Say that you're alphabetizing your books or movies or music or whatever; what do you do with titles that begin with the word The? Do you file them under T like a degenerate, or do tou ignore the article and file it under whatever the actual title is?

The Martian should be filed under M, never T. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy goes under H, same thing with The Hunger Games and The Handmaid's Tale and The Hobbit (well, that last one I actually file under L for Lord of the Rings so I can keep the whole series together, but my point still stands).

I need to know that I'm not the weirdo here, because my entire family seems to think that The is a legitimate part of the title. Tell them I'm right. Somebody? Anybody? Please...
