More Alokrie! Because I need it to breathe. Originally this was just supposed to be some cute happy kissus between the girls, but then halfway through I gave Ikrie some tears because apparently, I needed the angst?   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Why she crying? No idea, but we’ll blame Mailen anyway. That quest continues to break my heart.

soft/fluffy/"touch" aloy/ikrie headcanons

soooo i wanted to try a softer/fluffier hc list (hint: i still failed lmao), so here's some cute alokrie shit that @horizondawned and i kinda tossed back and forth?? enjoy!!!!!

• Aloy starts out very touch-aversed, which is practically the opposite case with Ikrie. After Rosts death, Aloy hand know one that she'd let close enough to touch her no matter how platonically

• Ikrie had always been close to Mailen, very touchy-feely and as their relationship grew strained Mailen wasn't as affectionate anymore. Bc of that Ikrie became incredibly touch-starved

• The first time she claps Aloy on the shoulder affectionately, she flinches away from the gesture. Ikrie feels terrible, and worse about her own need to be close to another

• It takes nearly two weeks before Aloy returns the gesture, after a particularly successful hunt, and Ikrie tears up a bit. From then on the two of them start up this shaky relationship that isn't exactly romantic as much as it is a sort of self-therapy between them

• It starts small, a touch to the arm or hand as a silent gesture of approval or gratitude. Aloy's reactions become less visceral, Ikrie starts to feel less alone

• also ikrie's smile is angelic and whether Aloy wants to admit it or not, she starts to live for bringing that ear-to-ear grin onto ikrie's face, the more unexpected it is the better

• As they get closer and more comfortable w/ each other, Aloy starts letting ikrie braid/re-braid her hair. It's a huge show of trust on aloy's part, as well as something that can help Ikrie calm down if she's overwhelmed. it's a sort of intimate thing between them, and that's when they do their best communicating pre-relationship

• And when they get to the point that they're okay w/ sharing beds/wraps while they're put huntin or whatevr, especially after they're a couple, they always press their foreheads together while cuddling

• When it's just the two of them, they can get very playfully affectionate. Aloy never had any1 to be like that w/ growing up and ikrie lost the one person that she DID have, so the two of them really enjoy getting to be like that when they're alone together

• And again, when it's the two of them alone together, aloy has a tendency to wrap her arms around Ikrie's waist (esp when she's going in for a kiss). it's sort of an unconscious desire to keep her loved one close bc she doesn't want to lose her, ya dig?

• ikrie is secretly a huuuge softie when it comes to being praised or anything in that nature. especially in their relationship, she feels as tho she's the lesser half sometimes and it makes her so happy when Aloy compliments her skill w/ a sling and stuff

Headcanon because I saw heavy rain in Meridian for the first time last night: Ikrie's totally entranced by Sundom downpours because the rain's so warm unlike in the Cut and Ban-Ur, where that will just freeze you solid in your furs. So when she sees it bucket down in the City of the Sun she just wants to run around everywhere with Aloy and the Carja are just stood around under arches like "What are these mad outlanders about?" as they bound and dance through the streets, until they're just too excited and Aloy carries Ikrie into their house and brb writing a fanfic...
