*in response to the last anon* I actually believe it depends on whos following you. For me I do a lot of late night blogging, so (most) of my followers are night owls. If I were to post a picture at noon it might get a few notes, but I'd get far more after midnight. In any case, just make sure you tag your stuff so people who aren't following you might see it and pay attention to your followers.
