You know how Ethan and Aiden can do that thing where they shlorp their weird little bodies together and become one big mega werewolf? Do you think one of them always has to be the right side and the other has to always be the left or can they switch it up? And do you think, if they can switch, they ever fight about who gets to be on which side, or do they just take turns? Also, do they merge consciousness and both control the whole body at once, or do they control their respective sides, so left side can smack the right side and do a whole "stop hitting yourself" routine with it?
I think the Twins were the bitches of the Alpha Pack too.
Hear me out. I know the Twins could go all Voltron wolf and beat everyones ass right? But... I don't think they were supercharged the same way Deucalion, Kali and Ennis would've been.
Ethan tells Scott and Stiles that Aiden and Him tore through their pack, one by one, leaving their Alpha for last. I don't think that they could've absorbed the power of their pack if they weren't Alphas, not the same way as Deucalion, Kali, and Ennis - all of whom were Alphas when they killed their packs.
Ethan and Aiden, despite their Voltron wolf merging abilities, were regular alpha wolves. They had typical Alpha abilities, and their Twin-ness gave them a leg-up because of the merge. Which is why Deucalion collected them. Similarly to how he wanted Scott because of the True Alpha thing.
HOWEVER I think that made them the Bitches of the Alpha pack. They take orders from Kali, mostly, they get punished by Deucalion (the cuts on the cheeks), and they seem to fall behind Ennis whenever they've interacted. They were sent to do the 'dirty' work - track down Isaac, attend high school, play spy with Lydia and Danny, help Kali make Derek kill Boyd, attack Jennifer Blake before they knew she was the Darach, etc etc etc. They also seem to take orders rather than give them.
They might be the youngest, yes, but I also think they were the bitches too. Just like they were before as betas, omegas. And just like they were after they lost their Alpha spark.
And it kind of speaks to how Deucalion controlled them - why would he allow them to become supercharged when they can merge? He doesn't. He probably suggested that they go after the pack one-by-one until they killed the Alpha last so they wouldn't be more powerful than him.
Maybe I'm late to the party on realizing this, but I don't see anyone talk about it - so maybe I'm not?

“What’s going on?” Scott asks as he comes to a stop next to Stile and Isaac in the school hallway.
“Nothing.” Stiles shakes his head quickly not believing Scott needed to know, but Isaac ruined Stiles' plan.
“Just watching Y/n get hit on by the twins.” Isaac smirks, but then gets hit upside the head by Stiles.
“Dude.” Stiles looked at him with a glare.
“What?” Scott looks at them with shock and panic.
“Over there.” Isaac nodds his head to where Y/n’s with the alpha twins. “They’ve been flirting with her for the last 15 minutes.”
Scott looks to where Isaac nodded to with wide eyes. “Seriously?”
Stiles nodds. “Yeah.”
“What do you think it’s about?” Scott questions, watching every movement they made towards his friend.
Stiles raises a brow at the true alpha. “What like ulterior motives?”
“They could just think she’s hot.” Isaac shrugged his shoulders, he’d admit Y/n was hot. But he instantly got glares from Scott and Stiles. “Not helping. Got it.”
Later that day after school Y/n and Scott headed back to Scott’s house to study. It had been an hour of pure silence and Y/n couldn’t take it anymore.
“You okay? You’ve been silent since we left school.” Y/n asks, looking concerned at him.
“What did the alpha twins want?” He blurted out what had been on his mind.
“Huh?” Y/n now looked at him confused.
“They were talking to you practically all day. What’d they want?” Scott shrugged his shoulders, not sure how his question wasn’t clear.
“Nothing.” Y/n shrugged back, not getting the big deal.
“They had to want something.” Scott pushed wanting to know but also thinking in the back of his head was this to much? Was he just jealous?
“Is it so hard to believe that they’d just want to talk to me?” Y/n raises her eyebrows in shock at her friend's words.
Scott scoffs. “They were flirting, not talking.”
Y/n nodds. “To flirt you have to talk.”
“So you knew they were flirting.” Scott looked at her with shock and disgust.
Y/n let’s out a short laugh. “Kinda hard to miss but it was really only Aiden.”
“Scott narrows his eyes after hearing the name come out of her mouth. “Ok so you have a preference on a twin.”
“Ethan’s gay!” Y/n yelled looking at Scott with shock and disbelief. “As for the flirting, yeah I enjoyed it. . . It was nice to have that kind of attention.” She bowed her head feeling slightly insecure and embarrassed.
“That kind of attention?” Scott asked, confused on what she meant by that.
“If you haven’t noticed I don’t get flirted with or asked out that often.” Y/n explained keeping her gaze down, playing with a loose thread on her jeans.
“Y/n.” Scott spoke her name sadly, regretting how he came about and was treating her earlier in this conversation.
“Just forget about it. Okay.” She waved him and his impending pity off and got back to studying.
“Y/n.” Scott called her name after a few minutes of silence and thought.
“Hmmm” Y/n hummed in acknowledgment.
“I’d flirt with you anytime.” Scott smiled sheepishly at her.
His hand raised, reaching out to caress her cheek, but she grabbed his wrist and stopped him. “You and I are the same, Erica. We’re survivors. We do what we have to, not what we want to.”
“I’m not like you,” she disagreed, shaking her head.
“I can protect you,” he offered, his other hand splaying on the desk by her hip.
“Liar,” she scoffed, throwing his hand away.
“I protected you in the vault,” he retorted, boxing her in with his other hand.
“I died in that vault!” she corrected, pushing at his chest, but he grabbed her wrists and pinned them to his chest to keep her from doing it again.
“You charged Kali when I wasn’t around! I-” Aiden started, but stopped and clenched his jaw as he thought back to that day. His grip loosened as his head fell forward, looking at her hands before meeting her eyes again. “I had to carry your body out.”
“I don’t care,” she replied, swallowing dryly. “If I hadn’t died then, you would have let me die like you left Boyd and Cora to die.”
“I didn’t want anything to happen to you,” he tried to convince her.
“You’re not powerless, Aiden,” she snapped. “You’re all alphas.”
“Yeah, well, it’s not as democratic as it sounds,” he told her, clenching his jaw as he let her wrists go. “I feel bad about Boyd because it meant hurting you, but if you’re thinking I should be all filled with remorse, just try and remember Derek killed Ennis.”
“Ennis died fighting Derek,” Erica corrected. “What you did to Boyd was murder. It’s not the same thing.”
“What are you more angry about, Erica?” he wondered. “The fact that Boyd was killed, or the fact that I was part of it?” When her brows furrowed at his question, he chuckled and leaned towards her. “See, I think a part of you does like me, and now that we’re clearly on opposite sides of this fight, you don’t know how to handle it.” Erica shook her head, but her eyes remained on his as he invaded her space further. “Want me to be the Romeo to your Juliet?”
