I'm so sorry for the delay! I meant to answer this two days ago, thank you so much for asking!! I love DA are you KIDDING ME IT'S PROBABLY ONE OF MY MOST CHERISHED SERIES'

I love hearing about other peoples' Wardens + Hawkes as well and I'd love to hear about yours some time!

I have multiple Wardens and Hawkes, some of which are self indulgent and others which I take directly from canon context and build alongside that context. Those ones are my favorites because they feel as if they fit in place!

I love f!Tabris, the rough and tough gal who's wary of shems yet has an altruistic soft spot at her core. But the Warden I'm loading from is Surana!

Dahlia Surana, due to being sheltered in the Circle from a young age (her memories of the alienage are awfully vague), is fairly ignorant and is filled to the brim with bravado. She has a pretty aggressive disdain for the templars and has a generally mischievous and obnoxious demeanor. What a fratboy. Has cartwheeled into Lake Calenhad in an attempt to escape multiple times.

Despite her ignorance, aggression and pride, she is surprisingly in tune with the emotions of others and is sympathetic to a fault. She puts up a front of being thrilled by the risks and ~adventure~ of being a Grey Warden, but in reality, she's desperately scared and feels more despaired than ever because entering the outside world has made her realize how alone she is. She has no one, no family, no friends, she's not quite sure if she even has herself at this point. As much as she may have despised the Circle, there was some sort of sense of community there to help mask any sort of lonesome feelings she may have had.

She's a child, really. She attempts to play the hero but is vilified in the process, mainly due to her status as an elf. She is forced into the role of the hero and fears for her own life. She reacts to it all sorely and represses it, Zevran being one of the only people she ever discusses her emotions with.

Basically, the events of DA:O are a journey for her, to help quell her ignorance and understand the world for what it is, and come to love herself as an individual. Not for her talent, but for her spirit and whole being. But she needed liberation before she could ever achieve that.

I have a few Hawkes as well but Hawke is one I REALLY built off canon context! Garrett Hawke, default appearance, aggressive personality based off the Hawke in the trailer! I came to like him more than you can imagine because he isn't the generic ~aggressive action hero~, contrary to what his dialogue options may be called.

The aggressive dialogue choices are some of the most passionate options you will hear in DA2. There is a sharp edge of justice to them, a desire for penance for the sake of the greater good. Garrett Hawke is not a man without sympathy—empathy, maybe, but not sympathy. It's the very opposite.

He fights for the greater good and underprivileged and only the greater good and underprivileged. He's also a mage, since well once again, taking from canon context, and evidently pro-mage and anti-templar as all hell. He's incredibly socially inept, unable to simply talk to others casually, he simply doesn't see the use in it.

However, he has a soft spot for Bethany. There is no one he loves more on this Earth than Bethany. After her death, he takes the blame upon himself and is secretly extremely sorrowful about it all. After he loses Carver, who he had an awful relationship with and was unnecessarily harsh on, and then Leandra, his sense of guilt reaches an extreme.

Truth is, there is nothing Garrett Hawke loves more than his family.
