them to convince J of modeling? Be it nude or clothed👀

“Are you fucking kidding, Jean/Jade Gray?”

J rolls their eyes, “I’m just telling you to wash the fucking dishes for once, Kai,” perhaps there’s a little smirk on their lips as they say so—perhaps—they add, “Or do you have... so little interest in— in my body— in your craft?”

Almost offended, Kai purses their lips, crosses their arms, “Don’t joke around. Of course I want you.”

“I don’t feel exactly wanted. Especially when you’re not willing to compromise,” J pouts, almost mockingly, “Just the dishes, dear.”

A groan, followed by a complaint, “I know it’s not gonna be just the dishes. You’re playing so dirty.”

I absolutely love the clown drabble that you did for Stadler and my heart melts for them ❤❤❤ I'm sorry if I sound demanding on that ask, I was gonna ask nicely but my excitement (and clumsy hands) got the better of me and I apologized again.

So for this ask, imagine on a road trip, a purely wholesome vibe. I wonder how would the RO + polyam react when they caught MC sneakingly taking picture of them (MC wanted to save the picture as their phone background).

AND if they decided to confront MC, how would the ROs + polyam console the devastated MC who accidentally deleted the picture out of embarrassment after being caught red-handed...

MC takes a picture

Jade/Jean- there's a bemused smile tugging at the corner of their lips. They tease, “Were you doing something?” J leans in to peek at your picture, telling you, “That’s nice and all, but— warn me next time.”

Uma- the urge to pretend nothing happened presents itself but, as it turns out, Uma can’t hold back the little chuckle of amusement. “Do you want a picture of me? You know you can ask.”

Statler- “You’re so cute,” Statler all but coos. Their arm encircles your waist, and they kiss your cheek. When Statler pulls back, they smile brightly, “I want one too— Of us. Do you want to?”

Wanda- As if a flick has been switched, Wanda strikes a pose—dramatically—she grins brightly. It’s an attempt to make you laugh—Wanda winks at you, “Can we get matching ones? I want Gabi and your pretty face as my lock screen!”

Kai- a mischievous grin spreads across their face. “Did you get my good side? Can I see it? I promise I won’t be too critical,” Kai laughs.

Travis- raises an eyebrow, Travis doesn't say anything as you take the picture. When he finally does, he grumbles a resigned, “If you share that with anyone...”

Alofray- “Hey [Name],” Kai grins, wicked, “Does J’s massive ego fit in the frame?” To which J has barely any outward reaction other than rolling their eyes and asking, “What about Kai’s massive head?” “I don’t have a massive head, dickhead.” “Of course not, dear.”

Camarat- Travis notices before Uma does, and he shifts slightly in their direction. When Uma does notice, they smile, tease you about your sneakiness—all while Travis gives you a glare, ‘Don’t you dare tell them I helped.’

MC deletes the picture accidentally

Jade/Jean- “Ah. Why’d you delete it? Did you change your mind?” J tilts their head. They give a little shrug— J has never been a huge fan of pictures. “You can take another one later if you feel like it.”

Uma- gives you a warm and understanding smile, “Hey, now. Don’t worry about pictures. The moment is what matters. And I’m having fun, are you having fun?”

Statler- “Ah. Sorry,” they cringe a bit awkwardly, shouldering the blame like it’s their second nature. “Does— I’d still want one of us, if that’s alright?”

Wanda- takes out her phone, grins, “My turn, darling,” Wanda takes a picture of you, she looks at it fondly, “You make a good model.”

Kai- good-naturedly, Kai chuckles, “Hey shutterbug, no need to get nervous. I think— This is way better lighting either way.”

Travis- “Why do I feel bad celebrating...?” he mumbles. Travis motions for you to take another— then, another vague gesture: just get on with it before he changes his mind.

Alofray- J sighs, “Look what you’ve done.” To which Kai gasps, offended, “How is this my fault!?” You don’t know how or why—well you are the why, aren’t you—but neither Kai nor J take the bait. They don’t bicker as always, they turn to help you instead.

Camarat- “Give it here,” Travis says quietly. He takes your phone from you, positions you and Uma on either side, and takes a selfie with the most deadpan face you’ve seen on him—amused, Uma smiles brightly beside him.

They're a bit more argumentative but it's all in good fun. Mostly Kai being an ass and J being too perfectionist. The two do become good friends (lol or frenemies) with time, mostly because they have the same MC-above-everything (simps) philosophy.

J and Kai will bicker over MC's affection every two seconds! A very “pay attention to me and not them” kind of arguments.

They're not as protective of each other, and they're definitely not affectionate, ofc, but they can become pretty good pals^^ It will take them some time tho.

Came out a little longer than usual🏃‍♀️

J doesn’t bother ringing anymore, they make their way inside Kai and your apartment with the keys you two have given them, and they step inside—already sighing, a little frustrated, as if expecting your living room to be set on fire before J has the chance to fix it, everything—but the only thing they see is the usual disaster that makes their skin crawl. The scent of burnt dinner lingers in the air, the sink is piled high with unwashed dishes, and then there’s you and Kai, sitting on opposite ends of the couch—looking frustrated and exhausted.

“Who am I blaming tonight?” J grumbles, eyes unconsciously shifting in Kai’s direction.

Kai, who glares at their phone with a displeased frown, finally tears their gaze away, raises an eyebrow, sighing dramatically, “Give a dog a bad name and hang them.”

“You’re not exactly the face of innocence, Kai.”

“Oh, c’mon,” they shrug, “You love my face.”

J rolls their eyes, turns to look at you with a quizzical glare.

Giving them a half-hearted smile, you admit, “I’ll take the blame for dinner.”

J clicks their tongue in mock disapproval, “I want to strangle you two.”

“Hey! We just got back from our jobs,” Kai complains indignantly, “You should pamper us and spoil us rotten!”

“That’s the plan. Idiot,” J shrugs off their coat—neatly abandons it over the back of a chair—grumbling to themself as they stride toward the table, setting down a bag they’ve brought with them.

“Don’t lecture us! I will cry!”

You roll your eyes playfully, elbowing Kai—who J promptly ignores. They stride toward the kitchen, rolling up their sleeves.

As J delves into the task of rescuing the charred dinner and clearing the chaos of the kitchen, they keep up a running commentary of complaints and mock insults—all of them aimed towards Kai, you think. It’s a familiar routine, and you and Kai exchange knowing glances.

Kai leans in closer to you, whispering, “They’re in one of those moods, aren’t they?”

You nod, a smile tugging at your lips, “They’re just putting on a show."

J overhears, sighs, returns to the living room with their arms crossed, cocking their head in the direction of their bag.

“Have you eaten yet?” they ask.

You shake your head.

"Good," J says, nodding decisively, “I cooked something. And you’re going to eat it.”

They’re specifically speaking to Kai. The photographer nods, looking a little spaced out before they snap out of it—swallowing a playful jibe that drowns in poorly concealed gratitude.

“Thanks, Jay,” you grin, receive your Tupperware and open it to find your favorite food. Kai follows your motions, grimacing a bit as their eyes settle on a couple of slices of red pepper.

Noticing their expression, J narrows their eyes. Kai scoffs, “Stop bitching! I’m eating it, I’m eating.”

J has always had a knack for memorizing your favorite things, the little details that matter—when spoken words get tangled in their throat, this is what J always does. J doesn’t just remember; they act on it. It's their way of taking care of you, especially when you’ve had a tough day. You remember the countless times J has surprised you and Kai with your favorite meals or treats after a bad day at work, or when you were simply feeling down.

Today, they’re doing it again. The room is filled with the tantalizing aroma of your favorite dishes. J gestures for both you and Kai to sit at the table.

As you dig into the delicious food, the tension from earlier dissipates. J's grumbling and mock anger die—as is often the case.

Later, after the plates are cleared and you’ve settled on the couch with J and Kai, you catch J staring at the two of you with a thoughtful expression.

“What’s on your mind?” you ask, genuinely curious, “I thought you and Kai were done arguing for the day.”

Kai snorts playfully.

Smirking, J finally looks away, “Just thinking—” they roll their lips, finally adding, “I’m not telling you.”

As you draw closer, J’s eyes meet yours, and they give you a small, knowing grin, careful not to disturb Kai’s slumber. You gesture toward your sleeping partner, whispering, “Now, this is surprising.”

“Not as much as you think,” J rolls their eyes, “This idiot just laid on me and told me not to move. I’ve been their mattress for… twenty minutes.”

“You love it. You didn’t move~” you tease them.

“Kai gets so pissy when we wake them up. Ugh,” J shudders, but despite their claim, they don’t bother whispering like you.

Your eyes flicker toward Kai, who is sound asleep. You chuckle, “They’re out like a light, huh?”

J’s eyes crinkle at the corners, amusement dancing in their gaze, “Who would have thought? Even after six energy drinks.”

You move closer to get a better look at Kai’s serene expression, their soft breaths creating a soothing rhythm. A warm feeling washes over you, and you can’t resist grinning at J.

“God, you two are just the cutest.”

J grimaces, but they do little to fight your words. Perhaps a little confused, they ask, “Why?”

“Kai sleeping is cute. You taking care of them.. being all protective like that— it’s very cute, Jay.”

J chuckles softly, their hand absently running through Kai’s hair, “Protective? Who, me?”

You nod, your smile widening, “Absolutely. You’ve got that whole guardian thing down to an art.”

They smirk playfully, “Well,” they shift themself and Kai slightly to make room for you on the couch “if you say so.”

You settle down next to them, your hand finding its place on Kai’s back. The room is filled with a quiet, comfortable ambiance as the three of you share this intimate moment. J’s teasing demeanor gives way to something softer, and they reach out to squeeze your hand gently.

Kai stirs, blinking sleep from their eyes as they slowly wake from their cozy slumber. They groan and rub their eyes, but it doesn’t take long for them to notice the tender atmosphere.

“Ugh, what's with the sappy looks?” Kai grumbles with a hint of embarrassment in their voice, sitting up and disentangling themselves from J.

J chuckles, their usual composed facade returning, “You were being cute. Now that you’re awake it’s over, though.”

You—elbow J—chime in, unable to resist poking fun at Kai, “Yeah, you were really giving us all the feels.”
