Inspired by mullermilkshake’s yandere!Jinwoo series, which is excellent. Y’all should go read it. I have an unhealthy attachment to Reed, so this is more self-indulgent as most of my fics are. Hope you all still enjoy it though. I don't condone yandere behavior IRL.
You can also enjoy it on Ao3 if you prefer reading it there over Tumblr.
Check back weekly for updates! I try to update at least once a week. Often, it's two times a week.

———————————————————————————————————
“Make me a mother,” you demanded as the two of you were settling down for the night. You stared up at him determinedly. You weren’t going to waste any more time. Your omega finally demanded to have a child, and you concurred. You have been in America for a few years already. You felt you had spent enough time with it being just the two of you (even if the betas did take up a decent amount of time, too). You wanted a pup, and you were going to make sure you'd get one, as your mate had promised you. “I stopped taking my birth control like I said I was going to. So give me a pup.”
Christopher paused as he had been moving to make the two of you comfortable. You two had been getting ready for bed when you spoke up. His brows were furrowed as he turned and stared at you. He took in how determined you looked. “Are you sure?” Christopher asked, wanting to make sure you knew what you were asking for. While the two of you had been talking about having a child recently, this was the first time that you mentioned being off your birth control.
You nodded. You wanted a pup. You were almost thirty, which was a good age to have a child. “I’m sure. And we’ve been talking about it recently, so I’m ready. You’re okay with it, too, right?”
“It would be nice to have our own little family,” Christopher said. He liked his pack well enough, but he had been wanting to establish a familial pack with both of you and a pup. A smile slowly spread on his lips at the thought. You’d be even more tied to him with a child.
You lit up at the look on his face. “So, pup?” you asked hopefully.
“Pup,” he answered, already taking off his clothes with you eagerly following suit.
Christopher had his face buried between your legs, tongue lapping at your dripping pussy. You had your hand latched onto his hair, tugging at it. He moved to suck at your clit while he thrust his fingers into your pussy, fingers curling slightly, making you give out a loud cry. You squirted, much to Christopher’s pleasure, as he drank your slick like it was ambrosia.
Christopher moved the two of you until he had you pinned to the bed in your mating nest as he thrust his cock as deep into you as possible in a mating press. He moaned as he felt your pussy fluttering around his cock. He nearly laughed at how many orgasms he knew he could get out of you tonight. Christopher knew how eager you were to have a child, and your body was showing it as an omega’s biology would change slightly to accompany the omega’s desire for a child. The more pleasure an omega goes through while mating, the more sex they’d have, which helps in conceiving a child. Christopher aimed at the spot he knew you went dumb over. Christopher knew your body—he spent years learning what you liked and what you didn’t like. He cataloged your pleasure. His train of thought was interrupted by the sight of you falling apart on his cock. He and his alpha were smug. He was going to keep making you come until you couldn’t handle it anymore. That was a promise, even if he had to keep going through multiple orgasms himself. He needed you to feel good—to remember his cock so deep in you and his thrusts reaching places that made you see stars. He was going to give you the child you (and he) have been wanting. “I’m going to make you nice and round with our pup,” he growled.
After a few more thrusts, his cock, having brushed against the spot that made you see stars, you came with a loud shriek, tearing its way out of your throat. “Alpha!” You were starting to get exhausted, but Christopher wasn’t stopping. You gasped, then moaned as Christopher kept hitting your G-spot. You thrust back against him, eyes rolling to the back of your head in pleasure as you were still riding high from your previous orgasm that meshed with Christopher’s pleasure. “Just like that. Oh fuck!” you came again with a scream, writhing under him, overstimulated from having multiple orgasms so close to each other. You could barely move as Christopher wouldn’t let you out from under him, as his cock kept slamming into your wet pussy.
“Take it!” Christopher snarled, hips snapping against yours before he thrust as far into you as he could as he came. His cum flooded into you as his knot tied you together. He fell on you, barely holding himself up, so he wasn’t crushing you. The two of you panted, sweating.
Your hands were clawing at Christopher’s shoulders. You and your omega in you whimpered as the pleasure was still coursing through you.
Christopher nudged you. “You okay?” He was worried he was too rough. He rumbled, trying to help you calm down. He nuzzled you.
You made a noise of acknowledgement, body relaxing at his rumbling. You then purred for a moment before you said, “Yeah, just a bit, y'know, overstimulated.” It took a few minutes for you to get your bearings. Yet, you shuddered as another aftershock of pleasure shot through you. You didn’t know how long the two of you had already been having sex for. All you knew was that both of you had come multiple times—you more so than he—and you were tired but satisfied. But as you stared up at him, you knew you were in for an even longer night after asking him to breed you. His cock was still hard even with his knot going down. You smiled at him, nails clawing into his broad shoulders, leaving crescent marks. You knew that would get him going.
Christopher leaned down to chuckle darkly next to your ear and said, “Don’t worry, we’ll have a pup, mama. I’ll give you what you want.” He felt you involuntarily clench down onto his cock at his words, and he gave a choked moan. He moved on to kissing you. But as soon as his knot untied, he was back to thrusting into you. He was going to fill you with so much cum, your body would have no choice but to become pregnant. He promised you a pup, after all.

MDNI —--- MINORS DO NOT INTERACT —-- MDNI
You both finished bathing together. For a while, you had sat in the tub in Christopher’s lap, leaning back against his chest, just relaxing. He washed you and himself taking care not to get too intimate with you. The two of you dried off, put on clothes, him in only sweatpants and underwear and you in one of his t-shirts and your underwear, and left the bathroom and entered your room.
The walls were white with a ceiling fan that you could turn on the light to. You had a dark gray dresser for your house clothes and underclothes along with a vanity desk along the wall in one corner. Your computer setup was in the other corner where you’d play games like Lost Ark, League of Legends, and Teamfight Tactics. You weren’t the best at PC games, but you enjoyed it all the same. During your time off when you’re not visiting people, if you weren’t reading or watching dramas or music shows, you’re often found playing games.
Your nest was located in the middle of your room. You didn’t like going into your nest without showering first if you left home, excluding when you go to the main house. You need to do your best to keep it clean. Your nest consisted of your large king sized bed with four pillows on top and two green and blue colored comforters, respectively, folded at the edge of your bed. There were some stuffed animals like your sea otter plushie and your axolotl squish mallow among others. He'd make sure to buy you whatever you wanted for your nest and scent as many things as you wanted. He couldn’t wait for you to make a nest in his mansion. There were various clothes strewn across your nest from trying to find clothes to dress in for your meeting with Christopher.
“Cute.” Christopher held you in his arms, swaying you back and forth, as he examined your room.
“Come into my nest, alpha.” You tugged at his arms, leading him to your nest. You gathered your clothes and set them on your computer chair. You’d deal with it later. Christopher had taken a seat at the edge of your nest, but you rushed back to him and lightly pushed his shoulders to get him to follow you before climbing onto your bed and moving towards the headboard to rest your head on your pillows. Christopher followed suit after you settled down and wrapped you in his arms, your back to his chest, and scented you again as his scent had washed off of you because of the bath.
You turned around after he finished scenting you almost into a scent high. “Do you like my nest?” you questioned him, happily nuzzling into him as much as you could. You were purring non stop because of how happy you were.
“Of course I do, baby. It’s very comfortable, and your arrangement of your things is cute like you are.” He kissed you along your hairline, pecking you repeatedly leading you to giggle. Christopher was thrilled at being in your nest. He couldn’t believe he was in one of them after all these years. The trust you’ve shown him today had him falling more in love with you, which he didn’t think was even possible. Inviting an alpha into an omega’s nest especially when in a courtship showed that the omega was serious in having the alpha as her mate. You both understood that as teenagers, but you were forced to move away before Christopher could claim you as his omega. You knew Christopher was courting you as a teenager, but you were mistaken in thinking he didn’t want you after you moved back to Korea, thinking that the courting was broken when you stopped talking to each other. Now you knew better, and you were determined more than ever to have him as your mate. Trial period be damned. You’d get him to mate you soon, and no one could separate you again.
Christopher rolled over until he was pinning you down onto your bed with you gazing up at him. He quickly captured your lips with his, his tongue licked your lips to ask for entrance. As soon as you opened your lips for him, he shoved his tongue into your mouth, licking into you as much as he could. You closed your eyes and clung onto his shoulders, loving the feeling of his body against yours. He was conscious to keep most of his weight off of you so as not to hurt you, but the feeling of his body against yours lit a fire under you. You pressed your mouth harder against his mouth, sucking on his tongue for a moment, and Christopher let out a deep moan at that. Hearing him moan, you bucked your hips against his with a whimper. He pulled away from you, panting. “Soon, I promise. I’ll claim you soon, I promise,” he kept mumbling those words to you, and you let out a whine at how much you wanted him.
“Alpha, please.” You bared your throat to him in submission. You desperately wanted him to claim you. You’ve gone so long without him, you didn’t want to wait anymore. “Please, I want you,” you whined at him.
He growled at you. “Don’t you dare, omega. I said soon.” You pouted, but he’s grown immune to it. Your lips twisted in displeasure at that. Seeing that, Christopher sighed and pressed down harder against you, burying his head in your neck, and just inhaling your scent. You keened, so he pressed his canines slightly against your skin. So spoiled and yet here he was doing the spoiling. The pressure of his canines wasn’t enough to claim you as a mate, but enough to get you to calm down some. He sucked along your neck leaving hickeys in his wake. The least he could do was mark you up that way. You finally relaxed in his hold.
With your neck all marked up, you’re going to have to use concealer or a turtleneck else your grandfather might have a heart attack. You’re worried he’d actually have one once you mate with Christopher. You know Jinchul was definitely going to freak out. For them, it’ll be too soon to see you mated with a deranged alpha who suddenly showed up out of nowhere to claim you as soon as he could, and that you let him, encouraged him even. They were the ones wanting you to take your time during the trial period, and you felt bad but not bad enough to hold off mating with your alpha. While you wanted your grandfather’s blessing, you were an adult who knew what you wanted, and you wanted your Christopher.
Christopher rolled off you and took you in his arms again, trapping you and tucking your head under his chin. “If you’re good, we can do it tomorrow night after we go out for dinner.” The both of you were getting desperate, so he was willing to mate with you tomorrow after at least one date.
“Really?” you chirped, your scent taking on a sweeter taste causing him to manhandle you so he could move to mouth at your scent gland in your neck for a minute. You moaned, but did your best not to initiate anything wanting to be obedient for your alpha. You’d be so good that he’d definitely want to officially mate you tomorrow night.
He suddenly ripped himself away, eyes wide with blown out pupils, panting. The way you smelled and how you were listening to him riled him up. His control slipped for a moment as his eyes glowed. “Omega,” he called out to you, his alpha having taken over.
In response, your omega surged to the forefront. “Alpha,” your omega purred back. He captured you in another kiss, teeth clashing, and a hand darted to your head and fisted your hair tightly. He kissed you as messily as he could. You cried out, his mouth swallowing your sound, your own pupils taking over your irises at the sensations, eyes glowing. He devoured you, and you submitted. By the time he pulled back, a string of saliva was attached to both your lips, and your omega retreated as did his alpha.
You were laying down, hair spread around you under you, staring up at your alpha, panting. He could smell the arousal coming off of you.
“Fuck!” Christopher slammed a hand down next to your head on the bed, leering down at you. You were so much smaller than him, and he knew he could do anything he wanted to you. “You really try my patience,” he said darkly. His eyes wild. Feral.
“Not that hard when you’re as crazy as you are,” you teased him, still breathing hard, not even phased by Christopher’s reaction.
“And now crazy me is going to show you what happens when you push me. Red to stop. Be grateful, omega,” Christopher sneered at you.
“What? Red to stop? Be grateful?”
He didn’t even bother giving a response. He swiftly moved down your nest and shoved his shirt you were using up your body then yanked your underwear off, situating himself between your thighs. It all happened in seconds.
“Chris, what-?” you couldn’t even finish your sentence before he dove down and sucked harshly on your clit. You gave a loud cry and tried to close your legs only to have his arms hook around your thighs, gripping them to forcefully keep your legs spread wide open. The next thing you know he was shoving his tongue deep in your pussy, and you let out a cross between a moan and a shriek. He licked and sucked, alternating between your pussy and clit, like a man starved, as if drinking your slick was the only thing that could save him from dying of thirst. Fuck, you tasted so good. He was addicted then, and he sure as hell was addicted now. And you were all his. Only his. His omega like he's dreamed of for years.
It was sexy and messy, and you loved it. Your legs trembled at the pleasure, and you leaned up to entangle your fingers in his tousled brown hair and tugged. He moaned into your pussy making you give your own loud moan at the vibration. You kept bucking your hips, riding his face, the pleasure becoming near unbearable. His own hips bucking as his cock hardened in his sweatpants needing relief. The sounds you were making had him going wild. He moved back to sucking your clit and took a hand off your thigh to shove two of his thick, long fingers into your pussy, thrusting them harshly in and out. He groaned at how tight you felt around his fingers. You moaned at the intrusion, uncomfortable, but quickly turning into pleasure, beginning to feel hot pressure building in you because of his fingers and mouth. Fucking hell. You gripped his hair tighter, eyes closed trying to make the pleasure last. “Wanna cum, alpha. Please let me cum,” you kept whimpering over and over. In response, he growled and yanked his fingers out to replace it once more with his mouth and used his fingers to rub at your clit as he thrusted his tongue in and out of you, sometimes licking you along your slit to your clit and back again then thrusting his tongue back into your pussy. You sobbed at how much pleasure you were experiencing, some tears coming out from your eyes, only to release your hold on his hair to arch your back, throwing your head back, mouth agape. Before you knew it, you let out another loud cry and squirted out slick, drenching his face as he groaned, drinking as much as he could manage, some dripping down onto your sheets. You panted and whined due to overstimulation as he kept licking you until he was satisfied that he drank as much of your slick that your body willingly gave him.
Christopher then moved away quickly only to take off his sweatpants and underwear, letting you see his thick cock. He twisted his body to lean against your bed’s headboard but not before he cupped your pussy to get the last of your leaking slick on his hand after wiping off some slick from his face, then wrapped his hand around his cock, fisting it, and started moving his hand using your slick as his lube. You ogled at him, eyes wide as you watched him fist his cock with his hand and your slick. You crawled forward and pawed at his chest, nudging at his chin with the top of your head, pulling back, and doing it over again, silently trying to ask permission to touch him. You knew begging him verbally wouldn’t do a thing. You needed to show him how much you wanted it.
Christopher watched you intently, eyes glowing, for the next minute as he continued to slowly fist his cock. Then his other hand darted to your head to fist into your hair, and he slowly guided you to his cock. You didn’t hesitate to open your mouth to take him in. He only allowed you to suck at the head at first as he fisted himself faster, your drool dripping down his aching, hard cock and his hand. “Good girl. Take what I give you,” he snarled at you. Within the next minute, he took his hand away from his cock, tightened his hand in your hair and pressed down before letting you have some control. You happily slid down further to deep throat him as much as you could, before pulling back licking and sucking the tip of his cock and your hand fisting the rest as your other hand’s nails dug into his thigh. As pleasure and pain mixed, he groaned, eyes closing, and he threw back his head before shooting his seed down your throat, giving a small roar of pleasure. You pulled back and swallowed his cum before Christopher grabbed you, hauling you up to him, and kissed you, tasting yourselves on each other’s lips. As you broke apart, he leaned his forehead against yours, and he moved your bodies to rest against each other, limbs entangled, breath mingling together.
He eventually got up to wash himself in the bathroom after untangling himself from you. He wiped himself down and wet a towel and grabbed another clean towel. Christopher came back into your nest and helped wipe you down with the wet towel and used the other one to wipe down where some of your slick was on your sheets after he patted you down, so you were no longer wet from the wet towel. He’ll change the sheets tomorrow morning. He then put the towels away in the hamper before coming back to you. Both of you dressed back into your pajamas and curled up together in your nest with your blue comforter over the both of you. He pressed himself against you, head resting against your pillow, and trapped you in his arms. You cuddled into his chest feeling sated. You purred your satisfaction causing him to chuff.
“Are you going to behave now, omega?” He nuzzled you, rubbing his cheek against the top of your head.
“Yes, alpha,” you chirped before resuming your purring.
“Go to sleep. It’s late,” he told you, “we’re eating breakfast with your grandfather tomorrow.” He didn’t want to, but you already promised, so he’d go. The mundane things he’d do for you even if he hated other people.
As if on cue at that reminder, you yawned. “Okay. Love you, Chris.” You easily fell asleep several minutes later, tired after the day you had, but not before hearing his next words, a smile spreading on your lips before you drifted off.
“I love you too, (y/n).” He curled around you even more so now he was touching as much as he could of you without making both of you uncomfortable, rumbling. Christopher was soothed by being in your nest and being able to hold you. This was what he wanted every night. He would kill so he could keep having you this way every night. He kept rumbling until he, too, finally fell asleep.
———
Halfway through the night, you woke up with a scream in your throat. You clawed at your chest trying to soothe yourself as you finally let out a strangled scream followed by violent sobbing, your scent turning acrid. Christopher immediately snapped awake. “Omega? (y/n)?” he called out your name. Your head snapped towards your alpha as you recognized his voice, still sobbing, and threw yourself into his arms. He embraced you and held you as close as could be possible. “I’m here, I’m here…” He kept repeating, as he gently rocked you back and forth.
“Alpha,” you cried out. “Alpha, please help. Please help me. Help. Please help.” You couldn’t stop seeing Beru kill Min. While you had gotten to know the shadow ant for a while, you could still remember him killing one of your closest friends, and who was going to kill all of you before he was stopped. You remembered Eunseok as he died, killed by an ant that you nor Min or even Baek could save him from. You remembered your parents dying to High Orcs and Nagas, them screaming for you to run and get away as your parents, newly awakened, tried to fight off the monsters who wanted to rip you all apart. It was Christopher who found you quickly and defended you from jackals about to tear you apart. “Don’t die, alpha. You can’t die,” you whimpered in-between your violent sobbing; starting to hyperventilate at the thought of Christopher dying and choking on your sobs.
“Alpha is alive, omega. I’ll protect you just like I did when we were young. I’ll keep protecting you now. Alpha is here to help you.” Christopher gently guided you to rest your head against his neck and released his scent, pumping a lot of it out, hoping it’ll help you calm down. “Breathe with me. 1 deep breath, exhale. 2 deep breaths, exhale.” For a moment, he tried to get you to breathe and inhale his scent so you’d feel surrounded by him. You slowly stopped hyperventilating but the sobs continued. He needed to break you out of your flashbacks. Christopher had an epiphany and remembered that asking someone to describe their senses has the chance to drag them back into the present rather than staying in the flashbacks.
“What do you see, omega? Can you tell alpha what you see?”
“I see alpha. I see my nest.” You hiccuped trying to answer him. Your eyes were glazed over, but your sobbing was lessening. “I’m in my nest.”
“Good girl. You're doing good. What do you feel?”
“I feel alpha holding me.”
Just a little bit more. “That’s right, sweet girl.” He started humming and asked, “What did you just hear?”
“I heard alpha humming.” You finally started to relax as you became more aware of where you are and who was there with you. You weren’t back at Jeju Island nor in America where your parents died to protect you. You were in your alpha’s arm snuggled up with him. You licked at his neck scent gland.
“And what did you just taste, omega?”
“I tasted alpha’s scent gland so I can smell more of alpha’s sandalwood even if I can’t smell well right now.” He finally felt you melt against him, your sobs dying off.
“I’m sorry that I woke you up.” You rested against your alpha, eyes closing as your hands lay over his chest. You could feel his heart beating, telling you Christopher was alive right next to you. If your alpha died, you’d go with him. You couldn’t bear to lose more loved ones. It’s not fair that so many of them have died because of these monsters.
“Don’t be sorry.” Christopher’s embrace crushed you to him. You welcomed it. You needed it. It meant being with Christopher was real. That he was here with you and not back in America out of your reach. The only person in the whole world that you trusted to keep you safe without question. The one who saved you from dying from monsters at the beginning of the gates and one of the few who lived to tell the tale. He crooned to you over and over, “Alpha is here. Alpha will take care of you.” You fell asleep to his comforting hug and words. Christopher vowed that he’d do his best not to die. You needed him with you, and he couldn’t leave you behind in this world with you being so vulnerable. He had to live so you would live. With that thought in mind, he did his best to drift off to sleep. Tomorrow would be a tiring day, he just knew it, but hopefully at the end of the night it’d go well, and you won’t have any nightmares.
—----
Morning came soon enough. Your daily alarm went off, waking the both of you up. Luckily, you often woke up early to spend the morning relaxing before eating breakfast with your grandfather, so you had more than enough time to get ready. Christopher changed the bedsheets for you with your extra ones while you tidied up your living room. You’d need to wash laundry sometime soon. Both of you took another bath together again to relax, needing it because of last night, before you worked on getting ready to eat breakfast with your grandfather. You were feeling much better after sleeping the rest of the night dreamless and the nice bath you took with Christopher.
You scanned your neck in the mirror looking disgruntled after you and he dressed in your respective underclothes. You didn’t realize how much Christopher marked up your neck. Christopher was drying off your hair with a towel as you took a good look at your neck for the first time that morning. He tossed the towel in the hamper and leaned forward so your back was flush against his chest, arms wrapped around your waist, a smug smile tugging at his lips. Your neck was marked all over with hickeys like he made it his mission to mark you with them as much as he could. “Seriously?” This guy…
“I think it looks good.” Christopher snickered. You smacked his arm but only succeeded in making him guffaw. It always felt like a baby slap to him when you’d do it. He then stopped and kissed the side of your head as he watched you pout. Not an apology but wanting to give you some comfort.
“Aish. Do I wear a turtleneck or makeup?” You moved your head side to side, looking at the sides of your neck, and the many hickies you now have decorating said neck.
“Turtleneck would be easier to cover it up, but he’ll probably know you’re hiding something. The makeup has a chance to smudge, and then he’ll just see it,” he offered his opinion. You were probably screwed either way.
“Well, I should have some nice sleeveless turtlenecks somewhere in my closet.” You patted his arm once and he let you go. You wandered over to your closet and looked at your nice clothes. All your play and home clothes were in your dresser, but your nicer clothes were hung up along with your healing uniform back when you would go on raids rather than meeting hunters after they completed the gate. You eventually found a red sleeveless turtleneck and quickly put it on paired with a pair of black short jeans.
“You look great, pretty girl.” Christopher grabbed your waist and brought you close to him. He hummed in his low tone making you sigh with content as he swayed the two of you back and forth. With your arms around his neck, you rested your head on his chest with your eyes closed drinking in his sandalwood scent, and let him lead you in a dance.
“I always did like dancing with you at home.” You sighed again happily. Christopher said nothing but he squeezed your waist tighter for a second showing he was listening.
Eventually, he stopped humming and just held you in his arms not moving. You looked up at him with a smile, and then he leaned down to give you a chaste kiss. “Brush your hair while I change clothes. I’ll put it up for you after.”
He didn’t need to tell you twice. You got your brush from your vanity and did your best to get rid of the tangles in your hair. Thankfully, you finished brushing your hair before Christopher appeared behind you with a hair band in his hand wearing a tan long sleeve shirt and matching pants. You just handed him the brush, and he put your hair up in a high ponytail. “Thank you,” you chirped at him. You turned around and gave him a quick kiss against his jaw before he leaned down so you could give him another kiss to his lips.
He smiled and grasped your jaw lightly, yet you could feel the possessiveness and assertiveness suddenly radiating from him. “Behave today, omega, and you’ll get what you want.” You nodded after he released you and gripped the sleeve of his long sleeve, feeling joyful at the thought of mating with him.
The two of you left taking with you your essentials like your purse, phones, keys, and wallets just in case you ended up going out. You have a car, but don’t use it all too often, mostly to visit friends, which happens once or twice a week; although, in recent weeks you haven’t been going out at all besides to work. Most days, you get a ride from your grandfather or Jinchul as you tend to go to work with one or the other depending on circumstances.
You opened the back door of the main house and entered with Christopher following, closing the door behind the two of you. Your grandfather was already sitting at the dining table reading the newspaper with a western breakfast laid on the table - pancakes, eggs, and sausage, though there was also rice. “Good morning, grandpa.” You went to his side and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“Good morning, my dear.” Gunhee put down the newspaper and smiled at you, but his smile faltered for a second when he took a good look at you, seeing you wearing a turtleneck. That wasn’t normal. What were you hiding? It had certainly better not be a mating mark. “Did you sleep well?” His eyes turned to stare down at Reed who greeted him politely. You saw your family’s butler, a beta named Jaejoong, off to the side and waved to him too. He bowed to you before he excused himself to do the gardening.
“Good morning, Mr. Go. We slept well. Thanks for asking,” Reed replied, returning to his cordial self. The two of you took the seats next to each other with your seat nearer to your grandfather while he sat at the head of the table.
“I asked Jaejoong to make a western breakfast since I wasn’t sure you’d be accustomed to Korean food,” said Gunhee, a strained smile on his lips. You noticed he kept scanning you then glaring at Christopher moments later and rinse and repeat. You held back a wince. Looks like Christopher was right and your grandfather did suspect something. Yeah, you were screwed. Oh boy. You looked at Christopher catching the fake smile that was borderline a smirk at the looks your grandfather kept sending him, and you could feel a headache coming on. You knew he was about to pull some shit that was going to bother your grandfather. And just like that, suddenly you felt a hand on your thigh, Christopher making it into a show, and you almost banged your head on the table at the obvious challenge he was sending your grandfather who looked annoyed. He told you to behave only to misbehave himself, blatantly putting his hand on your thigh.
You put your hand over his and dug your nails in. He didn’t even flinch but merely turned to smile at you causing you to send him a look of disbelief. His smile got wider, a manic tinge to it, and you had to stop yourself from making a strangled noise. You forgot how petty he could be just because someone who he couldn’t just walk away from was annoying him. “Let’s eat. Shall we?” Your grandfather cut in. He definitely was unhappy right now. Christopher gave your thigh another squeeze before the three of you started eating.
You quietly ate your meal wanting to hide. You had hoped for the best, but clearly you knew this was going badly already. It was silent except for the clicking of utensils against the plates. Your gaze darted from your grandfather to Christopher and back again. Gunhee looked tense like he didn’t know whether to say something or not. He honestly looked ready to throttle Christopher. Your alpha, on the other hand, broke into a self-satisfied smile that was almost all teeth. You wanted to disappear.
“So do you have any plans today?” Your grandfather turned towards you as he decided he’d ignore Reed. Focusing on him any longer will lead to Gunhee starting something and upsetting you. He knew you were already feeling anxious by the smell of your scent, so he decided to cut you some slack. You were happy with Reed, but it was hard to accept him, yet he wouldn’t start something so as to not ruin your happiness.
You gave him a thankful smile, understanding that your grandfather was trying for you, getting a weak smile in return. “We’re planning to go out for dinner but nothing in particular during the day,” you answered.
“We could just stay home until then,” Christopher offered, “I don’t mind just staying in if you want since we’re going out later.” He just wanted to stay with you in your nest before your date. Last night was still on his mind, and he was worried about you.
“Actually, why don’t you take him to the White Tiger’s headquarters to see Baek? There should be no raids he’ll be participating in today. He asked about you yesterday. He also mentioned his mate would like to see you before you leave for America.” Your grandfather suggested. Gunhee trusted you to tell him the truth when you did mate, but he hoped you’d wait for a while to get to know Reed again before you do something you’d later regret. It was just so hard knowing he's losing you to such an unhinged alpha. “Just don’t cause trouble with Baek’s guild.” He reminded the both of you of what he asked when you first saw Christopher again. You turned to stare at Christopher at that statement, which he only raised an eyebrow back.
“Hmmm…well, both options sound good. I should go see Miseon-unnie and Jiyeon-unnie too before I leave.” You thought of Baek’s mate and Min’s widowed mate. Jiyeon has been refusing to move on even though her mating bond was broken now that Min has passed. At least half of those who lose their mates never take another due to how deeply they loved their mate when they were still alive as is the case with Jiyeon. You remember how much in love those two had been together. You really do miss Min; your sunbae was one of the best omega friends you’ve ever had.
Part of you resented Sung for only interfering in the Jeju raid when Cha got severely injured and not any earlier when you were all already in trouble. He could’ve even gone with you all from the beginning like you had asked him to. You tried to not let it get to you back when you were still trying to court him, but now with him having essentially screwed you over, regardless of how happy you were that you ended up with Christopher, the resentment came back full force added by the humiliation you suffered. You lost one of your greatest friends that day, and it’s hard to lose friends for you as it always reminds you of losing your family due to a dungeon break in America. It didn’t help that Jeju island was a dungeon break gone very, very wrong. “Chris, maybe we should go see Yoonho-sunbae. It’s been a while since we talked, and you can see one of our top S-Rank hunters. Maybe we can even see Hunter Choi. He’s the Korean alpha representative chosen for the experiment. Before we leave, we should meet with my omega friends too.”
Christopher grimaced in displeasure secretly making your grandfather pleased, both feeling petty towards one another. “If that’s what you want then okay.” He clicked his tongue but said nothing else on the subject. If that’s what you wanted, then you’d get it. He hated alphas and omegas, finding them a threat to both you and him, but for you, he’d sort of try. These people supported you when he couldn’t, so maybe he’ll give them a chance as long as they acknowledged that he was your alpha, which he would officially be after tonight even if you already mentally claimed each other. It’s not like he ever planned to go through a trial period and wait to mate you. Why would he when he could have you as soon as both of you were prepared to become each other’s mate? But if any alphas started sniffing around you, he would attack them. God forbid anyone actually tried to harm you because then he’d kill them. Luckily, most alphas scattered when faced with Christopher even before he became a national hunter. “I’m scenting you before we leave,” he grumbled lowly to you. At least then he’d feel more comfortable being surrounded by them than if you weren’t smelling like him.
You rubbed his arm. “Thank you, alpha,” you chirped. Christopher softened at you using his alpha title. He’d never get tired of you acknowledging him as your alpha. “I promise you can scent me after breakfast and before we go.” That cheered him up, but then it was your grandfather’s turn to grimace before he smoothed over his expression. You deadpanned having seen it. These petty alpha dick swinging contests are annoying, you thought to your omega. She agreed, and you could just imagine her shaking her head making tsk noises.
Your grandfather checked the time and sighed. “Time to go to work for me.” Both of you stood up at the same time. You hugged your grandfather and gave him another kiss on the cheek. “Take care of yourself, grandpa! Or I’ll tell Jinchul to take matters into his own hands to make sure you are,” you told him.
Gunhee laughed and hugged you back. “Be good while I’m gone. Also leave the dishes. Jaejoong will take care of it.” Gunhee was reluctant to leave you two alone. He really hoped you weren’t doing anything because you’re being pressured into it by Reed. Gunhee just couldn’t find it in himself to trust him.
“I’m 26, grandpa. I’ll be fine.” You narrowed your eyes at him, cheeks puffed out. That image probably didn’t help. You admit you were a bit childish, especially as it can be a coping mechanism for you, but you also knew how to be an adult, somewhat anyway. But you’d argue that most people didn’t know how to be mature adults even if they were of age, so there was that. Actually, you know what, you might as well be a bit childish. You blamed Christopher and Jinchul. They babied you too much, and you got used to it. And you weren’t going back from it. They better keep babying you. Makes life a whole lot easier for you. You’re surrounded by mostly great alphas here in Korea. Too bad Sung and Cha were terrible alphas to you. Back in America, Christopher had you mostly surrounded by betas unless they were part of your school’s baseball team that had been essentially ruled by Christopher, Jordan, and then Sean later.
“You’ll always be my dear granddaughter to me. So be good,” Gunhee told you, “and stay out of trouble.”
“Hmph. It's not my fault that trouble finds me.” You pouted. It was true though. Sometimes you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time like when there was a dungeon break when you were buying lunch at a restaurant on your lunch break. You were upset not only because some people were injured, though you healed them right up so you didn’t worry about them and got them to safety, but also because the restaurant that sold your favorite tteokbokki had to be shut down for a while. Luckily, you tended to escape the troublesome situations mostly unscathed in the end because someone you knew came to the rescue. That time it was Eunseok, Baek and Min since they were in the area at the time eating lunch themselves. Often, it was either Jinchul or Eunseok, Baek, and Min, before the two of them died, getting you out of trouble although Choi has helped you out a few times too. You knew you were going to give Jinchul early gray hairs at this point, maybe even sending him to an early grave. Your poor best friend was always going crazy with worry whenever you got into dumb situations by accident. He really was like a mom and a dad at the same time making you laugh, and you appreciated him all the more for it.
“Sure, my dear.” Gunhee was amused. He knew the trouble you often got into and how much stress your friends endure due to it. He's just relieved that you tended to come out mostly alright in the end. Nothing that your healing can’t heal anyway. “Alright. I’ll head out now. Love you, my dear.”
“Love you too, grandpa,” you chirped, waving goodbye to him. He left, and it was just you and Christopher who didn’t even bother saying goodbye to your grandfather, not that Gunhee cared. You whirled around to face Christopher with a huff. “You tell me to behave and then you do that!” You flail your arms dramatically and the utter gall of your alpha to only laugh at you in response. “Seriously, Chris!” you whined.
“I’m not sorry,” said Christopher. Your jaw dropped at his shamelessness. You sputtered for a moment.
“I know you have your issues but could you at least try to get along with my grandfather?”
“He hasn’t liked me since the beginning anyway. He knows there’s something off about me when, you know, I threatened everyone in that online conference.” He shrugged, not particularly bothered that your grandfather didn’t like him. That won’t stop him from having you, so he didn’t care, but just in case, he asked, “Will you not mate with me because we don’t get along?”
“Shut up. You know I’ll mate with you regardless of anything.” You rolled your eyes. He’s really made it a thing where the only one he cared about was you and damn the rest. Well, you suppose he wouldn’t be the same unhinged alpha you knew if he was any different. It definitely helped you last night.
“Watch it, omega,” he said, but he couldn’t help but chuff at your confirmation that you’d mate with him regardless of anything. That was a relief to him. He really did not care about much as long as there were no threats to you or your relationship with him. Because if there were, if he can’t just ruin their lives in some way to get them to back off, well, then, he’d have to solve the problem the old fashioned way: killing whoever he needed to. He smiled maliciously at the thought, his alpha growling in agreement. Unless they harmed you, then all bets were off. He would just kill them.
You sighed, your headache getting worse at the wicked smile that just crossed his lips. “Let’s just go back into my nest. We’ll head out after lunch. I just want to lie back down for a while. I have a headache.”
Christopher easily swooped you into his arms in a princess carry. You wrapped your arms around him, closing your eyes, leaning against him. You left your essentials on the table since you’d need to go through the main house to leave anyway. Your grandfather wanted it as a security measure so hopefully he’d take care of the intruders if that ever happened before they reached you. You were the apple of his eye and the last of his family, making him overprotective. Luckily, you knew how to deal with overprotectiveness. Thanks, Christopher. “Let’s go back to your nest then. You promised to let me scent you,” he said.
The two of you spent time until lunchtime in your nest getting to know each other all over again with him holding you the entire time, scenting you enough to send you into a scent high for an hour. With you being completely relaxed due to the scent high, he began telling you about what he’d been up to. He told you that he ended up graduating with his economics degree, and the college adventures he went on after you left. Mostly getting dragged around by Jordan to go on raids with some of their classmates, most of them his old teammates, but he stopped talking to the vast majority of them. You were surprised he still talked to Jordy, even telling you that Jordy mated with another beta; although, he forgot her name, making you slap his arm. Like at least remember the name of your long term friend’s mate. Christopher just shrugged. Then he told you that Sean ended up mating with the beta girl you were friends with in high school making you puff out your chest, feeling proud since you were the one to hook them up junior year of high school. He barely remembered her name as Julia, but you guessed it was better than not remembering. Even you had remembered Julia’s name much more easily than him, and you hadn’t seen her in years. At least he remembered his old baseball teammates and apparently still talked to some, which you noticed was only the betas. So now you know what he meant by meeting a few people if he didn’t lock himself in his mansion. He also told you that he liked seafood and spicy foods and the various other hobbies he’s gotten into whenever he had time when he wasn’t raiding.
You then told him your favorite foods like pickled radishes, marinated brisket, pork jowl and pork belly. You enjoy going to Korean barbecues, especially to eat pork jowl. He made a mental note to ask your chief inspector friend about places to go for that. You told him how you spent most of the time working when you moved back after graduating high school in Korea. You didn’t have the chance to go to college as you immediately started helping your grandfather as soon as you could. You told him how you used to raid as a healer, but eventually started to go to gates and wait for hunters to come out and heal them there. You then told him why your grandfather told you to stay out of trouble and how you were often saved by your alpha friends, making Christopher growl at the thought of you being in danger.
You explained that you went and became semi-retired after the fourth completed Jeju Island raid where you suffered PTSD from losing so many of your fellow hunters as you had also participated in the failed third Jeju Island raid. You kept being reminded of your family dying, and all of that culminated into PTSD so you stayed out of raids now and only helped hunters after the raid’s completion because you had froze in the last raid you went on after Jeju. That’s why you freaked out last night. You told him how you’d wake up screaming thinking you or your loved ones died.
Christopher reminded you that you should just fully retire and stay within the comforts of his mansion so you could be away from things that reminded you of hunting that might prompt a breakdown to work on your mental health. If you wanted to go out, he could take you wherever just like it used to be in high school or have Jordan or Sean take you wherever you needed to go. Where one went, the other wasn’t far behind, or you got babysat. That was the motto you two often followed to make sure you’d stay safe. Hell, he used to pick you up from high school and just drive to his college, and you sat in his class with his professors’ permission doing your homework while Christopher focused on his class. He’d then drive the both of you home after, which was always his last class of the day. You went quiet at his reminder of what he asked you the day before, and Christopher just squeezed you to him and rumbled to comfort you. He would take care of you and help you through your PTSD and whatever else you needed him for. Truly, you needing him so much was what he lived for. He’d be the best alpha for you, the superior one. He didn’t need to be the strongest or the smartest; he just needed to be a pillar of foundation for you to rely on and be the best alpha for you.
Before you know it, it was lunch time. Jaejoong came by with lunch and you both ate. It was lean roasted pork loins and rice. Jaejoong’s cooking was no joke; you enjoyed it every time. You drank your melon milk while Christopher drank lemon water. After you both finished eating, Christopher scented you one more time until he was satisfied that you smelt strongly of him. Then the two of you headed out with Christopher making sure you took all the essentials you needed. You put in the address of the White Tiger’s headquarters on your phone’s GPS when you were buckled up in your car, and you two were off with Christopher driving.

MDNI —--- MINORS DO NOT INTERACT —-- MDNI
The two of you ended up on your couch in the living room. Christopher laid down on the couch first, his head resting on the couch’s armrest as the rest of his body rested across the cushions and his feet on the other armrest, and pulled you right on top of him. He spent years being deprived of you, he’d be damned if within the comfort of your home would he be separated from you in any way more than necessary.
“Why did you stop talking to me?” You questioned him, propping your elbow on his pecs, your hand holding your head up as you stared down at him. He stared straight back at you, frowning, looking like he was thinking of what exactly to say.
“I was busy with raids as a newly minted national hunter, and you were dealing with having moved back to Korea. You even had to deal with mourning your parents and grandmother, which had you spending more time with your grandfather. I wanted to earn enough money that in several years, I would’ve been able to support the two of us. Before I knew it, after all those back to back raids I’d do, you had stopped messaging me and when I finally tried to get into contact with you, it said the number wasn’t in operation anymore. I should’ve just stormed into Korea for you since it would’ve been easy to find you.”
You listened to him, and the guilt that seized you was near unbearable. How could you not believe in him when he’s lived so much of his life thinking about you - to love you and take care of you?
“By the time I got my new number, I thought you didn’t want to talk to me anymore since your replies started becoming fewer and farther between, so I didn’t bother trying to get back into contact with you after not hearing from you after six months. It was hard being in different time zones,” you admitted guiltily. You remembered telling him that you wanted to spend more time with your grandfather, then you were offered a job as a healer for the Hunter’s Association, so you could understand how he became busy. It’s just 18 years old you were so distraught from everything that you thought you had lost Christopher too. That maybe he found someone else since you had to live in Korea for the unseeable future since he talked to you less and less. You lowered your head down onto his chest, mewling in your guilt, floral scent attaining a burnt smell to it. Your alpha had actually been working so hard for the two of you, and you overthought so much that it led to a seven year estrangement. “I thought you had moved on from me. I’m sorry,” you continued mewling, bursting into tears, burying your face into his chest with a sob.
Christopher immediately started rumbling in hopes of soothing you, letting his sandalwood scent permeate the air for you to indulge in. “My silly omega as if I could ever move on from you. It’s only ever been you. You’re it for me,” he told you. And you were. He should’ve just stormed into Korea and took you back with him. His poor darling thinking he’d move on from you and look at someone else much less be with them. His alpha recognized you as his omega the moment he met you, imprinting on you, which was a very rare occurrence for alphas, and it hadn’t changed in over ten years. It was like finding an omega soulmate for alphas. Christopher would rather die than be with anyone not you if he couldn’t just outright kill whoever got in his way in attaining you. He saw this as his last chance to have you as his mate. He waited a long time to come back to you, but he’d make it up to you, he vowed.
He rocked you back and forth as much as the couch would let him without both of you falling off of it. All the while he kept up his rumbling knowing that you loved when he did it even back as a teenager and clearly even now. The two of you remained that way for some time; you crying and him trying to soothe you. Then Christopher said, “I’m sorry I made you feel unimportant. If I’d just talk to you sooner, you wouldn’t have suffered so much, and maybe we’d have been mates a long time ago.”
He dug into his pant’s pocket and brought out a handkerchief, using it to dab at your eyes first then your cheeks, and then had you blow your nose into it to help get rid of some snot so you could breathe easier. He tossed it onto your coffee table as you resumed burying yourself as much as you can into him as if you could make the both of you into one being. He’ll help you clean later. Help omega, his alpha growled, tell her you forgive her. “I forgive you. Just like I hope you forgive me.”
You nodded rapidly and tearfully mewled out, “Of course I forgive you. I was so stupid. I’m the one who-”
Christopher cut you off, sternly. “None of that, omega. I said I forgive you. So trust what I’m telling you.” While he wasn’t particularly happy about certain things, your crying was getting to him. He never liked it when you cried and still hated it. It was worse knowing that you were crying because of him indirectly while insulting yourself.
“Okay,” you replied, a couple of hiccups coming out but stopped your mewling. You clutched onto his shirt like a lifeline as you laid your head above his heart and listened to how steady it was. His cute little omega. So delicate. So adorable. His precious little mate. This was why he needed to always protect you; sometimes even from yourself. You just had to listen to him and everything would be better. Christopher ran a hand through your hair, his rumbling resumed causing you to let out a content sigh at the sounds of both his heart and rumbling. The two of you laid on the couch finally starting to feel better about the situation, your scent turning back into its calming lavender. You were getting sleepy, but Christopher wasn’t done talking to you. He needed to know more about what happened to you during the years he missed. There was only so much he managed to find out about how you’ve been.
“What have you been up to since we lost contact?” He sat the both of you up on the couch to get you to wake up more. He sat on the edge of the couch that was comfortable so he wouldn’t fall off balancing you because you perched yourself on one of his muscular thighs, one leg between his legs and the other outside his left thigh, leaning against him.
“I was working as a healer at the Hunter’s Association as I’m the only S-Rank healer left in Korea after my friend and fellow S-Rank healer Hunter Min died. I also spent a lot of time with grandpa. I made a bunch of friends who are mostly hunters. Jinchul would often help take care of me too. He was my first friend I made in Korea, and he’s helped me a lot! I’d say he’s my best friend, actually.”
“Do I need to be worried about him?” Christopher cut in, a sour tone to his voice. He didn’t think that you would be interested in the A-Rank alpha who worked for your grandfather. The two of you didn’t give off that feeling, but you were an adorable omega, and the spiking paranoia that another alpha was trying to take you rose in his mind.
“That’s what you’re focusing on?” You deadpanned at him. Unbelievable. Then again, it honestly wouldn’t be him if that wasn’t what he focused on. Our silly alpha. Your omega agreed with you. It was Jinchul, not Sung. “And no, you don’t need to worry about him. He’s literally like my second guardian. He’s the caring alpha type who mother hens you and acts like a dad at the same time by babying you.” Goodness knows you caused him a lot of stress the last nine years since he first interned at the Hunter’s Association around the same time you came back, especially in the last three with you pining over Sung, and you know you’re still causing him a lot of stress because of Christopher. You’re starting to see a pattern here. Your tastes in alphas seem rather questionable for a normal person. Apparently, you like the powerful crazy types. Whoops.
“You already know you’re not working since you’re now with me. Might as well ask about the alpha you’re saying is taking care of you instead of it being me.” He smirked at you.
“Whatever. There’s nothing between us! Like, it’d be extremely weird if there was!” You go back to what you want. “Anyway, I like healing people! I’m good at it, and can save people. I want to keep being a healer like I do now! I don’t need to be raiding or could even work in the hospital.”
“And I like you not being in danger, and I’m very good at taking care of you even from yourself,” he countered. You pouted at him, but he resisted. His overprotective tendencies couldn’t handle you being put in danger during raids. Lizards were more common in the states, and he’d be damned if they got anywhere near you even if you don’t go into dungeons with them. “It’s more dangerous in the states than here. Lizards are more common and crime more rampant. Even hospitals can be dangerous with unruly patients, especially hunters.” You looked a bit more hesitant with that information. He wouldn’t hesitate to scare you if that’s what it took to get you to stay home. “My mansion is safe.”
You didn’t really think about how different raiding in America would be compared to Korea. You being Gunhee’s granddaughter had afforded you more protection against lizards and false rankers throughout the years, so maybe Christopher might be onto something. Even if people knew you were Christopher’s mate, that may not be able to protect you as much as you were under your grandfather. You wouldn’t be surprised if people wanted to kill you in hopes of claiming Christopher for themselves as the mating bond dissolves after one of the mates dies. Not that Christopher would ever move on if something happened to you; he’d kill whoever killed you then probably keep going on a rampage. It’s been years where he could’ve moved on, but he didn’t. You actually needed to think about working as some kind of healer in America more seriously later. Maybe once you work through your trauma, you could go back like Min had or do something else.
“In any case, I’ll raid less to spend more time with you. I still have to make up for lost time. Tonight will be about you, my pretty girl.” He leaned forward and kissed you, tangling his hand into your hair strands. You kissed back, wrapping your arms around his neck, deciding you’d focus on him instead of worrying about hunting. He pulled back a bit, and you peered at him confused before he started to kiss along your jaw, eventually he moved down to your neck, his lips never leaving your skin, sucking and biting to leave hickeys to mark you as his for now without a mating mark. It started heating up between the two of you. He tightened his grip on your hair, and you moaned rolling your hips, you could feel slickness starting to drip from your pussy, aroused enough to want to use his thigh to chase your pleasure, your core heating up. He laughed darkly as he helped move you back and forth on him, now gripping onto your hips. “Such a spoiled little princess. My spoiled little princess.” Spoiled or not, he loved you, and he needed to make you feel good. His alpha agreed, just as insatiable as him when it came to you.
You were gasping and moaning as he moved his thigh up and down as you rode him, grinding down on his thigh so your pussy would get the friction it craved, the vibration causing a tingle to run down your spine, and your pussy clenched around nothing. You moved one of your hands to tug at his hair before going back to gripping the sides of his neck lightly. He groaned at your movements. “Please, please, please,” you whimpered, begging him. It wasn’t taking long at all for you to want to orgasm. It’s been so long since someone last helped you, and that someone was the alpha in front of you whose thigh you were using to get off. Nine damn years. And even now, your alpha was taking care of you. You moaned at the thought, breathing faster as pleasure started to take over you. He really was the best. Love alpha. Your omega was in bliss. Yeah, we love our alpha, you told her. You clenched your eyes shut just to focus on the pleasure.
“Look at me, omega. What does my pretty girl want?” Christopher pulled back enough to watch with hooded eyes, giving your neck a short break so he could watch you use him, pupils blown out with lust. He missed this. Fuck, he missed you. You always looked the prettiest when you begged him to give you more pleasure. When you mate, he’ll fuck you so dumb you’d never think of leaving him. He’d prove to you he only needed you. No one else will ever compare to you. You were his. He’ll never allow you to forget it. His to have. His to love. His to take from and to give you everything you’d ever want. Your eyes snapped open to look him in the eyes. The darkness swirling in his glowing blue eyes should scare you, but you welcomed it. Your crazy, possessive alpha. You never wanted anyone else ever again. He briefly moved to your lips kissing you, once more devouring you, before going back to sucking on your neck, satisfied at the sight of you slowly becoming undone. You moved your hands to grip his upper back, never stopping your grinding on his thigh.
“I wanna come,” you whined, your movements getting desperate. Your orgasm was close. Just a little more. Some drool slipping down the side of your mouth. He groaned as it trailed down your chin to your neck. He immediately licked it all up.
“Hmmm… And you know what I want? I want you to not work.” He spoke between kissing and sucking on your skin. You couldn’t believe the sheer audacity of this man for doing this to you right now. He’d do any underhanded tactic if it got you to do what he wanted.
“Fine. I’ll think about it, so just let me come,” you keened. He laughed mirthlessly at you. He’d get you to stay home one way or another, even if he had to force you, but for now, he supposed that would be good enough.
Christopher moved his lips towards your ear and groaned out, huskily, “Then come on me, my pretty girl.” He took your earlobe into his mouth, sucking and nipping. That was all it took before you let out a cry of his name as you came, shaking in ecstasy, your omega sharing in it, almost sobbing from how good it felt to come on your alpha. It’s been too long, and it felt so good. You squirted out your slick ruining your clothes and his pants. He didn’t care. He’d buy more clothes for the both of you. “Good girl. My good girl,” he cooed at you, satisfied that he got you to squirt. He felt cocky and a sense of pride knowing he’d made you orgasm hard and fast using just his thigh. Then just as swiftly, his attitude got darker, and he growled out, “The next time you come, it’ll be on my cock.” Watching you fall apart on him was both ecstasy and temptation. He imagined how your pussy would feel around his cock before shutting his eyes tightly to gain back some control over himself. He opened his eyes as you suddenly gripped onto his broad shoulders as you came down from your high.
You moved a hand to cup his cock through his pants, but Christopher caught your hand before you could. “Not now, Princess. I told you tonight is about you, not me.” You whined, but he didn’t give in. “Don't be a brat right now, omega. It’ll happen.” You puffed out your cheeks but seeing as he wasn’t going to do what you wanted, you maneuvered yourself to sit in his lap properly, legs on the side of his hips, and melted against him like you could become one that way, feeling tired. He stroked your hair, crooning to you how you’re such a good girl for him, that he’s here for you, that he will do whatever it took to make you happy. You purred, basking in your alpha’s affection and warmth, eyes sliding shut.
You didn’t know how long time passed before the conversation continued. Your purring and his rumbling was the only sound for a while before Christopher broke it.
“What happened between you and Hunter Sung?” Christopher questioned you, finally feeling his cock soften in his pants as the two of you got more relaxed. While he knew some things about the whole situation, it’d be easier to just ask you about it. His alpha seethed and growled thinking that if Sung didn’t fuck up, you might not be with him right now. Christopher could feel a growl building up at the thought, enough so that he was trying to hold back the growl so you didn’t get upset seeing him upset. He didn’t need to have you start crying again because of him, especially after that nice little session you both just had.
You heaved a sigh, not particularly happy about it still, but relaxed enough after that orgasm. You looked up at him from your head resting against his chest feeling rather boneless. You saw how unhappy he suddenly looked, but you understood that it was something you needed to tell him. “I met Sung and his family not long after I came to Korea when he first started working occasionally as a hunter since he needed money to help his family, and I needed to heal him or he’d die. I get along well with his sister, but I didn’t really get to know his mom until after she woke up from the eternal sleep disease, though I knew her before that. They’ve both treated me well, even after Sung and I stopped talking. He was a lowly E-Rank at the time I started talking to him. I’m not even sure how he ended up as an S-Rank. His E-Rank self was definitely kinder and more open than how he is now. We became quick friends, and I developed some feelings for him. Not as strong as how I feel toward you, promise! But I was thinking that we could at least try.” You paused as you could feel tears building up in your eyes, threatening to drop onto your face. Christopher rubbed your back, and you took a deep breath to calm yourself. You still couldn’t believe what happened to you.
You continued. “He kept putting it off but promised we would try when his sister went to college. That obviously didn’t happen since he’s with Hunter Cha now. I didn’t appreciate all the deep diving reporters kept doing. Someone blabbed about the situation, and I felt so humiliated. I ended up blocking the two. I was mad about being led on for years. I felt like I was taken advantage of, and I couldn’t believe Cha would confess to him, and he accepted knowing that I was trying to initiate a courting and that Sung promised me we’d try. At least their reputations suffered for it. Then I tried to recover from it by myself and then you came back, and everything feels a lot better because you’ve always been the superior alpha to all alphas for me. I just thought you moved on so I tried to. I definitely prefer you over him if that’s what you’re worried about. My unhinged alpha and all that you are.”
That was his spoiled little omega with that nasty hidden vengeance streak. You were kind until someone really crossed your boundaries, then the nastiness came through. He always was amused at your unpleasantness when you were actually beyond pissed at other people, never him. He chuckled. “Unhinged alpha?” Christopher playfully snapped his teeth at you for that causing you to simper. The coy smile you gave him had him pulling you up a bit so he could nuzzle into you easier. The ugly feelings that have been building up in him left. He was glad you wanted him more. He believed it with how you and your omega kept acting whenever she took over, both of you calling him your alpha. You were accepting of him from the most natural part of yourself, wanting him to be your alpha permanently even with his tendencies, and he was so proud of you for it. Loved you more for accepting who he was and loving him anyway. He had been worried that he’d scare you off when meeting him again. He wouldn’t put it past your grandfather or his chief inspector to have mentioned that he threatened to kill so you’d be his omega for the experiment. But here you were, accepting of him just like you once did. He knew from the very start that you would make an excellent mate for him. He loved you so much.
“You know you are.” You smiled teasingly at him, then you added suddenly deadpanning, “Besides, who else would drag up trying to get me to stop working while I was close to orgasming?”
“You know you loved it.” He didn’t bother pointing out what “it” was. He continued, shamelessly, “And I know I’m unhinged, as you like to put it, so you better not forget it.” He knew he was fucked up, but he didn’t care. If that's what it took to keep you with him, it was worth it. Hell would freeze over before he let you go again. He will mate you, and you will be forever his. Till death do you part, and even then, he’d never move on. In any case, he planned to live a very long life with you even if he had to retire from raiding to do so. He would also get you to do what he wanted in the end. Christopher will keep letting you think you have a choice, but your omega will ultimately ensure you’d do what your alpha wants for you. But back to the original subject, he digressed. “You’re better off without him or whoever he ended up with. Good riddance. You deserve much better, and you know, I am that better, so good job being with the superior alpha.” His cockiness made you smile, and you nudged your head under his chin playfully, causing him to sigh happily.
“At first I thought something was wrong with me. First, I lost you, then I lost him.” You hummed. Then you said, dreamily, “and then you came back for me.”
“You never lost me.” He tilted your head back to peck you on your forehead, on your nose, then your cheeks, and finally repeatedly pecked you on the lips with you giggling the whole time. Music to his ears. “Even when we weren’t talking, I only lived and breathed raids and thoughts of you. I mostly kept myself locked away in my mansion doing whatever by myself unless meeting with a few people. I still hate most people,” he admitted, “but I also still have that picture of us on the back of Jordan’s pickup truck when we went to that party.”
“Oh, you mean the one where you serenaded me?” You had been so surprised that Christopher could sing well. You didn’t expect that he was very good at singing country music of all genres. His deep voice with just enough rasp to it when singing used to get a lot of attention from people, not that he cared. They weren’t you. You enjoyed being the only one his attention focused on and being serenaded by him. As long as you enjoyed it, that was good enough for him.
He chuckled, a fond look in his eyes. “Exactly that one. It’s been on my nightstand for years.” It was one of his favorite reminders of you. Being away from you had been torture, but now that you were back in his arms, he never wanted to let you go.
Your eyes softened at his confessions. You vaguely remembered that night. The only part you could clearly recall was him singing to you at the back of the pickup truck, and you remembered how that was the first time you felt like you loved him beyond just liking him, which took like three weeks from meeting him. Christopher had pulled all the stops to get you interested in him. Now look at you two over a decade later.
You leaned up and he met you in a kiss. You closed your eyes and enjoyed feeling Christopher being close to you. He pressed a hand to the back of your head and the other to your back to keep you steady. Kissing him was nice. You slowly broke away from the kiss and yawned. “Okay, shower time for us. Then I’ll let you into my nest and we can rest for a while! No one but you and my family have ever been into my nests,” you told him knowing he’d be pleased to know that fact. He chuffed at what you said, and you beamed at him.
“Us, huh? You little minx.” Not that he minded at all. Although, it’d be a challenge not to fuck you in the shower though. He wanted to at least take you to a nice dinner first before he officially mated you because if you two had sex before his plans, he’d mate you then and there. He wanted one date with you before mating you. The restraint he’s been showing amazed even him. He knew you were waiting for him to make more sexual advances, and he silently promised that you only had to wait a little longer. “And I’d love to go into your nest. Thank you for inviting me in.” Christopher treated your nest as sacred. It was the one place he’d allow you to hide from him if you needed. For you to invite him into your nest was to welcome him to the most vulnerable part of you. You appreciated that about him. He had been in your nest as a teenager and to know he’s still included in that short list of people who’s ever been in your nest warmed him. You kept everyone out except family and him. He was your family now too. He grabbed you and stood the both of you off the couch. “I love you,” he said all he needed to and hugged you.
“I love you too!” You chirped back, embracing him. This was right. Being with Christopher was right. Being in love with him was right. You two stayed like that for a minute, Christopher beyond ecstatic that you felt the same after all these years, before you pulled back. “It's shower time.” He let you go at that, and you didn’t waste a moment. You giggled and hurried towards your master bedroom where the only shower was located with a chuckling Christopher chasing after you. This was what you both wanted. Simply able to be with one another forever.

MDNI —--- MINORS DO NOT INTERACT —-- MDNI
You dressed to impress your alpha. You wore a mermaid red lace long sleeve dress that went down to your ankles and wore your two-inch black heels. It was a dress you were saving for a special occasion, and what a better special occasion than on the night that your alpha would finally claim you. You were pretty proud of yourself that you managed to zipper it up without help. You also wore a dainty bracelet that your grandfather gave you for your birthday six years ago to celebrate your coming-of-age as a young adult. You put your hair up in an elegant updo. You then did your makeup, and you used concealer to cover your hickeys, which worked pretty well. Overall, you were impressed as you looked damn good and felt confident that Christopher would like it too. Your omega agreed, smugly.
You exited the bathroom where you holed up to get ready for your date while Christopher used your room to get ready. You smiled coyly at Christopher who was fixing his collar on his shirt before he stopped as soon as his eyes glimpsed you through your vanity mirror. He whirled around and marched towards you with almost a glare in his eyes. “Hello, my handsome alpha,” you purred out as he reached you. He said nothing before he grabbed you by the waist and kissed you hard.
Eventually, the two of you broke away, panting. You could see your lipstick on his lips. Your gaze trailed upwards to look at Christopher in the eyes only to see his pupils dilated and glowing blue with desire so clear in his eyes that your thighs clenched together as some arousal built in you, but you quickly calmed down. You promised your alpha you’d be good to get what you wanted, so you would.
“You look beautiful, omega,” he crooned. He was almost having second thoughts about your date and debated whether to say fuck it and mate you now and not go to dinner. You looked very sexy in your red dress. It was always his favorite color for you to wear since high school. Christopher thought about all the men who’d be looking at you, but he’d keep you close to him the whole time, otherwise, someone was going to die, and it won’t be either of you. Or any alpha or omega, male or female, better not ruin anything tonight. But he thought of dinner tonight, and he did like seafood a lot. He had to take care of you, and this date would be the first of many to show you how he can provide for you.
“Let me fix my lipstick and then we can head off. It’s almost time to go if we want to make it to the reservation.” You quickly went back into the bathroom and fixed your lipstick while Christopher wiped your lipstick off his lips and finally fixed his collar even if he was tempted to keep your lipstick on his own lips. He was dressed in a white collared shirt with another set of black dress pants. His clothes showed how muscular he was, especially those broad shoulders of his. You were so lucky to have a handsome alpha who’d do anything for you. Sometimes his craziness really does work in your favor.
“Alright, let’s get going before I keep you here.” Because he would. He’d definitely keep you here. You were temptation, and he’d consume you if you both stayed in your home any longer.
The two of you headed off to Haesanmul. It took half an hour to get there. During the drive, the two of you chatted where you told him that you were still on birth control as you weren’t ready for pups, which Christopher didn’t mind. That just meant more time with just the two of you, which pleased him.
Christopher parked the car as you reached the restaurant and hurriedly got out so he could open your door and helped you out. You looked so lovely in your dress, and you deserve nothing less than the royal treatment from him. You smiled gratefully at him as you stepped out of the car with his help.
You got to the front desk and gave the alpha hostess your name as Jinchul had put the reservation under your name. She led you to your table in the back while trying to make small talk to only Christopher, and smiling at your alpha, making you irritated and a little anxious. Like what even was that? It was straight out of a drama where the rival love interest didn’t care that the main interest was right there, she would still try to get attention. Christopher even had a hickey on his neck, on his scent gland at that, and you were right there. Ultimately, your hackles were raised at the blatant disrespect aimed at you. She completely ignored you and focused her attention on Christopher. Alpha with alpha pairings still reminded you of Sung and Cha, and it led to you feeling stressed, but you were trying to not let it affect you on such a special night. It was clear this alpha was interested in your alpha. The obnoxious ones thought they could take Christopher from you, so you could sometimes understand why he didn’t surround himself with other alphas. Only the truly abhorrent omegas went for Christopher despite knowing he was with you back in America. Your omega was starting to get upset, your lovely floral scent burning as you remembered some of it.
Christopher wrapped an arm around your waist, grip tight, as he glared at the hostess. He had been willing to ignore her behavior, but she was starting to cross the line. If she ruined your night, he’d kill her. The hostess quickly stopped talking and looking at him as the mixed scents of burnt lavender and sandalwood filled the air and the nasty, glowing glare Christopher sent her plus the growl he let loose. If looks could kill, she’d have been dead a hundred times over. Yours and your omega’s irritation went away, and you smiled smugly. Of course your alpha was desirable to others, but he always chose you. In all the time you’ve known him, he’s always put you first, no question, over anyone else. Over his family, over your family, over yours and his friends. It didn’t matter who they were; you were always first, his omega. Your scent returned to its normal lavender with ocean mist scent as you rubbed your wrist scent gland against his arm before you reached your table, and the two of you sat down opposite of each other. He only relaxed when the hostess went away.
“Are you okay?” Christopher asked. He wanted this night to go well, and it’s already off to a not-so-great start. His alpha growled at the remembrance of the hostess. He was clearly with you, and her trying to coyly flirt with him knowing that was shameful. As if you weren’t right there. The nerve of some people. This was why he hated unmated alphas because they were often a threat to your relationship with him. Any of them could attack you, and you’d be helpless. Christopher wouldn’t allow their actions to drive you away from him. He was better than Sung in that way; he’d never betray you like he did. He also wouldn’t let them hurt you either if he could help it, and if they did hurt you when he was unavailable to help you, then you had better tell him as soon as you could for him to deal with.
You smiled at him. “I’m okay, thank you for that. I still get stressed thinking about an alpha with alpha pairing, even though there’s nothing wrong with it. It just reminds me of Sung and Cha,” you said, but then you added affectionately, “But it’s okay. I know you’re desirable to others, but you’re mine, and I belong to you. I know you’d never let anyone get in-between us.”
Christopher felt pleased at how secure you felt. He was trying to be more conscientious of how you struggle when you’re stressed as he doesn’t want to worsen your PTSD. It looked like some of it was paying off as you managed to remind yourself that, indeed, he’d never let anyone come between the two of you, and that he’s still there with you. Last night was hard for the both of you, and Christopher was determined to be there for you every step of the way. And that first step was getting through the rest of the day and then mating you. He had heard that mating bonds can help stabilize one of the pairings more than if they were on their own, particularly an imprint bond. Stronger together than on one’s own. And he’s wanted to mate with you for a very long time. All he heard was pros on why he should mate you and no cons in his opinion. The fact that your bond was almost definitely an imprint bond, it's amazing that Christopher didn't try dragging you back to America any earlier. It was a testament to how much he loved you that he did want you to spend time with your last remaining family even though it hurt him being so far away. He was grateful that Sean and Julia had their ways to get information on you that wasn't available to even him. It just hadn't been the right time to come get you. Now it was the right time, and he wouldn't screw up and let you get away like you once did.
The waiter came by with the menus. Christopher ordered a glass of wine; he liked the taste of it, but didn’t want enough of it to impair him in any way to drive or to protect you in case someone tried something. You’re not much of a drinker, most omegas aren’t, so you just ordered a melon soda. You asked for a water on the side while Christopher ordered seokryu-cha pomegranate tea to drink once he finished his wine upon your recommendation. For appetizers, you convinced him to order the nakji bokkeum, which was the stir-fried spicy octopus you loved, which you’re sure Christopher would like since he loves his spicy food and also pickled radishes on the side. You ordered half a dozen oysters with lemon and horseradish. Christopher had the agujjim while you ate bajirak kalguksu. Like you thought, he enjoyed the food, and you had him try your meal as well.
You’ve been here with Jinchul before as the two of you often go out to try different restaurants on the uncommon times that you both have a day off at the same time. Both of you were foodies. Truly, you and Jinchul were best friends for life.
Without anyone bothering you, conversation flowed easier. It was mostly you talking with him listening. You told him about your foodie adventures with Jinchul. He’s the friend you needed to ask if you wanted food recommendations. Jinchul had yet to fail anyone in choosing a place to eat as you two have been to so many restaurants. You swore that Jinchul actually keeps a log of restaurants he's been to, which he writes reviews about. Christopher could see it. He had made small talk with Woo when he picked him up from the airport where he mentioned that if he needed help with restaurants and reservations, he could do it for him or just ask you to do it. He would rather ask your alpha friend than have you do the work in setting things up if he could help it. He used to do most things for you, and he would do it again some way or another.
Eventually, Christopher excused himself to use the restroom while you were finishing up the stir-fried octopus. Instead, he headed towards management and complained about how the hostess made his intended mate upset with the hostess clearly trying to get his attention with you right there. He was clearly taken, and the hostess made it a point to ignore that and you, which shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The rudeness and disrespect was unacceptable at such a high station restaurant. After all the apologies sent his way when the manager recognized who he and you were, especially knowing the whole Sung fiasco since Korea’s media had a field day with it, the manager was horrified and promised to do something about her. He then walked back to you quickly before you wondered what was taking him so long. They better do something about that hostess or he will; and it’ll be a lot worse than her simply losing her job.
You looked up as he came back. You teased him, “You took a while.”
“Oh yeah? Just had to do something really quick.” He smirked at you. Casually ruining someone’s life, but she deserved it for briefly upsetting you on such a special night. If he could help it, no one would mess with you ever again, and if they did, they'd pay for it.
“Hmph…it better not have been to pay the bill.” You eyed him suspiciously.
Your question did take your attention away from him being gone for a while. “No, but I should’ve known to do that now that you mentioned it.” He should’ve paid for it when he was gone. He’s going to provide for you. Your objections would always be turned down. He would turn down your turning him down to pay.
You gawked at him. “What? No. We can split it!” It’s not like he had to pay for everything.
“Absolutely not.”
“I have money to pay for things too, you know!”
“Good for you. You can keep saving it while I provide for everything.”
You let out a strangled noise while simultaneously wanting to laugh at how easily he said that while meaning well and yet still teasing you. You’re grudgingly impressed. “Seriously! I can pay. You’ll just pay for everything in America anyway.”
“At least you’re learning,” he continued teasing you. You stuck out your tongue at him and watched as his gaze darkened at that. “I’m paying, omega. That’s final.” You pouted, but let it go. You knew at that point he wouldn’t let you pay at all. No use arguing about it.
“Fine, fine. Thank you,” you said gratefully. Despite the beginning of the date, you enjoyed your time eating dinner with him.
When the waiter came by, he left the bill, which Christopher quickly snatched up in case you tried something funny. You giggled at that. Before long, Christopher paid the bill, and you two headed back home.
As soon as you got home into your cottage, Christopher was on you, kissing you and feeling along the curves of your body that your pretty red dress highlighted for him. You sighed into the kiss wrapping your arms around him. He broke away to start sucking on your neck.
“Let’s shower first so we can go into my nest.” You gasped as he nipped at your neck.
“Hmmm…if that’s what you want.” The two of you discarded your clothes hurriedly along the way to your bathroom. You put your bracelet on the counter. You giggled as Christopher set up the bath, leaning your naked body against his for a moment before you took the rest of the time for the bath to get ready to wipe off your makeup as Christopher watched you. He picked you up and settled you against him in the water once the bath was ready before he started to wash you.
“I can wash myself,” you teased him, staring up at him, smiling.
“Let me take care of you, omega.” His hands came around to cup your breasts, thumbs brushing against your hardened nipples, and you let out a moan at that, pressing yourself closer to him, loving the feel of his hard naked body against your softer one. He massaged your breasts while sucking on your neck before starting to wash you, much to your pleasure.
Christopher took his time washing you, caressing you and being gentle while scrubbing you, cleaning you. Arousal spiked through you as he rubbed your clit as he washed your pelvic area. He ran his hands soothing through your hair as he washed it, massaging your scalp. You sighed feeling loved as he took care of you. He quickly washed himself after he finished with you and once more began to kiss the spot near the junction between your neck and shoulder where he planned to put his mating bite on you.
“Alpha, wanna be in nest with you,” you said. Your arousal was taking over as your pupils dilated and eyes glowed, showing that your omega was close to the surface. While you were in control still, your omega was right there with you. You reached back to fist his cock, eager to get him into your nest.
Christopher groaned at that before gently grabbing your hand and pulled it away from his cock. “Alright, alright.” But before you got out, he quickly moved his own hand, rubbed a finger against your pussy and plunged it into you, thrusting a few times. You let out a cry in surprise and pleasure. “Let’s get you into your nest.” The smirk he sent you was absolutely smug. You glared at him as he took out his finger and helped you out of the tub to dry yourself off before pulling the tub’s plug to drain the water. While your hair was still slightly wet, your absorbent bed sheets that he had replaced from your other one was actually the one you use for heats to absorb your slick so it doesn’t ruin your sheets and bed. It absorbs anything wet well. You didn’t bother with clothes and went to your nest and got comfortable with Christopher following close behind.
Christopher climbed on top of you and kissed you, pressing himself onto you. You could feel the hard plane of his body. You shivered in delight, feeling and seeing how muscular he was. Such a handsome alpha with the strength and will to protect you and keep you happy. You closed your eyes, raking your nails down his back leaving red marks in your wake. He groaned against your lips at that and thrusted forward showing his delight at you marking him on his back. You gasped feeling how hard his cock was against you. You broke away from the kiss, and he took that opportunity to lean down to take a nipple into his mouth and sucked.
“Alpha, want you.” You keened, opening your eyes to look at him. “Please. Want you, alpha.” You tugged at his hair.
He chuckled darkly as he broke away from your nipple. He moved a hand down to rub against your clit, watching your face twist in pleasure from above you. He could feel how wet you were getting. He thrusted two fingers into you easily thanks to your slick, yet you were still tight around his thick fingers. “So tight, my omega.”
“Haven’t had sex since you,” you finally confessed while thrusting your pussy against his fingers, tightening against them, chasing the pleasure he was giving you. “Wanted to wait until being officially courted. Omega never wanted to.” You gasped out. “I’m only yours.”
Christopher stared down wide-eyed at you, stopping for a moment. The last time you had sex was with him nine years ago. Just like him for you. You really were perfect for him. He moaned at the thought before he started thrusting his fingers again while kissing you, licking your lip for entrance, which you gave, and he shoved his tongue into your mouth trying to devour you. You were his. Only ever been his. You having never taken another even when you could’ve shown that even if you had developed feelings for another, you and your omega still didn’t want him fully, or waited for him. Who the fuck cared? You’ve been a good omega for him whether you knew it or not, and he’d reward you for it. He kept thrusting his fingers into you as he slowly maneuvered you until he was between your legs, never breaking the kiss, where he then yanked out his fingers and lined up his cock at your entrance. You keened again against his lips wanting him inside you.
Christopher pushed his cock into you slowly after breaking the kiss. He didn’t want to hurt you since it’s been so long for both of you. You moaned as he gritted his teeth. There was some discomfort for you like yesterday, but the building pleasure won out. You felt so good, wet and warm around him, and so damn tight. He bottomed out in you, both of you moaning. “So good, (y/n). So fucking good. That’s my omega.” His eyes were dark with desire as he started thrusting harder into you. Your body arched, and you thrusted back against him, hips snapping together, both chasing the pleasure building up in them. Your nails dug into his shoulders, fingers grasping onto him, trying to anchor yourself.
“Chris! Alpha!” You called out his name, letting out high pitched moans. You couldn’t stop moaning, feeling tears of pleasure building up in your eyes threatening to fall. He felt so good inside of you, your walls molding to the shape of his cock as it slid deliciously in you. So perfect for you.
You let go of his shoulders as Christopher manhandled you to throw your legs over his shoulders instead and folded you into a mating press, thrusting faster, and grinding harder every time he bottomed out in you. “Mine, my omega,” he gasped out as he kept thrusting into you, “mine!”. You kept your legs over his shoulders as he managed to reach down with one hand and rubbed circles on your clit earning him a higher pitched moan without ceasing his thrusts. He panted as your walls tightened again around his cock. Fuck. You felt so good; he doesn’t know if he could last much longer. He leaned back up causing you to keen at him, legs lowering by the sides of his hips again. “Squeeze, omega,” he ordered as he grasped your hips with both hands, lifted your bottom, and thrusted hard into you, pounding into you relentlessly.
You let out a wail at that, you purposefully tightening your pussy around his cock, dizzy with pleasure as the new position had his cock hitting your g-spot every time. “Just like that, alpha. Please, please, please, alpha, come inside,” you babbled, begging him. You could barely think, so cockdrunk, so much pleasure. “Need your knot. Wanna be your mate! Please, please! Love you, love you!”
Christopher roared as his knot began to swell. Your begging doing him in. You shrieked as he gave a final thrust, his knot locking you two together, his seed spilling into your womb as he dove down to your neck and bit you, canines drawing blood, and finally claimed you as his mate, his alpha roaring with triumph in him. You sobbed as you could feel a rush of pleasure coursing through you causing you to squirt all over his abdomen. He detached his teeth from your neck, licking it to soothe the area causing you to moan. He leaned on you but made sure he wasn’t crushing you, wanting to feel his new mate against his form. He rumbled to calm you down as you stopped your pleasured cries.
You suddenly leaned forward and bit his neck in the same spot he did with you, but on him, and he moaned. “There you go, omega.” Even if you didn’t need to mark him for you to be his mate, he thought it was adorable how you wanted to mark him back. Always so cute, his little mate. Both him and his alpha were in ecstasy. “Mate, my mate.” He moved the two of you to a more comfortable position, so you were laying on him while you two waited for his knot to die down.
“Mate, my mate,” you and your omega repeated his words together, voices mixing, nuzzling into him as much as you could. His arms trapped you to him, coiling around you like a boa constrictor that didn’t want to let go. The two of you laid in your nest, basking in the afterglow of having mated. At last, Christopher’s knot softened, and he pulled out of you. You whined, missing his cock inside of you, as his cum dripped out of you. He chuckled at that and gave you a sweet kiss.
Christopher did his aftercare for you, cleaning himself up before going back to your nest to clean you up. After he finished, he crawled into the nest and settled next to you, locking you in his embrace, skin to skin, scenting you even though you already smelled excessively like him thanks to your mating, his seed marking you inside, and his mating bite that poured his essence into your very being. You were one now. “I love you, my mate,” he crooned to you. “My precious omega. My pretty mate.” He was beyond happy at that moment. He had been dreaming of mating with you for over ten years, and it was finally a reality. You were officially his mate. Officially his omega. He buried his face to where his mating mark on you was, holding onto you like a lifeline, tears on his lashes. You were finally going to be with him forever, and no one could take you away as long as he’s able to protect you. He could have you for the rest of his life. You were finally all his. His adorable mate. There was no one better for him than you. Only you. His little mate. His life, his heart, his everything.
“I love you too, my alpha,” you chirped. “My mate,” you purred. Nothing compared to this moment having your alpha claim you. Nothing. You ran a hand through his hair hearing his rumble in response, your heart so full. You don’t think you were ever this happy in your life. The two of you fell asleep, curled together. And for the first time in a while, you dreamt a happy dream feeling safe and loved thanks to your beloved mate.

You arrived at the White Tiger’s guild headquarters. It was a large building that easily rivaled the Hunter Association’s own headquarters. You led Christopher through the front doors, and you made a beeline to the front desk.
“Hello!” You said, waving at the front desk attendant: a beta whose name was Dohyun. “Is Yoonho-sunbae in today?”
“Hunter Go!” He perked up at seeing you. Nearly everyone at the White Tiger’s guild liked you. You were friends with their guild master, and you were always kind to them befitting a good healer’s bedside manners. They’d often see you as a group of five (Yoonho, Minseo, Byung-Gyu, Jiyeon, and you) before becoming a four after Min died, and even before that, Eunseok would hang out sometimes with you all before he also died. “Yes, guildmaster Baek is in today. He should be in his office, and if not, he’ll be in one of the training rooms. Hunter Choi was also here but I’m not sure if he still is. Take care, Hunter Go.”
“Thanks, Dohyun! You take care too!” You tugged Christopher towards the elevator. You’d check Baek’s office first then if Choi was here. The two would still be there. You waved at a couple guild members, all alphas, who were in the lobby who waved back enthusiastically, each of them eyeing Christopher. Everyone has heard the news that you were paired with him for the experiment, and this was the first public appearance together since the news broke out. Everyone was curious about the situation and itching to find out the truth.
“You’re popular here,” said Christopher, having watched it all. He wasn’t particularly happy with how much attention you were getting from other alphas even if they gave you both a wide berth. He walked close to you and kept an eye out for any trouble.
“Yeah. I’m friends with their guildmaster and his mate. I got that younger sister vibe down to a T here. Also, I’ve healed a bunch of them, so that helps too,” you said as the two of you entered the empty elevator and pressed the button for Baek’s office floor. “But it’s really cuz I’m awesome too, you know.” He rumbled, amused, and used his wrist scent gland to affectionately rub more of his scent on the back of your neck, and you chirped happily in response.
The elevator door opened and you exited heading to Baek’s office where you heard some loud noises. Looks like Choi was still here. Those two were incredibly loud and chaotic together. Your attention turned to Christopher who stopped at hearing the commotion and hurriedly grabbed you firmly and placed himself between you and the noises, tensing up, not letting you walk closer to the noises.
“Chris, it’s okay. It’s just Choi bothering Yoonho-sunbae. They’re both relatively harmless despite the arguments.” You rubbed his back, letting out a little of your scent to try to calm him down. “Let’s go see them. In any case, I doubt they’ll do anything with a national hunter breathing down their necks.” Christopher stared over his shoulder down at you with his eyes glowing, his alpha near to the surface, but Christopher remained in control in case he needed to protect you. “It's okay. Please trust me.” At that, he slowly began to relax.
“Alright, but if something happens, they’ll only have themselves to blame.” He knew this damn field trip was a terrible idea. He scowled before wiping it off his face as you started to frown.
“I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work, but I suppose that’s the best I’m going to get.” You said, and he shrugged. His eyes stopped glowing as his alpha retreated, and he placed a hand on your low back and gently guided you to the door with the most noise coming from behind it, placing himself in front of you before knocking. You just opened the door like you usually do whenever you have free time to bother Baek at his job and lightly pushed Christopher to go in.
From behind Christopher, you could see Baek behind his desk with his hands flat on it, standing, while Choi stood in front of his desk with his arms crossed. The two looked like deers in the headlights when seeing Christopher Reed in front of them. No one said anything for a moment before Christopher walked further into the office with you following in after him.
“Hi Yoonho-sunbae! Hi Choi.” You greeted them, popping out from behind Christopher so they could see you. You always sounded more enthusiastic greeting Baek than Choi much to Baek’s glee and Choi’s chagrin. Christopher used a hand to keep you behind him in case something went wrong, his paranoia spiraling.
“(Y/n), there you are! And Mr. Reed, nice to meet you. My name is Baek Yoonho.” You appreciated Baek greeting Christopher in English even if his accent was still horrible. Min had been the better English speaker of the two, you thought wistfully.
Baek looked happy to see you while Choi looked reserved. Choi’s been watching Reed since you both came in and what he saw had him anxious. The predatory look in Reed’s eyes was disturbing. Like one wrong move and he’d attack.
“It’s fine. I speak Korean,” Christopher said in Korean causing you to almost get whiplash at how fast you snapped your head up to face him. He smiled cheekily down at you before looking at Baek wiping the smile off his face. “It’s nice to meet you too.” Not at all, but he's here for you so might as well be polite right now even if he felt like hunting them. He didn’t need you to be upset again like this morning.
“Since when could you speak Korean?” You were flabbergasted. You spent this whole time speaking in English and the guy could speak Korean. You gaped at him.
“Since I spent a lot of time at home and forced Jordan to help me learn if he wanted to keep coming to my mansion,” Christopher answered. You made a sound of acknowledgment. That made sense. Even you knew Jordy would do it too to keep hanging out with Christopher. Those two could definitely be Shrek and Donkey sometimes. You guess that’d make you Princess Fiona. “Sean also helped.” That also made sense.
The two of you turned to Choi when he introduced himself. “I’m Choi Jongin. I’m Korea’s alpha representative for the experiment.” He tried to shrug off a creeping dreadful feeling going down his spine at Reed’s intense stare. It was uncomfortable and made him want to run. This was a national hunter who wasn’t to be messed around with. How did you even get yourself involved with a national hunter? And why did you look so comfortable with him already? As far as he knew, you two were the only confirmed pairing from the experiment. Why was that?
You were at least satisfied that Christopher was trying. You'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed by expectations nowadays. You didn’t want another disaster like what happened at breakfast. You also rather not play the isolation game with Christopher either. You’re going to have your own friends, and he’d just have to deal with it without ruining their lives or killing them. So with that, you pressed up against Christopher’s back knowing he wouldn’t move unless you were in immediate danger, which means he would hopefully not attack. Still gotta do what you gotta do. “Grandpa said you were asking about me. Everything alright?”
Baek suddenly looked serious, eyes observing the way you acted with Reed, seeing the closeness between you. “I was wondering if you and Reed were alright with what’s happening.” His eyes continued examining Reed and you before continuing. “My Miseon-a has been worried despite your text messages trying to reassure her. Jiyeon-a was ready to go to your house yesterday before we convinced her not to.” You thanked whatever god was out there that she didn’t. Christopher wouldn’t have taken kindly to it if that did happen no matter who it was.
“You can tell unnie that we’re fine! We get along great, and things are going really well.” You beamed at them, hands now clinging to the back of Christopher’s shirt as if by doing so, you could hold him back. You saw the way Choi started looking uncomfortable, and you could easily guess why. You were praying Christopher wouldn’t start anything.
“That’s good to hear.” Baek looked relieved seeing how happy you looked. When he and Miseon first heard the news, both panicked. They couldn’t believe what they were hearing; hardly anyone could. That day his guild was in an uproar as many liked you and wondered if you were okay especially after the whole Sung fiasco and now being selected as Korea’s omega representative in an experiment. Then he saw you being carried out by Reed two days later without acknowledging anyone which made him and Miseon even more worried. But looking at you right now, you seemed fine, great even. Then Choi made a mistake.
“We were worried about you,” Choi said, taking a step closer to you.
That’s when both Baek and Choi saw it, making them tense up. That sneering smile that started spreading across Reed’s face as soon as Choi stepped closer to the both of you looked wrong. Reed remained silent, standing still and tall like a wall to keep you separated from the two alphas in front of you, shielding you. While he was slightly more at ease with Baek due to him being a close friend of yours and already mated to another close friend of yours, he leered at the other alpha, eyes glowing blue, his inner alpha growling at the unmated alpha. MY OMEGA. MINE. STAY AWAY. Choi quickly backed up a few steps and even Baek took a step back, their faces paling, eyes not leaving Reed’s form.
You yanked on his shirt feeling a bit apprehensive. “They’re not going to do anything to me.” You wished Choi didn’t step forward, but he wouldn’t have known not to so you don’t begrudge him for triggering your alpha. Christopher already hated alphas and omegas to an obnoxious degree, but he especially hated the unmated alphas the most. They were the most likely ones to try to kill either of you in hopes of destroying the mating bond to try their luck in claiming the one they wanted. Christopher didn’t even look at you, too busy trying to judge their threat levels and how to best protect you. That had the other two alphas looking offended. “I’m sorry. He’s just really protective of me.” You looked apologetically at them. You weren’t about to tell them your mate-to-be was more than a little demented and who hated alphas and omegas immensely, even preferring to work with betas as much as possible if he had to work with anyone. Typically, they were the least threatening to him and you growing up: like Jordy, Sean, and Julia. Christopher, Jordan, and Sean cowed the rest of the baseball team who were mostly made up of alphas, in helping keep watch over you, especially after Christopher and Jordan graduated, so they were mostly tolerated by Christopher who typically hated when alphas talked to you. The team had helped Sean and Julia watch over you.
Watching Christopher, you were worried because you could tell that his paranoia against other alphas spiked at seeing Choi in particular as an unmated alpha move closer.
“I’m surprised at how close the two of you are.” Choi was weary, and he exchanged a glance with Baek at the dangerous situation they somehow found themselves in. He and Baek knew that you occasionally got into some troublesome situations, but this one might actually take the whole damn cake. This was ridiculous. He didn’t know what to say that wouldn’t be like poking a bear. A very powerful and murderous bear that could easily kill everyone in the building.
You finally let go of Christopher’s shirt to headbutt him hard as a last resort, and then grumbled after hurting your forehead on his very sexy muscular back. Hearing your grumbling, he quickly turned to you and looked at your forehead. “Why would you do that?” He frowned looking at the redness, gently running his thumb over it. The tension lessened as Christopher fussed over you even if he was still monitoring the other two alphas in the room.
“I wanted your attention,” you said simply. It wasn’t your fault you needed to go to more extreme measures to try to curb Christopher from doing something crazy. You knew he did something that you couldn’t see by your friends’ reactions. And you could heal yourself right up, so you didn’t particularly care. It was just you head butting Christopher anyway even if you got hurt a little. You’d worry if it wasn’t Christopher you were doing it to.
“Just keen at me next time.” He was exasperated. You getting hurt in any way should be off limits. Way off-limits. You just gave a soft giggle, trying to act cute so he’d relax more. At the rate he’s going, he might start a fight. That would be very bad. You grabbed a hold of the back of his shirt as he faced them again. He wasn’t going to let them see his open back for long.
Baek and Choi watched in disbelief as the alpha who seemed close to attacking them suddenly hovered over you, trying to make sure that you were okay. The change from murderous to worried in the blink of an eye was tripping them out.
“But to answer your implicit question, Choi, Chris and I knew each other years ago when I was still in the US with my parents. We only recently got back in contact when he arrived in Korea,” you answered him, quickly healing your forehead as Christopher’s frown deepened at the irritated skin. He only lightened up when you fully healed yourself.
The story of your family dying in a dungeon break was known to many Koreans as people learned more about your grandfather’s personal life that then sometimes extended to reporters and such trying to find out about your personal life.
“How fortunate to end up together after all this time,” said Baek, exchanging another look with Choi. The fact the both of them kept being on the same wavelength regarding Reed was worrying. It was entirely too convenient, especially thinking of the danger Reed had just posed before you did something to get his attention. Yet, looking at the two of you, the experiment seemed to have worked out extraordinarily well. You looked a lot happier than they’ve seen you in a while. But something still felt off. Mostly Reed. He was definitely off. There was something so obviously wrong with him it was jarring to see you be the one for him. His reaction towards them was like an alpha having already marked his territory and was telling everyone to back the fuck off away from his omega or die. Neither wanted to open their mouths about it though with the possible threat of him. That sneering smile he gave to them was freaky, much less subjecting them to his derisive leering. Baek knew Miseon was going to freak out. He wanted to freak out.
You laughed rather nervously at Baek’s response while Christopher smirked. “Yes, how fortunate,” Christopher drawled out. That didn’t reassure anyone. He kept quiet on what he did to obtain you; however, as he looked down at the pleading look in your eyes begging him not to reveal that tidbit.
To try to salvage the situation, you spoke, “Fortunately, I’m happy I ended up with Chris. He’s a great alpha. I’ve been over Sung for a while now, and I am better off for it.” That cheered your alpha up somewhat, his smirk turned into more of a smile as you praised him, and had the other two men look at you softly.
Baek knew more than Choi how much of a mess you were when the news broke about Sung and Cha. You didn’t even hear about it from Sung; you found out because they got caught going on a date. That caused an uproar among everyone, especially among those you knew. All of you were still mourning Byung-Gyu and dealing with your PTSD when everything came out. Baek, Miseon, and Jiyeon had experience from helping Min after Eunseok died causing him PTSD, and so took it upon themselves to help you through it with support from Chairman Go and Jinchul. You mostly dealt with waking up screaming thinking you or a loved one died like you did last night. Then the last raid you went on, you froze and almost died because of it but didn’t thanks to Baek’s quick actions, which ultimately caused you to be pulled out of the field and only work after the gates were completed. You then started treatment and were doing well with it until you were humiliated.
You often act childish unconsciously trying to compensate for your trauma when under extreme stress even more than you normally do. Your teenage years with Christopher before the gates made you feel the safest, so you sometimes reverted back to a more childish self to feel safe. Since Christopher has been back in your life, you felt safe again, so you’ve been feeling more secure and seemed to progress back to before your feelings of humiliation took over, which had originally set you back, though you still act childish every now and then. Maybe that’s why Sung left you for someone who could actually fight rather than heal, that wasn’t so mentally fucked up now that he didn’t need you to help him. At least you have Christopher now who was more than thrilled to take care of you, loving the fact that you needed him as much as you did.
What Sung did was one of the worst ways to insult an omega by an alpha: going behind their back as an intended mate to be with someone else. It was a way to tell the omega that they were worthless so they deserved to have their intended seek out another to satisfy them. Baek didn’t expect to ever see Jinchul that angry, but your best friend was glacial in his anger, and Chairman Go was forced to ask someone else to help Sung and Cha for Hunter Association’s bureaucratic business because Jinchul could not calm down enough to act professionally towards them. The Chairman was also angry, but he needed to think about Korea first and foremost. Baek didn’t blame either of them. He, himself, was angry at Sung and Cha along with what seemed like three-fourths of South Korea’s general public, especially the omega population. Omegas knew the significance of what you offered Sung and what his promise back to you should have meant. It was the pre-courting phase since he made a promise to try regardless if the courting itself like dating had yet to happen, you two were still exclusive. It almost started a riot by unmated omegas around Korea airing grievances against unmated alphas, feeling for your plight, when the truth slowly trickled out. People wondered if you’d suffer an omega drop or not. His Miseon even cried some nights feeling terrified, not knowing if she’d wake up to you in the hospital dying, and because of that, it only made him even more upset with Sung and Cha. It would’ve been understandable if Sung had a conversation between you two to discuss not going ahead with the intended courtship as he wanted to be with Cha, but he went behind your back instead. He betrayed you. You deserved better than what they put you through. Baek hoped that Reed would treat you like you deserved.
Cha’s unrepentant attitude when it was revealed she kept pursuing Sung when she knew of your promises together had her reputation tanking significantly. Even when she kept explaining that she thought she imprinted on Sung and that he was her soulmate, everyone thought it was bollocks since no alpha has ever imprinted on another alpha as far as history goes; many viewing her as the other woman who went for a taken man much to her dismay. People trusted her to protect them but unmated omegas didn’t trust her to be anywhere near their intended mates leading to their alphas disliking Cha and Sung too as to protect their omegas’ emotional states. Even her own guildmates were finding it hard to be around her recently.
It was the same for Sung except he was seen as the backstabber. They trusted him to be strong enough to fight high-ranking monsters but personally, he wasn’t seen in a good light. First Min Byung-Gyu died in Jeju when Sung revealed he could’ve shown up earlier, and maybe they wouldn’t have lost him if he did, then his humiliation of the only other S-Rank healer who was well-liked by hunters and the general population alike. The rumor mill went wild at that. The only two S-Rank healers suffered because of him. He’s kept out of the public’s eye as much as possible since k-net started exploding with discussions involving you, him or both. Frankly, it was all a mess. You definitely weren’t going to miss any of that drama when you moved at least.
“That’s good. I’m really happy for you,” Baek said, sincerely. After everything you’ve been through, maybe this was a good thing for you. Reed gave him chills, but the little he saw of the two of you showed that at the very least, Reed cared very much for you. Maybe too much, but you seemed like you had somewhat of a handle on the situation. “You deserve better than what happened to you. Isn’t that right, Choi?” He added.
“Of course. We’re very happy to hear it.” Choi was glad that you seemed like you were doing better. He sometimes didn’t know how to feel about the situation between you, Sung, and Haein. Haein was his vice-guild master, and he had gotten to know her as a friend, which was why he was shocked by her behavior. She was a good person and someone he knew he could rely on. Perhaps it was because she kept insisting Jinwoo was meant for her and that she imprinted on him since he didn’t smell terrible to her, even pleasantly smelling, unlike everyone else that she simply didn’t think of the consequences. He listened to her rant about how you and Jinwoo weren’t even courting even if there was a promise to eventually try, which to omegas, was as good as being exclusive until a new conversation began to become non-exclusive or to break it all off. She wasn’t an omega nor had any close friends who were so she didn’t understand it, and Choi knew no matter how he’d explain the situation on why people were upset to her, Haein wouldn’t listen feeling like he was taking your side over hers. It’s the same argument every time. Choi had yet to tell his vice guild master that he needed her to understand that the Hunter’s guild was also suffering because of her ruined reputation. He didn’t want to take sides, but he wanted her to understand that at the very least.
You were such a sweet omega as well that Choi didn’t understand why they went behind your back rather than be upfront about it. Now, with your upcoming departure to America, Korea will no longer have any S-Rank healers, and that was causing more hate with conspiracy theorists thinking that the alpha couple was the reason you were being chased out of Korea in a bid to keep ahold of two powerful alphas. Many would have supported Sung and Haein’s relationship including himself if only they weren’t so stupid with how it went down. Choi did care about you. He had gotten to know you throughout the years, especially after last year’s failed third Jeju raid when you, Baek, and Min lost Eunseok. So he was genuinely happy to see you looking much happier than you had in a long while.
“So do you think things will work out between the two of you?” Baek asked the question that haunted him and his Miseon the last few nights. Apparently, he’s going to be reporting back a lot to his mate and her best friend.
Before you could say anything, Christopher spoke, “We’ll work out. She’ll definitely become my mate.” What they didn’t know was that it was going to happen sooner rather than later. As in he will do it tonight no matter what just like you wanted. He felt agitated having you near alphas while unmated, and he was going to fix that. He’d fix his mistake of having let you go at all in the first place. He should’ve mated you back then and kept you with him in America, your grandfather be damned. Christopher thought he could handle it, but this felt even worse than it did when he was a teenager. His alpha bristled at all the alphas you’ve been near since you arrived at the White Tiger’s headquarters and how many of them smiled and waved at you. You were his. His little mate. And it needs to happen sooner the better before he killed all the alphas in his sight for daring to bask in your presence especially with you not mated to him. Either way, you two would be able to deal with any fallout for mating within days of being together because by then it’d be too late for anyone to rip you away from him to his self-satisfaction. He’d protect you from it all. He’d never let you go again. Ever.
You smiled at the answer, wrapping your arms around one of his, nodding. “Yup. Chris is going to be my mate,” you chirped out. Baek looked taken aback at hearing you chirp, and that you essentially confirmed that you will mate with Reed. You haven't chirped around them since Byung-Gyu died and only rarely around your grandfather or Jinchul. Both alphas noticeably relaxed themselves despite how sharply Reed leered at them still. If you were happy enough to start chirping again, you must be doing a lot better than they thought even if your intended mate had something clearly wrong with him. “How are you holding up about it, Choi?”
“It is what it is. Hopefully whoever my omega partner will be, I hope to have a good relationship with them like you two do,” Choi said. He would do his duty for South Korea just like you were. Although, it would be nice to have a good relationship with the omega he’ll be with and maybe even mate with them like you intended to do with Reed.
You laughed rather nervously again thinking about your unhinged alpha and how much normal people wouldn’t accept his craziness and all that entailed causing Choi to raise an eyebrow as Christopher coughed to hide his own laugh knowing exactly what you were thinking before going back to leering at them. Yeah, you don’t think Choi’s omega would want anything like your relationship with Christopher especially since both parties were well aware of the unhinged alpha in the relationship even if it’s a good relationship. “Hopefully it will go well, and it’ll be how you want it!” You offered Choi a kind smile who smiled back. You were lucky that Christopher’s crazy tendencies worked in your favor this time so you didn’t end up with an alpha you wouldn’t be happy with. You know you would be very happy with Christopher, and now you didn’t want to know what a life would’ve been like with another alpha. The thought sent shivers down your spine.
“So we’ll see you near the end of the month to head to America then,” said Christopher, his hands in his pockets, fists clenching and unclenching repeatedly. He was tired of you being around other alphas and wanted you back home holed up in your nest with him. He definitely didn’t want you making more conversations then you needed to with the unmated mage hunter. Their scent was even starting to get on you and him due to being in close quarters together. It was faint compared to his scent on you and vice versa; but he didn’t like it at all. His patience in dealing with your friends was rapidly declining. He’d never let you go out again without him if this was how he was going to feel about it. He doesn’t want to imagine you being out alone without him near even if you two were already mated. Your physical capability couldn't hold up against higher ranked alphas, and it made Christopher paranoid for your safety. Locking you up was starting to sound better and better even if you didn’t want him to.
“Yes, that’s the plan. Are you both leaving now?” Choi asked. The dangerous feeling was coming back, and so he wisely took another step away from you and Reed.
You looked at Christopher seeing his patience dwindling fast with the way he shoved his hands into his pocket, but you could see and feel movement since your arms were still wrapped around one of his. He was trying not to lash out. “Yeah, I think alpha and I should be going. We have plans for later today! It was good seeing you guys. And Yoonho-sunbae, tell my unnies I’ll get back to them via our group chat in a couple days if I don’t get back to them sooner. I’ll be spending time with my alpha, and I want to focus on him.”
Baek and Choi froze, staring at you wide-eyed at what you called Reed. In unison, they turned their attention to Reed seeing a smug smirk on his face with Reed reveling in your Freudian slip in front of your friends. It was cute that you didn’t even realize it either that you used Reed’s title as your alpha to try to calm him down. It’s one thing for you to say it in front of your grandfather and his chief inspector who Reed now knew was your best friend from your talks, and a whole different thing to say it in front of others.
Baek swallowed hard, mouth going a bit dry. He’d known you for almost seven years and not once had you ever called anyone alpha as a designated title like a mate or intended mate would, not even with Sung who you chased after for three years. While he knew you two knew each other previously, what in the hell was your relationship with Reed that was making it evolve so quickly? There was something he was missing about the situation. Why did you call Reed alpha already when you just got back into contact only yesterday? Why did you already see him as your intended mate enough to use his second gender’s designation? “Alright, okay, yeah,” he stuttered before getting a grip over himself, “I’ll tell my Miseon-a to give you several days to spend time with Reed and not to worry if you’re not replying. Thanks for coming by to see me to let me know how you’ve been.”
“Of course, of course!” You chirped out. You were glad to see Baek and even Choi. Despite how Christopher was acting, you were glad you got to introduce him to two more of your friends. “We’ll be going now. See you guys later!” You waved at them goodbye, smiling. While you normally would give them a hug goodbye, Christopher would’ve absolutely lost his shit if you did, so better not tempt fate. You had gambled with her enough for one day. They waved back as Christopher dragged you out the door with a curt goodbye all but slamming the door behind him.
Inside Baek’s office, Choi looked at Baek who looked back at him like he saw a ghost. Choi knew he looked the same way. Anxious. “What even was that? It felt like he was seconds away from murdering us, especially me! And then she calls him her alpha?!” Even Choi knew the significance of that especially coming from you of all omegas.
“I don’t know,” answered Baek, eyes turning to stare at his closed door, frowning, brows furrowed. “Whatever is happening, it’s not normal.” He hoped you knew what you were doing.
Outside, the two of you headed for the elevator. Christopher’s full agitation finally revealed itself to you. “We’re going home,” he stated, flatly, “and we’re going to stay there until our date tonight. I messaged that friend of yours earlier to set up a reservation for us.”
“You asked Jinchul to make a reservation?” You were actually amused at that one. At least your bestie would recommend the best places to eat. “Which restaurant is it?”
“The gourmet seafood one. Your friend said you’d know the place I’m talking about. We need to be ready in three hours.”
“Of course you would.”
“Be happy I behaved myself today.” To an extent, he did behave. Neither one of your friends had their lives ruined or died. What a miracle.
“As if you weren’t being threatening in there! Or this morning!”
“But I didn’t actually threaten anyone nor did anyone die.” Christopher ignored you mentioning this morning. Your grandfather shouldn’t have given him those dirty looks to begin with. And he was being petty so the logical thing to do was to be petty back. You gawked at him for that one.
Now in the elevator, Christopher quickly hugged you and scented you in hopes of getting rid of some of the smells that weren't him that were starting to get on you. You just let him do it knowing it’ll help him feel a little better. Once the elevator door opened to the lobby, he swiftly led you out and rushed you to your parked car. He just wanted you home where he knew you’d be safe and where it’d be easier to guard you. Within minutes, he was buckling the both of you in and driving off.
It didn’t take long for you two to arrive back at your home. Your grandfather would probably be working all night again. You sighed. Ever since the experiment was announced, your grandfather was constantly on calls with other chairmen and sleeping on the couch in his office until early morning where he’d come home for a shower and breakfast.
You dropped your purse onto your coffee table and flopped down on your couch. You didn’t want to lie in your nest without a shower and since you weren’t going to shower yet, the couch it was. Christopher just picked you up, and slid under you onto the couch, before placing you back on him like yesterday. He wrapped his arms around you like shackles. You placed your chin on your stacked hands that were resting on his chest and stared up at him.
“Feeling better?”
“Yes.”
“Thanks for not attacking my friends.” You were worried when Choi and Baek backed away. They probably didn’t even notice that they paled, having been too busy watching the predator in front of them and fighting the urge to flee, but you saw their reactions. An averted fight was a win for you.
Christopher clicked his tongue. “I don’t need to be kicked out of Korea while you’re still here.” Your grandfather basically dared him to cause trouble with your friend’s guild. He wouldn’t give your old man the satisfaction of getting him thrown out of the country away from you. He wasn’t sure if they’d take you away from him because of the experiment if he didn’t get a chance to mark you as his mate first. He'd attempt to kill them all if that happened but he wouldn’t have to worry about that soon enough.
You smiled at him. “Still, thank you.” One of Christopher’s hand came up and released your hair from its ponytail before running it through your strands, brushing your hair with his fingers. You started purring, eyes closing at the gentle feeling. He rumbled in return watching you relax in his arms.
You then pushed yourself up a little, and Christopher allowed you some space to move. You crawled up a bit so you could kiss him, pressing your lips to his, closing your eyes. His hand tightened slightly around a fistful of hair and pushed you down to add more pressure as he opened his mouth with you following his lead so he could slip his tongue into your mouth. You don’t know how long you kissed but eventually you broke away to move to bury your face into his neck and suckled at his scent gland, wanting to smell more of him. You adored his sandalwood scent. It was a lovely complement to your own lavender scent. You mouthed at it, licking and sucking. Christopher tilted his head to give you easier access to his neck, closing his eyes feeling blissed out. You finished leaving your own mark and laid yourself flushed against him, purring in a scent high. He rumbled as his arms once more locked you in his embrace, eyes glazed as he opened his eyes and took in your smaller form resting on him. He just wanted to hold you forever, tear open his chest and drag you into his heart, so you’d never leave. After tonight, you were not going to go anywhere, and you would stay with him forever. You two laid there for some time before Christopher told you, “Let’s get ready for tonight, my omega. It’s time to start getting what you want.”

You woke up, yawning, when your alarm went off. You actually had a good night’s sleep for once. You blinked and looked to your side and almost screamed. You held a hand to your chest. “Don’t do that.”
Christopher snorted. He had been watching you sleep for a little while as he woke up half an hour before you did. He had gotten ready in the bathroom as quietly as he could before getting back into your nest and watched you sleep for a little bit. He reached out and tugged you right into his arms. He shoved his face into your neck and licked his mating mark on you. You tangled your hand in his hair and held him tighter to you, giggling at him still being so enamored with his mark on you. The two of you stayed like that for a while. “Don’t wanna get up for breakfast,” he grumbled, voice still low and raspy from sleep. “Wanna stay here with my pretty mate.”
“Me neither, but I have to go to breakfast and break the news to my grandfather.” You weren’t looking forward to it. You had no idea how he’d react to your mating - he’d either get extremely mad or you give him a heart attack, either way you were anxious. You understood that you mating with Christopher within two days would cause an uproar among probably everyone; it definitely would with your grandfather and your friends. It wasn’t something you could take back, not that you wanted to, but it’s going to set off a shitstorm that you had no choice but to endure. You sighed, feeling a pit in your stomach. You took your hand away and pushed him lightly making him groan.
“Fine.” Christopher let you go but stayed in your nest, watching as you got ready to see your grandfather. “Did you want me to go with you?”
You glance back at him as you put a off-the shoulder dark blue dress that went down to your knees with your mating mark completely on display. Might as well rip the bandaid off when seeing your grandfather. “Did you want to come?”
“No,” Christopher quickly replied, “but could you bring back breakfast if your grandfather doesn’t come storming in here trying to kill me?”
“Christopher Isaac Reed!”
“What? It could happen.” Why the full name? Christopher did not like it when you used his full name. In any case, he honestly wouldn’t put it past your grandfather to fight him. He did just officially claim you meaning there’s no getting rid of him anymore, but Christopher knew that your grandfather might still actually try. He snickered at the thought. Yeah, there’s no separating you from him now.
“Yeah, but no need to manifest it,” you whined. You marched yourself into the bathroom and got ready to go as you heard Christopher laughing in your nest.
“Come here,” he told you as you came out of the bathroom. Christopher knew you were anxious. He sat at the edge of the bed and held his arms out. You slid onto his lap, arms around his neck as he embraced you. He kissed you slowly, gently, quietly telling you things would be alright. Christopher still couldn't believe that you were his mate. “Mate, mine,” he crooned as he broke the kiss to nuzzle his cheek against your cheek.
“Mate,” you purred back. You closed your eyes and relaxed in his hold. You were still very worried about how your grandfather would react. You wanted him to be happy for you, but you knew he didn’t like Christopher at all. Most people who knew Christopher eventually felt uncomfortable because of how off-putting he could be, especially when he would reveal more of how unstable he was. Jordan had always ignored how crazy Christopher was, and Sean, well, your dear old male bestie was crazy too. Jordan also ignored how crazy Sean was and every now and then Christopher got a kick out of it. They made one hell of a trio - two crazies and an enabler. You remember joking with Julia that those three would eventually wreck havoc on the world. Since Julia was still with Sean, you wouldn’t be surprised if he rubbed off on her. You knew your teenage best girl friend also had it in her to be crazy too but she hid it much better. Your insane close teenage friend group. No wonder the insanity of it all didn’t bother you too much.
You knew your grandfather and your friends in Korea would be worried for you because of how fast you were moving in your relationship. You didn’t doubt that some would think that you were trying to get over Sung, but you’ve been over him for a while. You felt hurt and traumatized about a lot of things including about the betrayal, but you didn’t carry feelings for him anymore. That’s why when Christopher came back, you knew you could give your whole heart to him without any doubt. “You know I love you, right? That I’m not using you to get over Hunter Sung.”
“Of course I know you love me, pretty girl.” Christopher rocked you back and forth knowing that you loved it when he did so. “He was the rebound, not me.” He chuffed. His cockiness made you laugh. He smiled at your laughter. He gave you another kiss before you got up. “I love you, my mate.” And he did. Sucked for everyone who wanted to be with you or tried to keep him away from you and vice versa. It wasn’t going to happen now. You were his mate, he and his alpha chuffed again, exceedingly pleased.
“I love you too, my mate.” You then sighed again. “Well, time to face the music.” You wanted to drag your feet but knew you shouldn’t. The sooner you tell your grandfather the better. If he knew you put off not telling him, he’d be more hurt than if you were honest to begin with.
“I’ll be right here if you need me, omega. Just scream and I’ll come running.”
You deadpanned. “My grandfather won’t hurt me, silly alpha.” You knew where his thought process went. His paranoia was ridiculous. He smirked at you.
“Just saying, pretty omega. Emotionally counts too,” he teased you, trying to make you relaxed by being himself, but also meant it. If he heard something coming from the main house, he’d go ahead and interrupt you two.
“Uh huh. Sure…” You narrowed your eyes at him knowing he’d come looking for you should anything go wrong. And wrong was whatever he thought it was for you. His smirk turned more devious. He often did know what you were thinking much to your benefit most of the time, but sometimes you wished you weren’t so predictable to him. You pouted. “Hmph!” You turned your head away to his amusement, but it seemed like it helped you. “Alright, heading out. Love you, my handsome mate.” You turned back and gave him a quick kiss.
“Love you too, my pretty mate!”
You smiled at him before walking out and headed to the main house. As you stood in front of the back door, you stopped abruptly. “Oh shit,” you whispered. Jinchul was there too; you could hear him talking to your grandfather. “Fuck me. I just got a double whammy.” You felt like crying and turning back to snuggle with Christopher in your nest. You took a deep breath and walked into the main house. “Here goes nothing.”
“Good morning, grandpa, Jinchul,” you said as you got to the dining table.
Jinchul looked up from his conversation with your grandfather from where he was standing next to him who was sitting at the dining table, and Jinchul promptly dropped all the papers in his hands. He stared unblinking at your mating mark, at all the hickeys decorating your neck, and didn’t say a word. Your grandfather, wondering at Jinchul’s reaction, turned to you, and nearly exploded. “What happened? What did you do, (y/n)?” He cried out, jumping out of his chair, rushing to you. Gunhee looked horrified as he grabbed onto your shoulders and examined your mating mark and how marked up your neck was. This was what you must’ve been hiding yesterday. “Did he force you into it? I’m going to kill him.” He let you go and began to storm towards the back door.
“Wait, grandpa, no! Let me explain!” You rushed to stop him. How the fuck does Chris know what’s going to happen sometimes? You cried in your mind, your omega panicking as much as you were, as you grabbed onto your grandfather and tried to stop him from getting to your mate. “I agreed to be mated. I wanted to be mated!” You exclaimed.
Gunhee whirled around. “Explain, now!” You didn’t think you'd ever seen your grandfather that mad. Jinchul still hasn’t said a word or moved from his spot. He was in so much shock that he just froze and couldn’t compute what was going on besides that you were now mated. His best friend was mated to the craziness that was Christopher Reed. What the hell? You didn’t even bother with the trial of getting to know him. Jinchul had been researching everything he could about Christopher Reed, and there were some extreme red flags that popped up that he wanted to talk to you about, but now…
You sputtered for a moment, trying to get your brain to work to try to explain to your grandfather. “I love him! My omega loves him. We only want him!”
“You just saw him again two days ago after a seven year estrangement. How the fuck do you know if you are in love with him or not?” He shouted. You winced. You knew your grandfather was pissed; he only swears when he’s enraged. His alpha was going crazy. His little pup just got mated to an unhinged alpha after only talking to him for two days. It didn’t matter if you two were high school sweethearts. A lot of things could change in seven years, and here you were tying yourself until the end of your days to an alpha who he didn’t approve of at all. Jinchul just told him some things about Reed that he was horrified about. He never should’ve let Reed come to Korea. He should’ve been a better grandfather and figured out a way to stop you from being Korea’s omega representative for the experiment. He wanted to cry. He had failed you in so many ways. If only he didn’t need to think of Korea first; he wouldn’t have failed his only grandchild and the last of his family.
“(Y/n), what’s going on? Why didn’t you wait to get to know him? There is a trial period for a reason!” Jinchul finally exclaimed, breaking out of his shock. Normally you’d never do anything this wild. Like, what happened?
“I-” you were cut off when the back door abruptly opened and revealed your alpha mate. You bet he actually had been straining to listen the whole time if something went wrong. You also wouldn’t be surprised if he was standing outside listening for if you were in danger, or what he considered as danger towards you.
“I heard shouting.” Christopher casually leaned against the doorway, staring at your grandfather, eyes glowing blue. His alpha was itching for a fight. Just because Gunhee was your grandfather didn’t mean he’d tolerate his little mate getting shouted at.
“You!” Gunhee seethed. “Who the fuck do you think you are? First, you threaten to kill so as to take my granddaughter for yourself, and now you’ve mated her before the experiment even begins!”
Christopher smirked cruelly at him. You closed your eyes seeing that, not wanting to watch. You couldn’t stop anything now even if you tried. “I’m Christopher Reed. National Hunter and number three hunter in the world. And the mate of your only family left,” he drawled knowing that it was going to piss off Gunhee even more. He had been waiting for this moment.
Jinchul arrived at your side almost instantly and gently led you away from the currently warring alphas. Christopher’s eyes followed you but seeing as your best friend was merely getting you to safety in the corner, he allowed it.
“How dare you!” Gunhee’s eyes glowed as he stared back at Reed, waiting for the right moment to lunge. Christopher pushed himself off the doorway and moved into a fighting stance. For a moment, no one said or did anything before Gunhee and Christopher clashed.
Jinchul hauled you behind him in the corner, holding his arms out to protect you even if both of you were shaking at the sheer power coming from the two fighters. You clutched onto him, keening. Both fighting alphas ignored it as they proceeded to destroy the dining and living rooms while fighting.
“Jinchul, make them stop!” You wanted to cry. You didn’t want your grandfather or your mate getting hurt. While you could heal them, you didn’t want them fighting. Your flashbacks were starting, and you were panicking.
Jinchul bit his lip. Strength wise, there was nothing he or you could do, but he knew that he needed to do something before something regrettable happened, more than it already did, Jinchul thought to himself about your mating. “Okay, (y/n), I need you to keen as loud as you can while I let loose a growl. We can’t intervene physically so we need to do it emotionally. Once we get their attention, well, I need you to cry,” Jinchul told you. That was the best he could think of on the spot. You nodded fretfully. You just wanted them to stop. He took a deep breath then let loose the loudest growl he could and following that, you instead gave out a loud mewl instead of keening before promptly bursting into heart wrenching sobs because of the stress, your scent burning.
At your mewling, both alphas stopped and turned their attention to you. Christopher moved faster and shoved Jinchul away to wrap you in his arms.
“My mate.” Christopher squeezed you tightly to him, scenting you. He made shushing noises feeling rather frantic at your crying knowing he stressed you out too much because he fought your grandfather. You mewling was a very bad sign. “It’s alright. Alpha’s here. Neither me nor your grandfather are actually hurt besides some scrapes. It’s mostly just the furniture.” Sure, the two had some scrapes, but it hadn’t gotten that bad before you and Jinchul intervened. You sobbed in his arms, clinging back onto him. “Come now, omega. Everything is fine. We’ve stopped fighting.”
Jinchul had moved to intercept your grandfather who was about to rush to you after he regained his balance. “Please don’t,” Jinchul said to Gunhee. “I know it’s hard. But it’s not something that can be taken back. Just let him calm her down.” With gritted teeth, Gunhee knew Jinchul was right, and so he and Jinchul stood there waiting for Reed to calm you down. It was hard for Gunhee watching you break partly because of him and not be the one comforting you. Gunhee closed his eyes in some regret as he heard your next words.
“Scared. Alpha, I’m scared,” you mewled, “Don’t want you and grandpa to fight. Don’t want mate or grandpa to get hurt.” You didn’t understand how everything escalated so quickly, your PTSD triggered. Christopher rocked you back and forth, rumbling, while releasing more of his scent. You weren’t calming down as both you and your omega were freaking out which amplified the other, so at last, he just princess carried you and held you tightly to him, forcing your face into the side of his neck by his scent gland while pumping out as much of his scent as he could while doing his best to reassure you. Even if it made you go into a scent high, it’d be better than your endless sobbing which was partly his fault. He had you press your hand to his heart so as to feel his heartbeat, so you could feel that he was still alive. It took a while, but your mewling finally died off once you kept smelling his sandalwood scent and felt the beating of his heart as he all but crushed you to him crooning to you that he and your grandfather weren’t fighting anymore. The mating bond helped calm you down in a way you couldn’t before on your own. Your mate being the one comforting you and who soothed you in the end. You sniffled but finally calmed down. You healed Christopher’s scrapes to make yourself feel better.
Gunhee and Jinchul watched as Reed focused all his attention on you to calm you down after being triggered. For as much as they absolutely despised Reed right now, they had to admit that he was very attentive to you in a way a mate should be. Gunhee sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. He had a headache, some scrapes from the fight, a destroyed home, and it was still only breakfast time. Today was going to be a long day.
“Let’s just eat breakfast, okay?” Gunhee broke the silence. Jaejoong was kind enough to make food and kept it in the kitchen when the clown fiesta was happening before getting out of the war zone. All of you just went into the kitchen and ate silently. Reed kept feeding you and himself after having placed you on some free space on the kitchen counter. You doubted that there would be any productive conversations today. It looked like your grandfather and Jinchul agreed as they didn’t bring anything up before they had to go. You hugged both goodbye after healing your grandfather under the watchful eye of your alpha mate then they left to go back to work.
Christopher wasn’t the happiest that you started smelling like other alphas, even if it was your grandfather and best friend, so he dragged you back to your cottage, and the two of you bathed together. He scented you in your nest, and the two of you spent the rest of the morning just cuddling and watching some kdrama that you had been watching before Christopher came to Korea. This morning exhausted you, and you just wanted to stay home and relax with your mate. Your grandfather called to warn you that repair workers were coming to fix his house so to not freak you out that strangers were over at the main house with Jaejoong supervising them so you didn’t need to.
Later that afternoon, the floodgates opened. You and Christopher were just hanging out in your bedroom. Him doing something on his phone while you were playing TFT. But someone in chat was talking about you and Christopher so you looked up what they were talking about after you finished your game. “Oh. My. God. What!? How?!” You shrieked.
Dispatch: BREAKING NEWS
We have received word that America’s National Hunter Reed Chistopher and South Korea’s little sister and S-Rank Hunter Go (y/n) have mated despite the experiment not starting for almost another month. We have also learned that the two were high school sweethearts when Go-ssi lived with her parents in America. They lost touch a couple of years later because Go-ssi had to move back to South Korea after the tragic deaths of her parents who had fought valiantly during an A-Rank dungeon break half a year after the gates first appeared. It seems like fate that the two were able to reunite in adulthood and had the chance to be together again. After Go-ssi’s regrettable situation with Hunter Sung Jinwoo, will this lead to her happiness? Or did she rush too soon into mating with Reed-ssi after he had only arrived in South Korea two days ago?
Although from what has been seen, it appears that Reed-ssi is committed to being a great alpha for our beloved chairman’s only grandchild who’s also one of South Korea’s favorite hunters. Here are some pictures of them having dinner together as he drove her, how he assisted her out of the car, and even paid for the bill to provide for her. So far, Reed-ssi seems like a quality mate for her. They were also spotted at the White Tiger’s Headquarters earlier in the day, most likely visiting Go-ssi’s close friend Baek Yoonho. We wish the best for the newly mated couple.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for more details.
The uproar was immediate from all corners of South Korea.
“How did they know so quickly? I didn’t even have the mark until last night?” You gawked at the news article. “Oh shit. Everyone’s going to kill me for them finding out this way.” Your phone was currently blowing up with calls and text messages that Christopher rather gleefully put on silent so you wouldn’t pay attention to it. Then he moved to read the article himself, leaning over you in your computer chair to look at your screen.
Christopher hummed as he read the article and decided to tell you part of the truth. “This has Sean written all over it. I messaged the group chat earlier that we mated, so he decided to have fun, I guess.” He wasn’t going to tell you that he was the one who told Sean to have fun with the information when he woke up this morning. He knew you’d figure it out, but he wasn’t going to offer the information at all.
Sean gladly took the fall for this one. It wasn’t as bad as all the conspiracy theories that weren’t true that he fed to the Korean public about Sung and Cha as payback for hurting you. Sean may not have seen you in almost a decade, but he and Julia had kept up with any news of you, which was quite easy due to your high profile life as the granddaughter of the Korean Hunter Association’s chairman. You were part of the unofficial small pack of theirs no matter if you were gone for so long, especially with Christopher having now mated you to make sure you’d come back to America as his mate like he's wanted to do for the past decade. Christopher just wanted to bring you home where you belonged, and Sean was more than willing to help. He and Julia missed you too, and he knew Jordan did as well. Sean protected his pack from the shadows as Christopher and Jordan did in the light, and you were his alpha’s beloved omega and his old best friend. The one to be protected - the heart and life of their lone alpha and the rest of the pack.
Moreover, people needed to know you were taken by Christopher and to fuck off. You were his omega mate. His. Ours, his alpha crooned. Christopher wasn’t going to have a repeat of yesterday with all those alphas bothering him and you. He was impressed that Sean managed to find pictures in such a short time through security cameras while also managing to have a story up with one of Korea’s biggest digital newspapers within less than twelve hours. That was remarkable even for him. It made his day, honestly. Christopher knew the news would reach America soon if not already. Maybe now all the alphas and omegas would quit their shit and leave you and him alone. He hated how back in America, they kept trying to get him to claim them. Fuck that. You were the only one for him, not anyone else, ever. He had lost count of how many he had quietly killed over the years for trying to take your place in his life. Thankfully, Jordan and Sean helped with the cleanup so it all looked like either bad luck freak accidents or just normal accidents even if there were rumors. Surprisingly, it was Jordan that was very good at that part despite being the least crazy one in the pack.
You tilted your head back to look up at him. “NSA or CIA?” You always knew that Sean would end up in either agency. That crazy beta was a little too good at stalking and getting the information he wanted, and then doing whatever he wanted with it and getting away with it. Even with your sharp sense of smell, you couldn't smell him, which he playfully used to scare you, and then you’d whack him for it. It was like he was a ghost so was able to listen in on a lot of things without people noticing. Christopher and Jordan didn’t help any matters at all when they kept backing Sean up if he somehow got in trouble. You wouldn’t be surprised if Sean had kept Christopher updated on you throughout your estrangement as much as he could. You still didn’t understand how he got so much information about you in high school enough to give Christopher reports about you if he had wanted it, which Christopher as an obsessive alpha did want those reports of you. Like, Sean used to be one of your best friends, but he found out some things even Julia didn’t know about and what you only told Christopher who you doubted would’ve said anything. Sean was a different kind of monster than your mate. If he was remotely the same as when you were teenagers, you knew he was actually capable of getting the information he wanted and then doing whatever he wanted with it, which in this case was outing the both of you. Probably as a damn favor to Christopher as a way to make sure everyone knew you were off limits. Damn it. There were consequences to this! “Also, when did you have time to do that?”
“We’re thinking he’s NSA, but who knows. It’s a toss up.” Christopher clearly ignored the second question causing you to throw your hands into the air. He just turned your chair around, hoisted you up into his arms since you still had your arms up in the air, wrapped your legs around his waist, carrying you, and began kissing you. You let him distract you. God knew you needed something nice before you had to face everyone.

Gunhee rubbed his face, still angry from this morning. Now he had to deal with any fallout of your mating becoming viral news. “I need a drink,” he grumbled as he gave up any pretense of trying to work. At least the repairs to his house were well underway. Gunhee could still remember how you cried and cried and cried after losing your parents and cried for the friends you had been forced to leave behind. While you only spent three years in America, it had made a large impact on you, and now he knows it was because of Christopher Reed and whatever friends you made who were probably tied to Reed as well.
Jinchul offered a strained smile as he sat in the chair in front of Gunhee’s desk, but kept quiet. His face fell back into an impassive look as he stared down at the news article on his phone. Neither of them wanted to do any work at the moment. It was too much. You were practically their pup, the one that they protected since you lost your parents and came back to Korea.
Jinchul took care of you all these years when Gunhee had to put Korea first. He was your best friend and essentially second guardian over you. He got you out of trouble so many times he swore one day he'd really have a heart attack from something that would involve you, and here you were. Not a heart attack but it felt like he might as well have had one.

”Yoonho!” Miseon screamed. Baek came rushing into the living room, panicked, wondering why his mate was screaming. Jiyeon sat next to her, blank faced, clutching onto Miseon as if that would ground her.
“What is it?” Baek looked around trying to look for why his Miseon screamed for him, ready to fight, his hair started turning white. She pointed shakily at the computer. Confused, he stopped his transformation, and he bent over the two to read what she was pointing at and froze in shock for a moment. “I just saw her yesterday afternoon…” He had to move to the couch or else his knees would buckle. With him being over a decade older than you and the oldest in the group, in a way, you had been his little sister, someone he wanted to protect especially after the tragedies you kept experiencing with him over and over. He promised Byung-Gyu before the last Jeju raid that he’d watch over you and Jiyeon if anything happened, and now this week made everything into a bigger mess than it already was.
“She didn’t even tell me,” Miseon cried. Jiyeon’s grip on her best friend tightened as she buried her face in her fellow omega’s shoulder. Both women clung onto the other.
Baek breathed out shakily. “There’s something off about it all, Miseon-a. Like I told you, she called him ‘alpha’ and wanted to spend time with him pretty much uninterrupted the next few days, so it sounds like they might have planned it. I think she would’ve told you after, but it seems like the article came out first.” Both omegas accepted his logic. That seemed more like you.
“What was she thinking?” Jiyeon asked. That was the question going through all of their heads. It seemed too rushed. Too unlike you. All the years of knowing you, you had only ever looked at Sung Jinwoo, willing to wait years for him without rushing, and now that your childhood sweetheart was back, you mated him within two days?
“Reed didn’t take it well when Choi got anywhere near her. He seemed uncomfortable with me as a mated alpha, but nothing like the leering he did to Choi,” said Baek, thinking back to yesterday. “He said that they’ll definitely be mates, but neither Choi nor I thought he meant he’d mate her later that night.”
All three traded looks, worried. Hopefully when you contacted them, you would be okay and that you‘d tell them that you mated because you wanted to and not because you were forced or just trying to get over Sung, even if they were pretty sure that you had been over him even before the announcement of the experiment came about. They didn’t understand what was going on, but they’d find out.
—-
Choi stared at the news article in disbelief in his office at the Hunter’s Guild Headquarters. It’s been only two days since Reed arrived in Korea. Sure, you called Reed ‘alpha’, but even intended mates did that, so what happened last night that led to the two of you to mate for life?
Cha was glad that you found a mate. That would mean that you were off limits, and that Jinwoo can finally move on to be with her fully. She knew he still had some feelings for you, but now that you were happily mated, everyone can finally move on from what happened.
After having a heart to heart with Jinwoo yesterday, which he laid out his feelings about the scandal and how he felt about you especially now that you were being forced along with Jongin to participate in the mating project, she realized what exactly the whole situation meant for him too; that you were caught up as a victim to what they stupidly did without thinking of the consequences. She didn’t understand at the beginning why everyone was making such a big deal, which was why she kept arguing with Jongin about the scandal. You and Jinwoo hadn’t even started dating yet. Sure there was a promise, but you and Jinwoo still weren’t dating in her mind as he hadn’t taken the courtship further, even though you were already doing some courting rituals even before it was officially the dating part, which meant that you were exclusive.
Cha was born to alpha parents, so she didn’t have any close omega family nor did she make close friends with them in school. The situation was one of those things that came from being told by family, which was why so many unmated omegas were upset because while it was uncommon for it to happen as a whole, it was still happening inside of Korea. Cha was sorry that you became collateral damage to the whole situation. She just didn’t like her name being dragged through the mud, so she was angry with you, but that was unfair as Jinwoo told her. She was also sorry that her guild was suffering as Jongin finally told her this morning. Cha didn’t mean for so many people to get hurt; she just didn’t think of the consequences because she knew she imprinted on Jinwoo.
Cha hasn’t been shy in telling Jinwoo that she’s imprinted on him. She was showing signs of it and all! But Jinwoo looked uncomfortable each time she said it to him; although, she didn’t understand why. Maybe now that you were mated, he’d be more accepting of the thought that they were meant to be together as imprinted soulmates. She knew he also had an intense attraction to her, so she pursued him. Jinwoo had already done such amazing things, why couldn’t they be the first alpha couple to have imprinted on one another? At least she knew she imprinted, and that’s what mattered to her along with the fact that she was dating Jinwoo who still had feelings towards her throughout the scandal. She didn’t regret being with Jinwoo, but she now understood that because of her actions, people were legitimately hurt and would see her horribly for it. It was a harsh way of being reminded that actions have consequences.

Jinwoo saw the news report on TV because Jinah started screaming out in shock, and he and their mother came running to see what was going on. He had just come home from a raid and nearly had a heart attack when he opened the front door and heard Jinah screaming. Jinwoo then fled back to his room and read the news article for himself.
Jinwoo had a sinking feeling in his chest as he stared at pictures of you smiling at another alpha who wasn’t him, happier than even when you were waiting for him. He hadn’t meant for things to go like this. He honestly wanted to be your alpha, but then the double dungeon happened, and things became twisted. He lost sight of what mattered. Jinwoo had gotten drunk on power thanks to how the system worked. He found himself infatuated with Haein due to how strong and beautiful she was who also had intense feelings for him. He viewed your healing as not as good as being able to fight and compared the two of you, which was wrong of him. Jinwoo knew that Haein didn’t imprint on him and that his smell to her was due to the system. He didn’t know how to tell Haein or you what was going on without revealing the system, which caused you pain that Jinwoo felt extremely sorry for as he was the reason for a lot of things that hurt you throughout the years.
It was stupid of him to have accepted the date that Haein kept asking for without talking to you first that someone was trying to date him. He hadn’t realized the full implications of what he did, despite having omega family members, as that wasn’t something he paid much attention to while he was trying to help his family survive since his father’s disappearance and his mother falling into the eternal sleep. Then the news outed him, and he endured your scream and cries. Then he experienced the full force of disappointment from his mother and sister. It crushed him. He had let Haein convince him that since he wasn’t dating you yet, as Jinah wasn’t in college, that it would be okay to go on a couple dates as he wasn’t exclusive. It wasn’t okay. His mother explained what he had ultimately done; that by promising you that he’d eventually try with you was being exclusive. Jinah couldn’t even look at him for a while and went silent around him. You had done so much for her, and her own brother betraying you hurt knowing that there was no going back from what he had done. You had barely talked to Jinah and his mother since, and he knew Jinah held it against him as the two of you had been very much like sisters once upon a time, but Jinwoo and his sister had been working on rekindling their relationship even if it was hard sometimes.
Shame spiraled in his chest. The last time he talked to you, you screamed and cried about how awful he was, which he agreed to. He was awful. There had been no excuses that would’ve made the situation better. He betrayed you, and now he was paying the price. He was dating a woman who he had felt intense feelings for and someone he could see developing a good relationship with, but you were no longer a part of his life like you had been for years. You had been his only friend for so long. The one who had been there from the beginning, and the one who loved him even when he was the weakest hunter in the world. It meant something that you had stayed, so why was he such an idiot that he couldn’t at least talk to you before everything happened? You hated him now and blocked him out of your life, and he was dating Haein. So why did it hurt so much when you happily moved on from him when he had done the same?
”My king, are you alright?” Beru had been in his room watching his period dramas as Jinah wanted some privacy for an hour, so she told him to go watch an episode or two while she studied in her room. He glimpsed at the pictures of you with another alpha on Jinwoo’s computer and understood. You would no longer be his queen even if he and the rest of the shadows wanted you to be rather than the alpha their king was courting now. You looked happy with the alpha you were with; nothing like how you were the last time they saw you. Jinwoo had taken back all the shadows he had placed in your shadow out of consideration that you two were completely over, and so he wouldn’t be tempted to invade your privacy.
“No, but I don’t deserve to be.” Jinwoo closed his eyes and in that one moment, he couldn’t help but wish that it was him instead of Christopher Reed in being your mate. He hurt you so much that he didn’t deserve to be in your life. But you deserved to be happy after everything he put you through even if it wouldn’t be with him. He put his head in his hands and wept.
-----
End Note:
To me, it makes sense that the system would prefer Haein over you for Jinwoo as it wants Jinwoo with the strongest female to have a strong heir, which is Haein. Haein mistakenly believes that she imprinted due to her intense attraction to Jinwoo, and that she actually loves his smell vs how everyone else smells to her. It’s not an imprint between the two even though Haein has every right to believe it as she’s exhibiting signs of it. Unfortunately, it’s the system at work, and Jinwoo and Haein aren’t imprints, but they’re still highly compatible. I tried to make the chapter at the end more sympathetic. Haein and Jinwoo need more growth if I try to bring them in more, which may or may not happen as much as I originally thought.
As an alpha who believes they imprinted, they can get territorial and will pursue their imprint without thinking of consequences because they believe they’re soulmates so why wouldn’t they chase even if a partner is already involved? So yeah, I just wanted to explain why I’m having Haein and Jinwoo act the way they do, but have them realized there are consequences, and you as the reader was collateral damage. The three of you were ultimately victims of the system. It makes sense in my head, so hopefully, it does for you all as well.
Most of the story is mainly about Christopher Reed and you as the Reader, so the rest of the Solo Leveling characters are more background characters. I might explore more with other SL characters but we’ll see how it goes.

A/N: I can’t let go LMAO. I just spent yesterday after I posted the epilogue to today writing this. This is what inspiration does to me! I changed the timeline a bit I think from what I’ve written in an ask from tumblr or something before. So, to establish a bit of a timeline:
The first week arriving in America was to get everything you and your parents needed immediately. Then you started going to school the following Monday, and now you were meeting Chris on a Saturday during lunchtime. Your grandmother has her community activities every other Saturday while the other two Saturdays was the community neighborhood meetup.
I hope you all continue to enjoy my one-shot collection. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to write these one-shots. I seriously don't want to let go of my OC characters like: Sean, Jordan, and Julia, along with some of the actual Solo Leveling characters: Christopher Reed, Woo Jinchul, Go Gunhee, Baek Yoonho, etc.
The Second Meeting
—-
You were nervous as you sat behind your father and mother in the car, who, along with your grandmother, who was sitting next to you, were invited to a gathering of the neighbors. Apparently, it happens twice a month. It was something the community originally did once, and then it never stopped. It took place at a nearby park that was a bit of a drive, but not very far from the neighborhood.
Two weeks ago, you had just moved to America from South Korea at fourteen years old, fifteen in Korea, to help your maternal grandmother, Soojin, as your aunt and her family couldn’t support her by themselves any longer. Your mother, Haneul, took it upon herself to take care of her mother since her sister couldn’t do it anymore, and you and your father, Jungkook, followed along, not wanting to separate from your mother. Your English was passable but with a distinct accent. Your parents had tried to teach you English growing up, and your grandparents from both sides helped with it, so you could carry on a conversation as well as a ten-year-old would be able to understand. You hoped you’d catch up to your age group soon enough. You had been getting better at it as your mother and grandfather focused on teaching you more thoroughly after school for the past year. Then your grandmother started helping you now that you’re in America.
The four of you got out of the car with your father helping your grandmother. Haneul aww’d over her darling mate helping her mother while you giggled at them. “Appa is good at helping grandma!” you said happily, trying to practice your English more. Haneul clapped her hands. Her mate and daughter were truly adorable.
“Of course I’m good at helping your grandma,” Jungkook boasted, laughing heartily. Both your mother and grandmother laughed, too.
“Oh, my dear grandchild. Come, let me introduce the three of you to our neighbors.” Soojin beckoned you and Haneul to follow her as she held onto Jungkook’s arm. The four of you walked slowly, but none of you minded, which your grandmother appreciated. You just took in the scenery. You hadn’t had the chance to go to this particular park before, and so you took the chance to look around. Soon, you all reached the party, and your grandmother began introducing you, your father, and your mother to everyone who kept coming up to the four of you.
You stared curiously at the alpha following his alpha and omega parents to come greet you four. He was the only other teenager at the park who was part of the party, although you heard that a few other teenagers lived a little further out from your neighborhood. So, it was either children or adults, except the two of you. He stared right back at you, and you almost hid behind your mother at how intense his eyes were. You bit your lip, not noticing him watching you do so, and something like desire flashed in his eyes before he completely wiped it from his expression.
“Mrs. Lee!” The woman called out to your grandmother.
“Ah! Phoebe, come meet my children and my grandchild.” Soojin smiled as she presented the three of you to them. “My daughter, Haneul, her mate Jungkook, and their daughter.”
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Phoebe Reed.” Phoebe held out a hand, which Haneul took. Both omegas smiled at each other. Phoebe then introduced her mate and son, “This is my mate Zeke and our son Christopher.”
“Nice to meet you.” You, Haneul, and Jungkook quickly bowed to them in greeting.
“Well, we’ll let you enjoy the party. We just wanted to introduce ourselves. We live a few houses down from you, so if you need anything, let us know!” Zeke said to you three.
“Thank you,” Jungkook said, exchanging a nod with the other alpha.
Suddenly, Christopher was in front of you, and you smiled up at him, wanting to get to know the only other teenager at the party. “Want to go talk somewhere else?” he asked you. His parents froze, staring at their son in a look Haneul could only decipher as horror. She looked worriedly at you while Jungkook raised an eyebrow. Soojin frowned, but said nothing as she didn’t feel any ill will from the Reed boy like she normally did. She dared to say it was the opposite. She had never seen him like this before.
“Okay,” you said. He held out a hand and waited patiently. You tilted your head to the side, examining him, before shrugging and taking his hand.
“Wait! Chris!” Phoebe called out to her son. “Maybe—” What did her cruel alpha son want with a dainty-looking omega like you? She loved her son, but even she knew that there was something deeply wrong with him.
Christopher cut her off uncaringly. “Come on, let’s go.” He gave a gentle tug on your hand, and you let him lead you. He cared about you, not them.
“Umma, appa, halmeoni, I’ll see you later!” You waved goodbye with your free hand before facing forward and gripping his hand a little tighter as you followed him, much to his joy.
“Stay where we can see you!” Haneul watched as you gave her a thumbs-up, and she watched as Christopher led you to a bench that was a little farther than the party, but still within watching distance once you told him that you wanted to stay in their line of sight. Haneul turned around and faced her mother. “What was with all the looks? Who did I just let take my daughter?” she hissed. For the standard omega, they were protective of their children—Haneul was no exception. Jungkook was also staring them all down. His sweet omega daughter had better not be in danger. Soojin exchanged a look with the Reed couple and began telling them about Christopher. All of them kept watch over the two of you while the three explained how Christopher typically acted.
“So you moved in two weeks ago?” Christopher asked you, sitting next to you on the bench. He fought the urge to just yank you onto his lap. He knew the moment he saw you that he was your imprint, but he knew he had to tread this carefully. You were an immigrant who could go back to Korea at any time, and you were clearly younger than he, too. He needed to find out more about you and figure out how to make you his and keep you. “Do you attend school yet?”
You hummed, thinking of what to say and how to say it. “Yes, we moved in two weeks ago, and I started school earlier this week.”
“Which school do you go to?” he continued asking. You told him the name of your school. “Good, that’s the one I attend. I’m a junior.”
“I’m a year one student,” you said, forgetting the word for it, but hopefully he’d understand what you meant. He did.
“Freshman then. Junior year is year three. That makes me maybe two years older,” he told you while fishing for answers without being too direct. He didn’t want to scare you off if you were uncomfortable with questions, especially since English was clearly your second language. Christopher watched you think. He could practically see the gears turning in your mind.
“I’m fifteen in Korean years, so fourteen in America.” You nodded, catching on that he wanted to know how old you were. You didn’t mind answering his questions. You also told him the year you were born because you knew that counting years of birth was different between the two countries and saying how old you were might not have been so clear.
“I see. Then that makes me two years older than you.” Christopher ruffled your hair just to see what your reaction would be. You pouted, which almost did him in. You looked so adorable. It was harder than he thought it would be not to lose it. He wanted to slather you in his scent so badly to tell everyone who got near you that you were his.
“Hey!” you whined, trying to smooth down your hair. “I’m not a little kid!” You didn't want the handsome alpha in front of you to think that you were just a kid.
“Of course you’re not,” Christopher said, staring at you fondly.
You looked up, ready to give him a piece of your mind, thinking that he was making fun of you, but you faltered. He actually genuinely looked like he meant that he didn’t see you as a kid. There was something dark and intense in his eyes, but at the same time, they looked at you softly. “Then why tease me like one?” You pouted some more. You were feeling a little better at that at least.
“Because you’re cute,” he stated simply. He had an arm on the top of the bench, and his head was supported by his hand. He gave you a half smile as he watched your irritation deflate at his words.
You blushed, averting your eyes. That was pretty bold of him to say, especially since the two of you just met. “Thanks,” you mumbled, scratching your cheek. Your omega squealed happily at the compliment.
Christopher chuckled. “I’ll walk you to school from now on. I’ll pick you up at 7:15 am.”
“Appa’s been dropping me off,” you said shyly. You didn’t know how your parents would take it that he wanted to walk you to and from school, much less your grandmother. All three were rather overprotective of you, thinking that you’d have a hard time settling in a new country and all that entailed.
“That wasn’t a no,” he teased you. “It’s within walking distance of our neighborhood. Tell him I’ll take care of you, and I’ll bring you home as well. I do have baseball practice if you don’t mind waiting after school for me to walk you home. You can watch our practice too.” Christopher looked rather hopeful about being able to do those things with you. Anything so that he could keep spending more time with you.
You didn’t mind that he would walk you to and from school—you would like it even. You thought he was handsome, but you didn’t want to get your hopes up, even if he called you cute. But then it clicked. “Baseball?!”
“Yes?” He raised a brow at you, suddenly saying the sport he plays.
“My first friend here plays baseball!” you said cheerfully.
“Your friend?” Christopher’s voice went flat. “You have a friend who plays baseball here?” He sat up straight and faced you. Who did he have to intimidate to make sure they knew you were his?
You somehow managed to miss his tone completely, a little more into recalling details about your friend. “Ah, his name is Free—I mean Sean Freeman.” You looked proud of saying it in the right order. You liked Sean, but only as a friend. He was very fun to be around with his mischievousness. You did want to whack him on some occasion because of him teasing you a lot, but you knew it was all in good fun, so you didn’t mind in the end.
Christopher internally swore with his alpha growling too. Of all the fucking people, that little shit was your friend? He didn’t even know that Freeman was capable of making friends. Acquaintances, sure. Many of them, in fact. Friends? That was rare, if at all. Christopher would know. He hated people and rarely had friends; the one lone one was Jordan because he refused to leave him alone, and it took one to know one with him and Freeman. “I see. Yeah, he’s on the team.” Christopher said through gritted teeth, trying to smile at you and appear nonthreatening. Intimidating that asshole was actually going to take work. He wasn’t looking forward to it, but Freeman had better deal with the fact that you were his.
You beamed at him, completely unaware of his sudden inner turmoil, and he took a deep breath at the sight of it, trying to calm down as his alpha was now growling at him to not fuck this up. “So you’ll ask your dad then?”
“Yes, I’ll ask him.” You nodded. You liked that this alpha wanted to take care of you. It would also be nice to have another person to talk to.
Christopher rumbled at that, pleased that you easily gave in to him. You blushed again at hearing his rumbling and chirped a little in response. Hearing you chirp at him, Christopher tightly clenched his fists until he almost bled, since he wanted to lunge at you and keep you trapped in his arms forever. He could imagine himself working and taking care of you, so you could just wait at home for him while doing whatever you wanted as long as it made you happy. He took another deep breath to try to calm down, but almost regretted it once your scent wafted into his nose. He needed to distract himself, and quickly at that. “Also, do you have a number I could call just in case I can’t walk you for whatever reason in the morning?” Christopher asked, knowing that it was simply an excuse. He’d make it every morning come hell or high water, but plausible deniability was needed.
“Ah, yeah! Appa and Umma took me shopping for one a few days since we arrived!” you said, fishing it out of your small purse that you were carrying. “Um…Number?” you asked once you unlocked your phone and went to contacts. Christopher gave you his number, and you made sure to send him a text to tell him it was you. Christopher’s phone rang, and making sure that the two of you had the right numbers, he saved your contact info to his phone. You smiled shyly up at him again. The only contact information you had was your friend Sean, your other classmate Julia who you’ve started getting close to that Sean didn't blow his top about, and now Christopher.
Christopher stared down at you rather helplessly. You were too adorable for this world. He needed to protect you, oh god, he needed to make sure you were safe. He watched as you suddenly held out your hand, a blush on your face still. He cocked his head to the side and placed his hand in yours. You gave a few squeezes before letting go and scratched at your cheek again, eyes averted. He’d figure out what it meant. It seemed like you used more non-verbal actions when you couldn’t convey the meaning verbally due to your limited English. “Too cute,” he mumbled, and you caught it and blushed even harder.
You were shocked that this good-looking alpha was paying so much attention to you, especially as you had just moved to America and didn’t really know a lot of people yet. Your omega was beyond pleased that the handsome alpha in front of you was paying such close attention to you. She whispered to you to appeal to the alpha in front of you, that he would live up to his promise of taking care of you. Both of you were excited to get to know him and maybe become something more. You didn’t want to get your hopes up, though, so you were going to take it slow.
Christopher paused for a moment before he ran a hand through your hair once, subtly scenting you with his wrist scent gland. He saw you sniff, smelling his scent for a moment as it got stronger when he did that, and you released some more of your lavender with ocean mist scent in response, happy that he did such an intimate gesture. Christopher really did almost lunge at you then, but then your parents and his came up to you both. He was actually grateful about it because he didn’t know how much longer he could hold back. He needed to learn how to not scare you off with how intense he could be until you were his, when only then would he be more comfortable being himself around you without you freaking out.
“Lovey!” your mother called for you as both sets of parents walked up, along with your grandmother. “It’s time to go eat lunch!” You perked up and made sure you had everything. Christopher also helped you double-check. His parents were looking at him warily, but Christopher didn’t care. He was suddenly glad that he had decided to come today, even though he rarely attended these functions. Food was food, and now he found his omega imprint. Today was a good day.
“Umma! I made a new friend,” you said cheerfully in Korean. You looked so happy that your parents and grandmother couldn’t help but soften. It seemed that despite what the Reeds and Soojin told your parents, you seemed okay and cheerful. “Let’s go eat! I’m hungry!” you said in English this time.
Christopher continued to watch you for a moment before he helped you stand up. That made all of the adults raise an eyebrow. Haneul and Jungkook stared at Christopher, frowning, with Soojin frowning at him too. He didn’t care. He only cared about what you thought of him. He held out his hand again, which you took immediately.
Phoebe and Zeke looked at each other, bewildered. Their son had never acted this way before, as far as they could tell, anyway. The only one that Christopher seemed to tolerate was that Jordan Woods boy, but their son seemed genuinely interested in you—they didn’t know whether to be happy that their son was interested in you or to fear for your safety. You seemed like a sweet omega, and they didn’t want Christopher to hurt you.
“You need to eat, then you can ask your dad about what I offered,” Christopher told you, refusing to let go of your hand.
“Okay.” You were pleased that the very handsome alpha was already starting to take care of you. Maybe you had a chance with him after all. You tugged at his hand a bit, quietly insisting it was time to go get food.
“Let’s go eat lunch then.” Soojin decided to break the tense atmosphere. “Jungkook, can you be a dear and help your mother-in-law?”
“Of course, of course,” your father said, offering his arm for your grandmother to hold onto. Haneul’s lips pursed, still watching you and Christopher, but said nothing. The seven of you headed to the area that had the food.
Christopher led you to the food stands without waiting for any of them once he heard you give another chirp. He promised to take care of you, so he would, which meant that he needed to feed you since you were hungry.
It was your family’s turn to give each other bewildered looks. That was new from you. You were typically too shy, so you rarely chirped around non-family members. The adults followed behind the two of you but made sure to keep an eye on the two of you from now on. Haneul and Jungkook exchanged looks. They’d need to make sure to watch over you more until they could determine if Christopher was good for you or not. If he wasn’t, they’d send you back to Korea, and that would be that.
